The Great Pit of Carkoon is the fourteenth level in the PlayStation Portable version of LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. It is the second level of Return of the Jedi.

Work continues on the new Death

Star, and the future of the galaxy

appears increasingly bleak. On

Tatooine, Luke Skywalker is in the

grip of Jabba the Hutt, along with

Han Solo, Chewbacca and Princess

Leia.

Jabba takes his prisoners across the

Tatooine dunes to the Great Pit of

Carkoon, where he plans to feed

them to the fearsome Sarlacc beast.

But, even with back-up from Boba

Fett, Jabba has severely

underestimated the powers of a

Jedi....

Story

Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, Princess Leia, Jabba the Hutt and his guardians were taken to The Great Pit of Carkoon where Jabba plans to feed Luke to a Sarlacc. Luke goofed around on the plank on the Skiff while R2 threw Luke his lightsaber, but the lightsaber was caught by a Skiff Guard. Luke asked the guard for his lightsaber and pushed him off. Luke, Lando, Han, and Chewie fought through the skiffs until they met Boba Fett. They defeated him, causing his jetpack to malfunction. He then landed in the Sarlacc, which burped when it swallowed him. They got in the Sail Barge where they met up with C-3PO and R2-D2. They activated a dance floor and got to the deck of the ship. Leia strangled Jabba to death and joined Luke and the gang. They blew up the sail barge and escaped.

Walkthrough

First, build a lever and activate two to create a bridge and use the Force to build two levers and activate them to create another bridge. Then defeat Boba Fett to continue and use the Force to create a platform and activate three levers. One located at the end of the flaps, another one at the fourth big flap and the last one in a room that to get there you need to use the Force on the last flap. Push a box and build a hook point to get there. To do this you will create three platforms to cross and use the Force on a left object that you will see that it is incorrect and on the right it will go the correct way. First the red is set right, second the yellow needs to be Force set and lastly the blue needs to be set by pushing a mechanism. Once this will open the door to the next area.

In the next area, destroy some objects to build a weapon. Then build a protocol panel, then use the Force to create an item and then destroy an item and use the Force to put lights on top and switch to C-3PO to hack the panel to raise and lower the platform that leads to the next area.

In the next area, build a disco to open the door and continue to the next area.

In the next area, push two blocks to a glass to destroy it and use 3PO to destroy another glass. Then build a ladder to go to the final area of ​​the level.

In the final area, use R2-D2 to ammo the cannon. Then jump on it and destroy the targets to finish the level.

Collectables

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

• Minikit Canisters
  1. (S) Build four turrets in the first area of ​​the level and the minikit will appear in the air. To reach it, use the Force to build a ladder to reach it. Here is the location of the turrets:
     1. On the first speeder, destroying the left crate and building with the Force.
     2. On the first speeder, destroying the right box.
     3. On the second speeder, destroying the left crate.
     4. On the second speeder, destroying the right box and building with the Force.
  2. (S) On the second speeder, go to the bridge and jump onto it or use an astromech droid to get to it.
  3. (F) Use a character with Dark Force to create a platform and enter a double score zone and use a character with a hook to get to the top and activate two levers and build this minikit to get it.
  4. (F) In the same area as the previous minikit, continue to the right and destroy the second large flap to reveal an astromech panel, the third for a protocol and the fifth for an astromech. Then use a hook character and a bounty hunter to destroy a metal wall and get this minikit.
  5. (F) Near the end of the area, destroy a box to build a hook point and use a hook character to get to the top and switch to a Dark Force character to activate a black lever and have the AI ​​partner activate the other two to get this minikit.
  6. (F) Use a child to enter a secret room and activate the two levers to make this minikit appear.
  7. (S) Near the end of the club, destroy one of the windows on the left side and build this minikit to get it.
  8. (F) Use a character with Dark Force to destroy a crate to build a grapple point, then switch to an astromech droid and switch back to a grappling character to get this minikit.
  9. (S) Destroy only one of the targets (not the second as that ends the level) and you can enter the tunnel below that contains the minikit.
  10. (F) Use a kid to get to a small room that contains the minikit.

• Bounty Hunter Rockets Red Power Brick
  • (F) Destroy a crate to build a grapple point, then use a grappling character to climb up and switch to an astromech droid to get to this red power brick.

• Blue Minikit Canisters
  1. In the Desert Skiff where you face Boba Fett, go to the far right to find this blue minikit.
  2. After reaching the left side of the Sail Barge after using a character with the Force to build a platform, go behind the first gap you cross to find this blue minikit behind a large flap.
  3. As you go to the right side of the Sail Barge after using a character with Dark Force to build another platform, go to the front to find this blue minikit.
  4. On the right side of the Sail Barge, use a character with the Force to lift the third-to-last large flap and pull a lever to reveal a platform beneath this blue minikit. Use a hover character to reach it and grab this blue minikit.
  5. In the second area, after destroying the silver barriers, go to the upper right corner to find this blue minikit.
  6. In the third area, use a bounty hunter to destroy a silver wall and enter a room with this blue minikit in the middle.
  7. In the third area, near the box you need to push down to install a disco, go behind a wall to find this blue minikit.
  8. At the beginning of the fourth area, go to the far left to find this blue minikit.
  9. In the fourth area, go to the left side of the northern target to find this blue minikit.
  10. Near the end of the fourth area, go to the left side of the fences in the south to find this blue minikit.

Unlockables

The minikit model in this level is a Sail Barge. After completing the level, you unlock Lando (Palace Guard) and Princess Leia (Slave). In Mos Eisley Cantina you can buy a Skiff Guard, Boba Fett and 4-LOM. You will also be able to continue to Speeder Showdown. After collecting the Red Power Brick, you can purchase Bounty Hunter Rockets. After completing Challenge Mode, you unlock Jango Fett.
