Warg Attack is the tenth level of LEGO The Lord of the Rings. It is the fourth level of The Two Towers.

Arrival in Edoras[]

[Gandalf, Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas ascend the stairs to Théoden's Chamber, while Háma and two Gondor Soldiers open the door]
Gandalf the Grey: Ah!
Háma: I cannot allow you before Théoden King so armed, Gandalf Grayhame by order of Grima Wormtongue.
[Gandalf gestures to the others and they all begin to disarm and hand over their weapons to the Gondor Soldiers]
Háma: Your staff?
Gandalf the Grey: You would not part an old man from his walking stick?
[Háma leads the quartet to King Théoden's Chamber, where Théoden himself is under the control of Grima Wormtongue]
Grima Wormtongue: [Whispering to Théoden] My lord, Gandalf the Grey is coming.
[Gandalf, Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas enter the chamber]
Grima Wormtongue: [Whispering to Théoden] He's not welcome.
King Théoden: [Haltingly] Why should I welcome you, Gandalf Stormcrow?
Grima Wormtongue: A just question my liege.
Gandalf the Grey: Be silent.
[Gandalf the Grey becomes Gandalf the White]
Gandalf the White: Ah!
[Éowyn stands up, but is interrupted by two Gondor Soldiers]
Grima Wormtongue: His staff. I told you to take the wizard's staff.

Battle against Grima[]

[After removing Théoden's first gray heart and turning it red]
Gandalf the White: I will draw you Saruman as poison is drawn from a wound.
[After removing Théoden's second gray heart and turning it red]
Saruman the White: If I go, Théoden dies.

Théoden returns to normal[]

[Éowyn arrives and removes Théoden's beard so he can return to normal]
King Théoden: Éowyn. Éowyn.
[Háma arrives and gives Théoden his sword back]
Grima Wormtongue: [He runs terrified] Get out of my way! [He pushes two Rohirrim Soldiers out of his way]
Gandalf the White: This is but a taste of the terror Saruman will unleash. You must fight!
Aragorn: Open war is upon you!
King Théoden: I know what it is you want of me, but I will not bring further death to my people. [He's leaving]
Háma: By order of the King, we make for the refuge of Helm's Deep.

Attack of the Warg-riders[]

[Rohan Soldiers are on their way to Helm's Deep]
Gimli: They flee from the mountains when they should stand and fight!
Aragorn: Éomer is loyal. His men will return and fight for their king.
Gandalf the White: With luck, the search will not be in vain.
[Gandalf runs to the right, while Háma and Gamling notice an attack by Warg-riders]
Háma: Eagh!
Aragorn: Wargs! We are under attack!
King Théoden: You must lead the people to Helm's Deep, and make haste.
[Éowyn throws her sword to the ground]
Gimli: Charge! Waaaargh!
Aragorn: Ah!

The End of Aragorn?[]

[Aragorn hits a Warg and then cuts the body of an Orc, but the Orc's legs throw him over the cliff]
Aragorn: AAAHHHH!!!
[After the end of the battle]
Rohirrim Soldier: [Crying]
Legolas: Aragorn!
Gimli: Aragorn? [He steps on the Orc that threw Aragorn] Tell me what happened and I will ease your passing.
Orc: Hahaha! He took a little tumble off the cliff.
[Gimli kills the Orc who threw Aragorn off the cliff. Théoden throws the Orc's legs off the cliff. He leaves because he couldn't find Aragorn]
Gimli: [Crying]
[The level ends]

Story[]

Gandalf takes the trio to Rohan's capital, Edoras, where Gandalf frees Théoden from Saruman's control. Aragorn stops Théoden from executing Wormtongue, who flees. Learning of Saruman's plans to destroy Rohan with his Uruk-hai army, Théoden evacuates his citizens to the Hornburg fortress in Helm's Deep. Gandalf sets out to find Éomer and his followers, hoping that they will fight for their restored king. Aragorn befriends Théoden's niece Éowyn, who falls in love with him. When refugees traveling to Helm's Deep are attacked by Orcs riding Saruman's Wargs, Aragorn falls off a cliff and is presumed dead. Brego, Théodred's horse, finds him and rides towards Helm's Deep, witnessing the march of Saruman's army towards the fortress.

Walkthrough[]

Level Prelude[]

After completing the previous level, you will appear on the road to Edoras with Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas and Gandalf the White. Sauron will still block Frodo, Sam, Gollum, Faramir and Madril's path, so you still won't be able to do anything from Frodo, Sam, Gollum, Faramir and Madril's perspective. From the perspective of Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas and Gandalf, follow the path of ghost studs to Edoras to start this level. You'll be riding a horse, so it won't take long to get there.

Level Walkthrough[]

You start in King Théoden's Chamber. Defeat five Rohirrim Soldiers, use Gandalf's magic to turn Théoden's gray heart red, and hit Grima. When the next five Rohirrim Soldiers appear, they will destroy a gate. Defeat them, build a trap to trap Grima, and quickly use Gandalf's magic on Théoden to turn another of his gray hearts into red hearts. Defeat the five Rohirrim Soldiers that will appear, build another trap to trap Grima, and use Gandalf's magic on Théoden to turn his last gray heart into a red heart and then move on to the next area.

In the next area, you will have to defeat Warg-riders. In the first wave, only two of them will come. Run towards them and hit them to defeat the Orcs riding them. It is recommended to defeat them with Legolas, as his bow can defeat the Orcs from a distance. In the second wave, three Warg-riders will come. Defeat them and in the third wave, four Orcs will come. In the fourth and final wave, six Orcs will come, and one of them on an unreachable ledge will use his horn to scare away the horses. You can run up to one of the Wargs and press the attack button several times to defeat the Orcs riding them. Defeat these last six Warg-riders to finish the level.

Collectables[]

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

  • Minikit Chests
    1. (F) In the room you fight Grima Wormtongue, head to the southwest corner of the room. Use a character with Elven Rope on the grapple point to open a curtain, revealing a Minikit. Grab it.
    2. (S) Use an archer character to shoot arrows at the two targets above Théoden's throne. They will break into pieces that can be built into a minikit.
    3. (S) Use a character with axe to break the two cracked tiles in the floor. Assemble them into pictures of horses. Break both of them and the minikit is rewarded.
    4. (F) Use Sam to light the cauldron at the south of the room. It will spit out pieces. Build a minikit out of them.
    5. (S) While riding on Wargs, usa an archer character to shoot five flowers and reveal this minikit.
    6. (F) Use a digger character to dig up the blocks and use a character with magic to put them on the purple pad. Climb the blocks to the minikit.
    7. (F) Throw Gimli or Gloin at the cracked tiles on Gollum's wall. Then, climb it as Gollum to reach this minikit.
    8. (F) Break the wooden wall near the save statue. Then, use the Berserker's bombs to blow up the rocks behind it. The minikit will be there.
    9. (F) Use a super strength character to pull the orange handle on the west corner of the map and reveal this minikit.
    10. (F) Use a digger character to dig up a mannequin with a wizard hat. Get on a Warg, break the mannequin and break more mannequins under the time limit while jumping over hurdles. A minikit is rewarded.
  • Treasures
    1. Giant Ancient Crown
      • (F) On the left side of Théoden's throne, you will find a silver statue. Use the Berserker's bombs to destroy it and grab the treasure.
    2. Decorative Horseshoes
      • (F) Break a Morgul rock with a character capable of breaking Morgul objects. Pick up the item under the rock and follow the green trail. Pick up items along the way until you get to the horseshoes near the cliff.
    3. Warg Tooth
      • (F) Head south of the second area and you will find a dark cave in the middle of the area, under the cliff. Light it up with a character that can light up, hold on to a rope and use the second character to collect this treasure inside the large sundew.
  • Blacksmith Design
    • Mithril Gloves
      • (F) Near where you get the sixth minikit, head south to the edge of the cliff to find silver rocks. Destroy them with the Berserker's bombs, use a gardener character to place a plant and grab the newly created vine with an archer character. At the bottom of the vine, shoot three targets, jump to the handhold and grab this Blacksmith Design.

Unlockables[]

The minikit model in this level is a Black Horse. After completing the level, you unlock Gandalf the White. In Edoras you can buy King Théoden (Cursed), Éowyn, Háma and Gamling. In Isengard you can buy Grima Wormtongue (only appears at night). You will also be able to continue to Helm's Deep. After collecting all three treasures, you will be able to take a Giant Ancient Crown, a Decorative Horseshoes, and a Warg Tooth from your inventory. After collecting the Blacksmith Design, you will be able to craft a pair of Mithril Gloves.
