The Joker's Return is the third and final villain episode in LEGO Batman: The Videogame.

Story[]

While Joker's Group is somewhere playing cards, Killer Moth tries to reach for a light, but is scared off by the Scarecrow. The Joker watches on his television as Harley Quinn makes two Police Marksmen laugh with laughing gas. When the Joker sees his girlfriend making the guards laugh, he comes up with a great plan. The plan is to blow up Gotham Cathedral to spread his laughing gas throughout the city. Killer Moth tries to reach for the light again, but Scarecrow beats him. Harley Quinn comes with an empty trash can. The Joker goes to ACE Chemicals to look for gas.

A Joker Goon disguised as a policeman goes to the police station, there he knocks on Commissioner Gordon's door to bring him a gift. Gordon and his two Police Officers draw their guns as they realize that the gift was a box from the Joker, but they realize that the goon brought them a letter that the Joker and Harley Quinn are at Haly's Circus. The goon then leaves the police station and calls the Joker on the phone that Gordon is already arriving. The Joker and Harley Quinn go looking for him. The villains eventually find Commissioner Gordon with reinforcements. They fight him. Gordon is beaten up and hides in a car, but realizes it was a trap set for him by the Joker. Harley Quinn arrives in her hammer truck and the Joker ties the cage with a rope. The villains take him away.

After the Mad Hatter is taken to prison and Harley Quinn is put in a Police Van, the Joker tries to get to the cathedral with the Scarecrow. They scare a policeman while they are in their air vehicles. The cops come to stop them. The villains destroy a Police Battle Helicopter gunship and then mess with two people as a couple. When the man proposes to his girlfriend, she notices the Scarecrow and the Joker coming. The woman hides under the table to avoid being caught. The Scarecrow grabs the man and leaves him on the highest point of a building.

The woman grabs a pair of binoculars to see where the man is, but sees that the villains' air vehicles were destroyed thanks to Batman and Robin with the help of their air vehicles. The Joker and the Scarecrow fall unharmed into the Gotham Art Gallery thanks to some balloons. They manage to escape and reach the cathedral. Finally, they make it to the exit, but that's when a policeman uses a crane to catch the Scarecrow. The Joker laughs at his grabbed partner, but another cop appears in front of him. He then uses his laughing gas to make the guard laugh, allowing him to escape. The Police Officers take the Scarecrow to Arkham Asylum.

After the Scarecrow is taken to prison, the Joker attempts to reach Gotham Cathedral alone. He then sees Killer Moth fly around a streetlight. The Joker uses his electricity to turn off the street light. Killer Moth is forced to help the Joker in his attempt to reach the cathedral. They build a box to spawn a giant mecha and control it. Commissioner Gordon and his army of policemen arrive to stop the robot, but the villains manage to defeat the army and free Harley Quinn. It is then that Batman arrives in his Batwing. The Joker and Harley Quinn escape while Killer Moth is attracted by a light from the Batwing.

After Killer Moth is taken to prison, the Joker and his girlfriend Harley Quinn finally arrive at Gotham Cathedral. They climb it to the highest point. There they build a machine. The two villains pair up, but the Joker pulls a lever to start the machine. He then stands on a platform. His girlfriend Harley Quinn turns a wheel to raise the platform. The Joker pulls another lever (but the scene fades out before he pulls it). Batman and Robin arrive to stop them.
