The Thief's Downfall is the nineteenth level from LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7. It is the first level of Deathly Hallows Pt2.

Story[]

In 1998, after burying Dobby, Harry Potter asks the goblin Griphook to help him, along with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, break into Bellatrix Lestrange's vault at Gringotts Bank, suspecting that there is a Horcrux there. Griphook accepts, in exchange for the Sword of Gryffindor. A horcrux, Helga Hufflepuff's cup, is found in Bellatrix's vault, but Griphook snatches the sword from them and abandons them. Trapped by security, they free the guardian dragon and flee from Gringotts on its back. Harry has a vision of Lord Voldemort at Gringotts, furious about the robbery. Harry also realizes that a Horcrux connected to Rowena Ravenclaw is hidden at Hogwarts.

Level Prelude[]

Diagon Alley[]

After completing the third episode, you will appear in Diagon Alley. There will be Death Eaters, but attacking them is optional. Follow Nearly Headless Nick to the Leaky Cauldron.

The Leaky Cauldron[]

Inside the Leaky Cauldron, go through the hallway and out the back door to start this level.

Level Walkthrough[]

Gringotts Bank Tracks[]

You start at Gringotts Bank Tracks. To follow the correct path, you will need to shoot five red signals (they will later turn green).

Lestrange Family Vault[]

In the next area, you will reach a square guarded by a dragon. Approach the cart on the right and use Wingardium Leviosa to turn it around. Under it, you will find some bricks - use them to build a pink pad. Switch to Hermione and use her magic bag to take out a Bull Car. However, you will need to activate its mechanics. To obtain the key, necessary to activate the Bull Car, you must approach the dragon. Next to the post is a hammer. Pick it up with Wingardium Leviosa and hit the sphere hanging from the pole. The desired key will fall out. Return to the Bull Car, activate it, and steer it towards the dragon. This way you can reach the treasure deposits located at the end on the right.

Lestrange Vault[]

As soon as you enter the next area, you will need to grab a cup located in the middle. Head to the fire on the left and destroy it. Use the Aguamenti spell to extinguish the small flames left after the bonfire. Go up to the pink pad and use Hermione's bag. She will take a bird out of the bag with one feather left. Use Wingardium Leviosa on the latter to make the snake head laugh. This will allow you to obtain bricks - use them to assemble a mechanism. Then approach the two swords hanging on the right, use Wingardium Leviosa to remove them from the wall, and activate the mechanism to open the chest. You will be able to build a new cabinet - use Harry to solve a puzzle. You have to build another mechanism with more bricks. Switch to Griphook and use his key to lower the lamp with the light. Use Ron's Deluminator to pick up the lamp and transfer it to a similar lamp on the right side of the room. You'll get rid of Devil's Snare and then you can turn the crank with Griphook. This will lift the lit lamp and scare away other vines. Switch to Hermione and go up - there you will find a pink pad. Use her bag on it to take out the Sword of Gryffindor and return to the previous area.

Lestrange Family Vault (Again)[]

Returning to the previous area, your main objective is to free the dragon. Approach the first chain, use Aguamenti to extinguish the flames and find a pink pad. Use Hermione's bag on it to get a pickaxe - use Wingardium Leviosa on it to destroy two rocks blocking your path to the bolts. After destroying the stones, remove the screws using the Wingardium Leviosa spell. Destroy the pink values ​​with Wingardium Leviosa to get rid of another chain. Switch to Griphook and approach the mechanism on the right. Move the lamp down and collect the light using Ron's Deluminator. Once again, with the help of Griphook, you need to approach a similar mechanism on the left. Move the lamp down and transfer some light into it using Ron's Deluminator. Devil's Snare are no longer a problem. Use the Wingardium Leviosa spell to remove the screws.

You will get on the dragon. You have to shoot each of the five Goblins who have stolen the Sword of Gryffindor. Switch to Hermione and target the Goblin that appears on the upper balconies. When your aim can't hit one, switch to Harry and move the dragon to another location. The level will end when you kill the five Goblins that appear on the HUD above.

  • House Crests
    • Gryffindor
      • (S) There are four silver stones at the dragon's place. One on the left side and three on the right side. Use Reducto to destroy them and get this crest.
    • Slytherin
      • (F) There is a black object to the left of the vault - use Dark Magic on it. This will give you this crest.
    • Hufflepuff
      • (F) When you return to the dragon place, go all the way to the left. Switch to a super strength character and pull the orange handle. Build a Spectrespecs box with the revealed bricks. Put on the Spectrespecs and look for invisible bricks (they're on the right). Build a barbecue and use Wingardium Leviosa to fry the chicken on it - this crest will appear.
    • Ravenclaw
      • (F) Use a character with super strength to pull an orange handle to the left of the vault; pieces from a Spectrespecs box will come out of the open drawer. Use them to build a Spectrespecs box. Put on the Spectrespecs and build a big head with invisible bricks. Wait until its dance is over to grab this crest.
  • Student in Peril
    • (F) This student is kept inside the cage located on the left side of the vault. Use a character with Dark Magic to destroy the cage.
  • Tokens
    • Griphook
      • (F) The lever you are looking for is in the right section of the room with the dragon. Use Dark Magic on it. A cart will come. Use Wingardium Leviosa to take out a Weasley box and a colored wall from the cart. Use a Weasley to take the Sticky Trainers out of the Weasley box and climb the colored wall to reach this character token.
    • Bogrod
      • (F) Go right in the vault - there is a chest that can be opened with Dark Magic. Use Dark Magic to take out a large scroll and unfold it to receive this character token.
    • Hermione (Gringotts)
      • (F) In the vault, use Dark Magic to open the large hand on the left. A head will appear - place it next to other similar heads in the left corner. After a short dance, you will get this character token.

Unlockables[]

Griphook, Bogrod, and Hermione (Gringotts) can be purchased from Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions in Diagon Alley after collecting their Character Tokens. You will also be able to continue to Back to School.
