The Joker's Last Laugh is the third and final villain episode in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Batman: The Videogame.
Story[]
In his secret office in Amusement Mile, the Joker teaches his group a test in which he uses laughing gas on one of his goons and then knocks him unconscious. He then shows his magnificent plan to his group. Their plan is to obtain toxic gases from Ace Chemicals and then blow up Gotham Cathedral. This will cause toxic gases to be created all over Gotham City, making everyone laugh.
To begin his plan, the Joker recruits the Mad Hatter and heads to Ace Chemicals. There, he tells the Mad Hatter that what he is looking for is a barrel of gas. The villain duo cross the rooftops in order to enter the factory. They spend time infiltrating the factory until they reach the engine room. They manage to activate the machine and fill the barrels with toxic waste. The Joker calls on several of his goons to transport the barrels to Gotham Cathedral. Meanwhile, Harley Quinn arrives in her Hammer Truck and takes the Joker to Amusement Mile, leaving the Mad Hatter behind.
After the Mad Hatter is taken to Arkham Asylum, the Joker and Harley Quinn return to Amusement Mile. There, they fight off several police officers and repair a roller coaster car. When they get into the car, Harley Quinn notices Batman and Robin arriving, so she asks the Joker to go faster.
After Batman and Robin defeat the Joker and Harley Quinn in Amusement Mile, Scarecrow uses his biplane to help the Joker escape. The Joker realizes that Batman and Robin are using their aerial vehicles to chase them, so he asks Scarecrow to fly faster. Batman eventually uses a missile to shoot at the back of the biplane, causing it to begin to fall.
The biplane ends up crashing into the rooftops of the Art Gallery. The Joker and Scarecrow survive the crash and cross the rooftops to enter the Art Gallery. Inside the Art Gallery, the villains fight off several police officers and escape through the interior parking lot. Harley Quinn arrives in her hammer truck and takes the Joker to Gotham Cathedral, leaving Scarecrow behind as well.
After Scarecrow is taken to Arkham Asylum, the villain duo arrive at Gotham Cathedral. There, they encounter a Joker Goon, who tells them that the barrels of toxic waste have almost finished being transported. Ready to begin the Joker's plan, the duo enter the cathedral and turn on two Joker devices. They then climb to the top of the cathedral, where two goons carry two boxes needed to activate the booby trapped. They end up activating the booby trapped, which will explode in 10 minutes. A few minutes later, Batman and Robin arrive to stop the villains.
