LEGO Marvel Super Heroes The LEGO Movie Videogame LEGO The Hobbit

The LEGO Movie Videogame is a game released on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita, and Microsoft Windows. Developed by TT Fusion and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the game is based on The LEGO Movie and released in February 2014.

Development[]

In 2013, a video game tie-in for The LEGO Movie was announced.

Features[]

The LEGO Movie Videogame features fifteen story levels (and one prologue level) based on the film. The environments in the game are built completely out of LEGO pieces, and characters move as real-life LEGO minifigures do. Unlike most previous installments in the series, not all characters can build; the only characters that can build are Master Builders. Construction workers, however, can find instruction pages and use them to build objects. Minikits in the game are replaced with Golden Instruction Manuals which can be used to build vehicles in The Bonus Room. The game features five small open worlds: Bricksburg, The Old West, Cloud Cuckoo Land, Octan Tower, and The Bonus Room.

Trivia[]

  • It is the first game to have entirely LEGO environments.
  • This is the last LEGO game on console/PC to allow the player to re-watch the cutscenes at any time.
  • This is the first LEGO video game to only be available at non-company owned Blockbuster stores.
  • This is one of two LEGO games from TT on console/PC to have only helpful extras and no aesthetic ones, the other being LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars.
  • Starting with this game, the hearts for a character in the UI are spaced out more which beforehand, was only the case with LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy and LEGO City Undercover.
