Through the Jundland Wastes is the twentieth level of LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga. It is the second level of A New Hope.

A NEW HOPE

Chapter 2

THROUGH THE JUNDLAND WASTES

Darth Vader searches in vain for the

secret Rebel plans on Princess Leia's

starship. The droid R2-D2 has

escaped with the Death Star

blueprints to the planet Tatooine

below.

But R2-D2, along his companion

C-3PO, has been captured by Jawas

trade in mechanical scrap.

Young Luke Skywalker, unaware of

the great destiny which lies before

him, is looking for droids to help with

work on his uncle's moisture farm.

As he approaches the Jawas'

sandcrawler, his life is about to

change forever....

Story

Later, a farm boy named Luke Skywalker buys R2-D2 and C-3PO from the Jawas because the other droids are breaking. That night, the Jawas stole R2 and 3PO, so Luke went looking for them, but was attacked by a Tusken Raider. Ben Kenobi arrived and scared him off. Luke and Ben traveled through the Jundland Wastes, fighting Sandpeople. They then arrived in the Sandcrawler and rescued R2 and 3PO. They traveled more through the Jundland Wastes as 3PO used moisture evaporators to dry the mud. When the were in front of Ben's hut, they defeated Sandtroopers and went inside. They then see Princess Leia's message. Ben then gave Luke Anakin's old lightsaber. When Luke tried out his new weapon, he accidentally cut 3PO's head off.

Walkthrough

First you start in an area with two animals. Destroy an object so that a slope goes down and keep going. Then use the Force to put a platform that allows you to climb through the sand and go to the next area.

Then build a block and push forward to get to two platforms and keep going until you reach the Sandcrawler, where you have to use the Force on a platform to make Luke climb up and activate a lever to make two platforms appear where you have to use the Force on two boxes for Ben to go up and he can use the Force on another platform to make another lever appear that when activated a platform will go up and lower it. Go up and use the two levers to open an entrace to Sandcrawler.

Inside the Sandcrawler, break some objects and use the Force on some gears to open a door and use an explosive item to free R2-D2 and switch to him to open the door that leads to an elevator.

In the next area, press the buttons vertically to make two levers appear, which when activated opens a door that will lead to the next area, where you have to move an object and use R2-D2 to get C-3PO out and open another door (remember to kill the Jawas so they don't stun the droids). Then destroy some small columns to open a door to the Sandcrawler's exit.

Exiting the Sandcrawler, use C-3PO to dry up quicksand and build a slope for him to climb up and dry up another quicksand. Then use the Force to create a bridge and drop an object and use the Force again to create another bridge for C-3PO to dry up another quicksand.

In the final area, build a Land Speeder and cross another quicksand and build a lever to spawn a bridge for the others to cross. Then stop on one button while the AIs on three others to spawn another lever that when activated will open the door to Obi-Wan's house. Simply enter the house to finish the level.

Collectables

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

• Minikit Canisters
  1. (F) Near the area where you get the red power brick, use the Force on a few small objects and use them as a platform then switch to an astromech droid to get to the platform that contains this minikit.
  2. (F) Near some black doors, build an object to make a red circle appear, then use an astromech droid to get to said platform and finally use a child to get to a small area that contains this minikit.
  3. (F) Near the second minikit, use a Dark Force character to destroy some black doors and keep using it to make two bombs to make holes that you simply have to jump over until you reach the minikit.
  4. (F) On top of the Sandcrawler, use a bounty hunter to destroy some silver objects and press one button while the AI ​​the other to reveal a hatch that will take you to a small room with this minikit.
  5. (S) In the area where you free R2-D2, carry the crate into a small room with this minikit to break the item so you can grab it.
  6. (F) Use a Dark Force character to reveal a hatch that entering it will take you to a room where the gates blocking you will open, then press one button while the AI ​​the other to open a gate and use the Force on a switch to appear a black object that to destroy it will make the lava waterfall disappear and use an astromech droid to cross the lava and thus obtain this minikit.
  7. (F) Use a Dark Force character to break a black object that will take you to an area and ride an animal to press a giant button and press the small one that will open the capsule that contains this minikit.
  8. (S) Pick up an item and use the Force to place a grappling hook that will reveal a circle that you'll need to switch to a grappling character to get to this minikit.
  9. (S) Use double jump to get to a platform that will lower and you can enter a small hole where this minikit is.
  10. (S) After building the Land Speeder, travel to a small island and build an item to make a circle appear so you can get the minikit.

• Fast Force Red Power Brick
  • (F) At the beginning of the level, use a bounty hunter to destroy a silver object and switch to an astromech droid to get through the shaft and then use the Force to make a tower of boxes and double jump to reach and move a cart that will destroy the rubble it contains this red power brick.

• Blue Minikit Canisters
  1. At the start of the level, go left to find this blue minikit on a slope. Jump towards it to get it.
  2. On the right side of the walkway at the start of the level, use a hover character to reach a ledge and then use a bounty hunter to destroy some silver objects. Upon entering a special zone, you will find this blue minikit behind three boxes.
  3. Continuing forward from the place with the previous blue minikit, use a character with the Force to lift a small platform and use it with a double jump character to reach the ledge above. There, use a character with the Force to open the Tusken Raider house on the left and find this blue minikit inside.
  4. After jumping across two platforms in the second area, build a grappling hook point and use a character with a blaster on it to reach a ledge with this blue minikit.
  5. Near the Sandcrawler in the second area, hop on a bantha with a double jump character and use it to reach this blue minikit in an alcove to the right side of the Sandcrawler.
  6. At the beginning of the third area, build a protocol panel and use a protocol droid to go to a special area. There you will find this blue minikit behind a table and chairs on the left side.
  7. At the beginning of the fourth area, use a character with Dark Force to destroy a black door and reach this blue minikit.
  8. At the beginning of the fifth area, use a character with Dark Force to destroy a black object on the left side and use a double jump character to reach the ledge above. There, use a double jump character to climb up the back ledges and reach this blue minikit.
  9. After using the second protocol panel in the fifth area, use a character with the Force to destroy a mound of plants and build a platform. Then, use the platform with a double jump character to reach a Double Score Zone and there, use a hover character to cross a gap and reach this blue minikit.
  10. In the final area, after crossing the quicksand with a Land Speeder, use it with a double jump character to reach the roof of Ben's house and reach this blue minikit.

Unlockables

The minikit model in this level is a Sandcrawler. After completing the level, you unlock Luke Skywalker (Tatooine) and Ben Kenobi. In Mos Eisley Cantina you can buy a Jawa and a Tusken Raider. You will also be able to continue to Mos Eisley Spaceport. After collecting the Red Power Brick, you can purchase Fast Force.

Trivia

• The area where the player locates C-3PO does not have Gonk Droids in between, unlike the second game.
• The astromech panel that looked more like a protocol droid panel in the second game was fixed.
• Unlike the second game, there is no screen freeze when the player enters Obi-Wan's house to end the level.
• In the opening cutscene for the level, the clouds look different from the second game, when Luke's house is shown two moisturizers are present which were not in the second game and the two moons (one red and one white) from the second game are missing, Luke's binoculars do not have details, unlike the second game, and the scenery when Obi-Wan appears is different from the second game.
