To the Top of the Tower is the fifteenth and final hero level of LEGO Batman: The Videogame. It is the fifth and final hero level of The Joker's Return.

Opening Biography[]

The Joker's clown-like appearance and big
smile hide a devious mind bent on creating as
much trouble as possible for his archenemy
Batman. His array of weapons includes an
electric hand buzzer, deadly machine guns,
and laughing gas.

Story[]

Batman and Robin go to Gotham Cathedral. There some thugs realize this and start fighting, but Batman looks through a window that the Joker is climbing. The thugs shoot the heroes until they run out of bullets. The heroes survive the gunfire and spring into action. When they open the windows of the cathedral, Harley Quinn shows up as a distraction. The heroes use water cannons to scare Harley Quinn. Finally they enter the cathedral and climb to the top. There Batman finds the machine that the Joker built, but Robin realizes that both Harley Quinn and the Joker are hiding in the cathedral bells. When they manage to get the villains out of the bells, the Joker calls in one of his Joker Goon to distract them with his rebuilt helicopter. The heroes manage to destroy the helicopter with the help of some water cannons, causing the platform to fall and Harley Quinn to pass out. The heroes confront the Joker, but when they manage to defeat him, he energizes one of the antennae, knocking the heroes unconscious. When they wake up, the Joker and his girlfriend Harley Quinn are about to give them one last little surprise, but Batman sees bats in bells on the ceiling. He uses his Batarang to hit the bells and release the bats, stinging the remaining villains. Commissioner Gordon and his army of Policemen come to take them to Arkham Asylum.

With the Joker's Group imprisoned, the Mad Hatter has tea with a rabbit, The Scarecrow stands still with crows on his shoulders, Killer Moth plays with a light bulb, Harley Quinn kisses photos of the Joker, and the Joker points a gun with a "bang" sign and laughs. Batman and Robin take a spin in the skies over Gotham with their air vehicles, until Batman puts the Batwing in front of the moon.

Walkthrough[]

You start at the entrance to Gotham Cathedral. Go to the center to destroy some shiny objects and build a suit dispenser, then put on the Demolition Suit as Batman. Go right to grab a handhold and get to a balcony, then use a detonator to destroy the silver door. Then put on the Magnet Suit as Robin and go left. Use Batman to destroy a silver object and build a metal wall. Push a statue with a platform to reach a balcony. Turn a mechanism to open the cathedral windows and you will start a fight against Harley Quinn. Use a water cannon to give and spend a heart. She will destroy the truck with the water cannon. Use the other water cannon and she will destroy it again. Build a water cannon to spend the last heart and she will run away. Build a fan to get to a window and head into the next area.

In the next area, go to the right and Harley Quinn will run away from you. Destroy a Joker box to build a lever, then pull the lever to lower a statue and use it as a platform. Destroy all the objects on a bridge to get to some ladder, then build a metal wall for Robin to climb. Pull a lever to move some lights. Use them as a platform and walk to the bottom of a ladder to put on the Glide Suit as Batman. Use some ladders to climb up, then glide like Batman so you can cross a gap. Spin a mechanism to help Robin cross the gap, then destroy some objects to reveal a button. Climb a metal wall as Robin while Batman is pressing the button to reach a balcony. Build a hook for Batman to climb. Pull two levers to open a door that will take you to the final area of ​​the level.

In the final area of ​​the level, you will come face to face with the Joker and his girlfriend Harley Quinn. Build some tiles, then push a statue to make it a platform. Use Robin to scale a metal wall, then build some handholds for Batman to climb on. Press a pressure plate with the two characters to knock the Joker out of a bell, then build an anvil to lift a hook off a zip line. Use a grappling hook with Batman to get to a platform, then glide to another platform and build some handholds for Robin to climb on. Press a pressure plate with the two characters to get Harley Quinn out of a bell. The Joker will then call a goon to come in his helicopter. Build a water cannon and get on it to hit it. Remove the 5 hearts from the helicopter to destroy it and drop the platform where the villains are. The Joker will start fighting with you. When he is at 8 and 4 hearts, he will use his hand to shock one of your characters. Switch to the other character to take a hit. Remove all 11 hearts he has to finish the level.

  • Minikit Canisters
    1. (S) Destroy a flowerpot to build a ladder, then press two buttons to open a window and get this minikit.
    2. (F) On the first balcony of the level, destroy a glass window with Batman or Batgirl in Sonic Suit to get this minikit.
    3. (F) Use Robin or Nightwing in the Attract Suit to collect 25 pieces, then place the pieces in an attracting machine to build a bomb. Destroy the bomb to reveal this minikit.
    4. (S) Destroy 3 silver statues with a character with explosives in the first area to receive this minikit:
      1. Near the civilian in danger.
      2. Near the second minikit.
      3. Near the suit dispenser with the Magnet Suit.
    5. (F) Use a high-jump character to get to a balcony, then pull a lever to reveal a platform and use it to reach this minikit.
    6. (F) Use the Joker or his tropical version to lower a platform, then use it to reach the platform containing this minikit.
    7. (S) Near a metal wall in the second area, go to the left being careful not to fall to get this minikit.
    8. (S) Located near the second lever in the second area.
    9. (F) Near the left pressure plate, use a high-jump character to reach this minikit.
    10. (S) Near the right platforms, use a character with explosives to destroy a silver box and reveal this minikit.
  • Piece Detector Red Brick
    • (F) Near a statue, drop down to reach a balcony. Use a character with super strength to move a piano, then hit a switch multiple times to make a citizen play the piano and get this red brick.

Unlockables[]

The minikit model in this level is The Joker. In the Batcave or Arkham Asylum you can buy Bruce Wayne, Alfred, Batgirl, Nightwing, a Police Officer, a Military Policeman, a Security Guard (all of these seven only if you haven't completed The Face-Off or Penguin's Lair) and Bat-Tank (if you completed all three episodes). You can also start with The Joker's Return on the villain side. After collecting the Red Brick, you can purchase Piece Detector.
