The Speeder Chase is the thirteenth level in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. It is the third level of Return of the Jedi.

THE SPEEDER CHASE

The Rebel Alliance has learned

of the new Death Star, and

launches a daring plan to

destroy this evil weapon

before its construction can

be completed.

The Rebel fleet is readied for

an assault, and a small strike

unit lands on the nearby

forest moon of Endor.

Led by Luke Skywalker and

Han Solo, their mission is to

destroy the shield generator

which protects the deadly

Imperial space station...

Story

The rebels then head to Endor to destroy the Death Star's shield generator. There, Han falls down a hill and encounters a Scout Trooper. Meanwhile, Leia pursues the Scout Troopers on a speeder bike and destroys an ATST. However, she falls off the speeder bike and encounters an Ewok named Wicket.

Walkthrough

At the beginning of the level, you will see a cutscene where Han Solo meets a Scout Trooper. When the cutscene ends, you'll start somewhere in the forest of Endor on a speeder bike. Go quickly across the road while destroying objects and defeating enemy speeder bikes. At some point, you will encounter a barrier. Shoot the barrier generator to clear a path, but you have to do it quickly, as the barrier may respawn. Then, go to the right, where there will be another barrier. Shoot the barrier generator to open the way and continue. Turn a corner and follow the path until you find another barrier. Shoot the barrier generator to temporarily disable the barrier and move on to the next area.

In the next area, go up a slope and follow the path. There will be two paths, but regardless of which one you take, it will lead you to the same path. Follow the path, go over a log and there will be another barrier blocking you. Shoot the barrier generator to temporarily disable the barrier. There will be two other paths to choose from, although they will take you to the same place. But for now, keep going. You will reach another barrier. Shoot its generator to disable it and cross a stream to the final area of ​​the level.

In the final area, move forward and you will encounter an ATST. It has eight hearts, but you can remove them by simply standing near it and shooting it. Spend all its hearts to play a cutscene and finish the level.

Collectables

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

• Minikit Canisters
  1. (S) At the beginning of the level, follow the path from the right side and you will find this minikit on top of a log, before the first stream.
  2. (S) In the first stream of the level, go right to find this minikit.
  3. (S) Use a vehicle with Narrow Access to pass through five small checkpoints in the first two areas and reveal this minikit. Note: If you have version 1.0, the minikit may not appear due to a glitch.
     1. The first checkpoint is in the first area, before the first barrier.
     2. The second checkpoint is in the first area, between the first two barriers. It's in the air, so to get there, go up a hill, destroy a turret, and quickly go to this checkpoint.
     3. The third checkpoint is near the end of the first area. It's in the air, so climb a log to reach it.
     4. In the second area, when you first encounter two paths, go up the left side and at the end of the log you will find this checkpoint.
     5. A little after the previous checkpoint, go up the log on the right side and at the end of it, you will find this checkpoint.
  4. (S) Near the end of the first area, you'll find the second stream of the level. Go left and continue until you find this minikit at the end.
  5. (S) In the second stream of the level, go right and up the path on the right to find this minikit on top of a ring of Blue Studs.
  6. (F) At the beginning of the second area, you will see some rocks blocking a path to the right. Use a vehicle with torpedoes to destroy them and reach a special area. There, follow the path until you see more rocks at the end. Destroy them using a vehicle with torpedoes to reach a zone with this minikit. The barrier on the left leads to the final area, so head back the way you came to return to the second area and get the remaining minikits.
  7. (S) When you first encounter two paths in the second area, go to the left side to find this minikit on the right side of the log.
  8. (S) Before you go through the first barrier of the second area, you will find this minikit hidden behind the log.
  9. (S) In the third and final stream of the level, go left to find this minikit inside a cave behind a waterfall.
  10. (S) On the right side of the final area, use a vehicle with Narrow Access to climb up a log full of Blue Studs and reach the hallways of a Landing Platform. There, go right, destroy some stones, and quickly cross the gap to find this minikit.

Unlockables

After completing the level, you unlock a Rebel Speederbike. An ATST will be unlocked after obtaining all minikits in this level. In Mos Eisley Cantina you can buy an Imperial Speeder Bike. You will also be able to continue to Battle on Endor.

• In version 1.0, the ATST's hearts are invisible, but the ATST can still be defeated.
• In version 1.0, the final scene of this level is omitted, but it was added in version 1.1.
• In version 1.0, the third minikit may not appear, making it impossible to complete the game 100%.
• In version 1.0, the player can get a lot of blue studs at once which was changed in version 1.1.
• In version 1.0, there are Stormtroopers on foot, but they were removed in version 1.1.
