The Horcrux and the Hand is the twelfth level from LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7. It is the sixth and final level of Half-Blood Prince.
Story[]
Seeing it in the Penseive, Dumbledore and Harry discover that Voldemort was seeking information about Horcruxes, magical objects that contain pieces of a wizard's soul for immortality. Dumbledore surmises that Voldemort divided his soul into six Horcruxes, two of which have been destroyed: Tom Riddle's diary and Marvolo Gaunt's ring. They travel to a cave where Harry helps Dumbledore drink a potion that hides another Horcrux, the Slytherin locket. A weakened Dumbledore defends them from Inferi by creating a ring of fire and takes them back to Hogwarts, where Bellatrix, Greyback and other Death Eaters entered through the Vanishing Cabinet in the Room of Requirement that Draco has secretly connected to one in Knockturn Alley. While Harry hides, Draco appears and disarms the headmaster, revealing that Voldemort chose him to kill Dumbledore. Draco hesitates; Snape, however, arrives and kills Dumbledore. As the Death Eaters escape, Snape reveals to Harry that he is the Half-Blood Prince.
As the Hogwarts students and staff mourn Dumbledore's death, Harry tells Ron and Hermione that the locket is fake and contains a message from "R.A.B.", who stole the real Horcrux with the intention of destroying it. Harry, Ron, and Hermione agree to forgo their final year at Hogwarts to search for the remaining Horcruxes.

After finishing the previous level, you will appear in Hagrid's Hut. Follow Nearly Headless Nick to Professor Dumbledore's office.
The Grand Staircase[]
When there are no more steps, use Wingardium Leviosa to pull two handles and continue following Nick. Go to Dumbledore's Office to start this level.
Level Walkthrough[]
Entrance to a cave[]
You start at the entrance to a cave. Switch to Dumbledore and use a portal next to it (Harry can't use it right now). On the other hand, use the Wingardium Leviosa spell to lift a stone and allow Harry to advance. Approach a red wall and use the Diffindo spell to cut it. Build a torch with the obtained bricks, which can be lit from the one hanging from the rock. Burn the plants that block your path (use the torch). Go up and use the Reducto spell to destroy the silver stones. Scare Devil's Snare using the Lumos Solem spell. Switch to Harry and reach the snake signs. Then solve the puzzle. A staircase will appear. Go down the stairs where you will have to make a unique pattern by placing the plates in the correct places. Use the Wingardium Leviosa spell to do so. Go through the door that just opened to go to the next area.
The Cave[]
In the next area, go right until you see a bottomless pit. Use Wingardium Leviosa on a switch to reveal a bridge and cross the pit. Go all the way until you see a small pond. Use Wingardium Leviosa to lift the plants and you will discover another cabinet marked with a snake. This is another puzzle that Harry must solve. You will receive a broom - use it to clean the colored buttons. When they are clean, stand on the ones that were previously lit in the same order. The first round is red; the second one is yellow and green; the third one is blue, red and yellow and the fourth and last one is green, yellow, red and blue. A boat will appear. Press the alternate attack button to enter the boat and move on to the next area.
Emerald Potion[]
In the next area, at the top, you can find two buttons. Stand on one of them and wait for the second character to do the same. The rocks at the bottom right will be removed. Go there and use Wingardium Leviosa to collect a part of the mechanism. Two more buttons will be activated. Do the same as before, this time the rocks on the left side will be removed. Use Wingardium Leviosa to bring the item you found there and combine it with the first one. At this point, you must use Harry to scare away the Inferi that are coming to attack you (preferably by casting a Reducto spell), while Dumbledore has to drink more water. You need to quickly switch between characters. After drinking five servings of water, you will be transported to the final area of the level.
Hagrid's Hut (During the attack)[]
In the final area of the level, chase after Snape and Bellatrix. However, Death Eaters will bother you all the time. Go down, use Aguamenti to put out the flames separating you and Snape, grab the water cleaner nozzle, and go back up. After reaching large flames, install the nozzle on the tank and fill it with water using the Aguamenti spell, then use a washer and extinguish the flames using the Wingardium Leviosa spell. You must perform this operation three times to advance further. Go to Hagrid's hut and take part in a duel against Snape. Note that the color of Snape's side will change color when you hit him. If it is pink, use Wingardium Leviosa; If it is red, use Diffindo; If it is blue, use Aguamenti; If it is yellow, use Focus; If it is orange, use Reducto. If he casts a spell on you, press the action button to create a shield that will protect you from the attack by deflecting it. Cast the same spell that he casts his and press the button that appears on the screen (either the jump button or the attack button) repeatedly without stopping so that yours hits Snape and damages him. Do this four times to finish the level.

- (S) You get this crest for taking five crystals from the rocks with Wingardium Leviosa.
- The first one is located near the start of the second area.
- The second one is located a little after passing the bridge.
- The third one is found a little after going down the edge of the previous crystal.
- The fourth one is located a little to the right of the previous crystal.
- The fifth one is located to the left of the snake cabinet.
- (S) You get this crest for taking five crystals from the rocks with Wingardium Leviosa.
- Slytherin
- (F) In the second area, use a super strength character to destroy a snake statue - you will get this crest.
- Hufflepuff
- (F) In the final area of the level, switch to Ron. Use the Deluminator to grab the flashlight light on the ground. Take it a little further into the forest. After a Devil's Snare flashes in the light, use Wingardium Leviosa on the lid of a barrel to reveal this crest.
- Ravenclaw
- (F) Switch to Hermione and use her bag on the pink pad found on the island in the first area. Feed the fish and a crest will resurface.
- Gryffindor

- (S) Before facing Professor Snape, take a few steps towards Hagrid's garden fence. You will see a student surrounded by a Death Eater. Defeat it to save the student.
- Tokens

- (F) Use a character with Dark Magic to destroy the black rock on the wall to the right of the passage that leads deep into the mountain. You will get this character token.
- Tom Riddle (Orphanage)
- (F) To obtain this character token, use a Dark Magic character to destroy three black rocks on the island in the middle of the reservoir.
- The first one is located where the four buttons are.
- The second one is located where the first part of the mechanism is.
- The third one is located where the second part of the mechanism is.
- (F) To obtain this character token, use a Dark Magic character to destroy three black rocks on the island in the middle of the reservoir.
- Hagrid (Wedding)
- (F) To get this character token, use a super strength character to pull the orange handle at the end of the level. You will find it next to Hagrid's hut.
