Gotham City News[]

Vicki Vale: There are confused reports tonight of disruption on the city's Metro lines. The Mayor's office has released a brief statement, citing "technical difficulties, including issues relating to the rampage of a giant robot". Shocked commuters have sighted both Batman and Superman, and all the Metro lines remain shut at this time. Meanwhile, citizens gather at City Hall for the Lex Luthor rally, full of questions for the Presidential candidate. But will he have the answers?

Lex Luthor as the President[]

Lex Luthor: Fellow citizens. Thank you for joining me today. Voting is a serious business. So before you choose your next President, I want you all to take a deep breath.
[Lex Luthor shows off the Joker Robot]
Lex Luthor: ...a really deep breath.
[The Joker turns a crank to release toxic gas to the citizens]
Crowd: [Everyone Coughs]
Lex Luthor: What do you think of your presidential candidate?
Crowd: We love him! We'll do anything he says!/We want him as President!/Let's go vote for him!
[Lex Luthor rides the Joker Robot]
Lex Luthor: Make sure they've all had enough, ten we'll move on to the next campaign stop.
[Batman and Superman arrive to stop the Joker Robot]

Battle on the City Hall Roof[]

[Upon destroying a flower, Batman and Superman jump to a ledge near the clock. The Joker Robot tries to kill the duo with a punch, but the duo dodges the punch and destroys the City Hall clock]
[The Joker Robot steps on a Police Car and then slips. The duo climbs onto the roof of City Hall, but the Joker Robot gets back up]
[A pilot tries to stop the Joker Robot with his Police Helicopter, but the robot hits the helicopter and the pilot goes flying]
Pilot: Aaaahhhhhh!
[Superman rescues the pilot]
Pilot: Ugh. Ah! [He lowers his head]
[The Police Helicopter is destroyed]
Pilot: Ah! [He falls into a trapdoor]

Robin's Return[]

[The Joker Robot loses his flower]
Batman: They're going to take off...
Superman: I've got some of my strength back...
Batman: The Kryptonite...
Superman: I'll slow them down, Batman. It'll be up to you to stop them...
[Superman rushes towards the place where the Kryptonite is and destroys part of the Joker Robot, but he weakens again]
The Joker and Lex Luthor: Ah!
Superman: Ugh. [He hits a wall] Ugh.
[The Joker Robot crashes into the roof of City Hall and Batman escapes]
Batman: Ah!
The Joker: This time, Lex, I'm going to pull Batman apart. Literally.
[The Joker Robot uses the Deconstructor to kill Batman]
Batman: Nye! Aaahh! Robin... Ah!
[Robin arrives in the Multi-Colored Batmobile]
Batman: Aaahh!
The Joker: [Laughs] Huh?
[Robin arrives just in time and saves Batman, while deflecting the Deconstructor's beam towards the robot]
Batman: Robin... Great job.
[Robin is surprised]
Batman: What?
Robin: I... think I'm going to cry.
Batman: Get going...
[Robin parks the Multi-Colored Batmobile in a safe area. Robin gets on his Motorbike, while Batman gets on the Multi-Colored Batmobile]
[The level ends]

Story[]

Meanwhile, Lex Luthor is giving a presidential speech and says for the citizens to take a deep breath, cue the Joker releasing some of his gas on them. The citizens (hypnotized by the gas) say that they love Lex Luthor and want him as their next president. The Joker takes Lex Luthor into the Joker Mech while Batman and Superman disapprove. When they eventually get to the top of the Joker Mech, they are pursued by LexBots. Police aircraft then attacks the Joker Mech but they are all quickly destroyed. The duo destroys the Joker's flower that releases the gas, and then Superman attempts to stop them, getting sickened by the Kryptonite.

The Joker then tries to destroy Batman himself with the Deconstructor, but Robin arrives just in time.

Walkthrough[]

Level Prelude[]

After finishing the previous level, you will appear at Metro Station on the Central Island. Superman will still be weakened by Kryptonite, so you'll have to hop into an abandoned vehicle if you want to get to the Joker Robot quickly. When you are in one of these vehicles, follow the ghost stud path until you reach the Joker Robot to start the level.

Level Walkthrough[]

You start at the entrance to City Hall. Use Superman's laser or Batman's Batarang to destroy three speakers on the left. Use the bricks to build a panel with the Power Suit and put it on as Batman. After that, use Superman's laser to blow a hole in the gold plaque in the center of the place and destroy the silver pipes with Batman's explosive rockets. Freeze the water with Superman and go up. Go right and use Superman's laser on the gold grates to destroy them. When the gold grates pieces fall, build a panel with the Electricity Suit, put it on as Batman and reach the platform above the screen where you must use the suit to absorb electricity from an electrical outlet. This will cut the power to the ladder and allow Superman to climb. Switch to Superman and pull an orange handle near the mast. When the mast falls, climb up and use Batman's grappling hook on the orange ring to the left. You will reveal a staircase. Use it to climb onto Joker Robot's right arm and use both heroes to stand on the two buttons on the arm. After that, use Superman's laser to destroy the golden flower on the left side of the Joker Robot's chest and move on to the next area.

In the next area, defeat enemies and use the bricks on the right to repair the Police Helicopter. Use Batman's grappling hook on the orange ring on the helicopter, then press the alternate attack button to enter. Fly exactly in front of the robot and focus the light on its face until the bar above runs out. When the bar runs out, the Joker Robot will hit the helicopter until it is destroyed. Move left and use Superman's laser to destroy a golden plate. Enter the building with Batman and then move to the right. Put on the Bat Suit, glide to the right and destroy glass bricks. With the remains of the helicopter, build a reflector and an electrical outlet. Put on the Electricity Suit again as Batman, build stairs and activate the searchlight by transferring electricity to the electrical outlet. Get on the reflector and direct the light flow towards the robot's face until the bar above runs out. The Joker Robot will destroy the searchlight, but now it will stand in front of City Hall and you can pull an orange handle on its flower. Go to the orange handle and pull it with Superman to finish the level.

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

  • Minikit Canisters
    1. (F) At the beginning of the level, put on the Sensor Suit as Batman and move to the bottom left corner. Activate invisibility and go through the door below the chamber to reach this minikit. (The Sensor Suit is absent in Story Mode.)
    2. (F) Use a sonar character to destroy three glass walls and get this minikit:
      1. The first two ones are on the left side of the place, near a panel with the Bat Suit that only appears in Free Play.
      2. The third one is on the right side of the room, behind the Joker Robot's feet.
    3. (F) In the lower right corner, use Lex Luthor's Deconstruct to deconstruct the back of a News Reporter Van and build two green boosters on the van with Green Lantern. The News Reporter Van will fly away and give you this minikit.
    4. (S) Located behind the feet of a statue after climbing the frozen waterfall.
    5. (F) Use a flying character to reach the clock above and then use a magnet character to rotate the clock hands. Lightning will destroy the clock and this minikit will appear.
    6. (F) Below the clock of the previous minikit, use Lex's Deconstructor to deconstruct a black pillar and reveal this minikit.
    7. (S) Destroy five Lex Luthor election posters located in the first area to obtain this minikit:
      1. The first one is near the mast on the right side.
      2. The second one is in the central part of the starting point.
      3. The third one is in a statue on the left side. You can get there by using a magnet character to go down a blue ladder, but this is optional, as you can throw a Batarang or a laser at the election poster.
      4. The fourth one is on the starting floor near a silver object.
      5. The fifth one is in the same place near the panel with the Electricity Suit.
    8. (F) On the roof of City Hall, use Robin in the Hazard Suit or Aquaman to clear three chemical marks and obtain this minikit:
      1. The first one is in the lower right corner.
      2. The second one is a little further down to the left.
      3. The third one is near a silver water tower.
    9. (F) On the roof of City Hall, use Batman with the Power Suit or the Penguin to destroy a silver water tower under the platform to the left and reveal this minikit.
    10. (F) On the roof of City Hall, go left, put on the Acrobat Suit as Robin, transform into a trackball and start running along the platform forward. You will see that the antenna you turned will be electrocuted until it is destroyed, revealing this minikit.
  • Civilian in Peril
    • (F) On the roof of City Hall, go up to the roof on the left side. You will see that a citizen will be hanging from a blue mast. Use a magnet character to pull the mast and rescue this citizen.

Unlockables[]

The minikit model in this level is a Mister Freeze's Iceberg. In Gotham City you will be able to continue to Core Instability.
