Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace is the first episode in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga.
Story[]
A Republic Cruiser lands in the Trade Federation Control Ship. Two Jedi, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn exit the ship and are greeted by TC-14. Meanwhile, the ship explodes and the Jedi feel it. They go on an MTT Cruiser to escape.
The Jedi land on Naboo and set out for Theed. There, Battle Droids hold Queen Amidala and her bodyguard, Captain Panaka, hostage. Qui-Gon rescues them while Obi-Wan has difficulty wielding his lightsaber. His lightsaber finally ignites as the Battle Droids are defeated. They separate, but meet again in the fourth area of the level. They find the Royal Starship and fly to Tatooine.
They are destined to go to Coruscant, but the hyperdrive breaks down. Qui-Gon, Padmé, R2-D2, and Jar Jar go to Watto's store to buy a new hyperdrive. However, Qui-Gon can't allow it, so a young man named Anakin Skywalker points out a poster for Boonta Eve Podrace. Anakin wins the race and gives Qui-Gon the prize money. Qui-Gon buys the hyperdrive and they fly away.
They arrive at Naboo (as Coruscant is not seen in this part of the game). There, Padmé and her troops on Theed fight Battle Droids, Droidekas, and free six pilots. Anakin enters a Naboo Starfighter with R2-D2. Anakin manages to destroy three Droidekas with the ship's blasters before flying into space.
The Jedi meets Darth Maul. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon decide to fight Maul while Padmé and Panaka take the long way around. During the battle, Qui-Gon is stabbed by Darth Maul. Obi-Wan cuts Maul in half as revenge for his fallen master. Meanwhile, in an off-screen scene, Anakin destroys the Control Ship. This causes the Battle Droids to go haywire. There is a big celebration with Boss Nass announcing peace.
