The Fairground is the twelfth hero level in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Batman: The Videogame. It is the second hero level of The Joker's Last Laugh.

Story

Arriving at Amusement Mile, the duo find Harley Quinn's Hammer Truck. Batman believes that the Joker and Harley Quinn are nearby. The duo spend time infiltrating Amusement Mile, until they find Harley Quinn, who escapes. The duo chase her through Amusement Mile to a roller coaster, where she gets into a car with the Joker. The duo takes out the Joker first and then Harley Quinn. In an attempt to run over both heroes, the Joker accidentally runs over Harley Quinn, while the heroes dodge the car. However, the Joker escapes in Scarecrow's Biplane, while Harley Quinn flees without the duo noticing.

Walkthrough

You start at the entrance to Amusement Mile. Two Joker Goons will jump from the roof above and crush two police officers. Defeat the goons and destroy a dumpster to the right of the right door to build a grapple point. Use Batman on it to reach the roof where the goons were and build a tightrope to the left. This tightrope will allow Robin to reach the roof with Batman. Enter a hatch on the right with Robin and step on a button to open the teeth in the middle. Have both characters pull two levers to open the two doors below, where two goons will come out. Return to the lower floor, defeat the goons and go through one of the two newly opened doors to reach the next area.

In the next area, defeat two goons and go right. Defeat two more goons and you will see a path you will have to take. Go back left and destroy two shelves to build a button. Step on it to build a suit swapper and use it with Robin to put on the Magno Suit. With the Magno Suit, scale a metal wall and push a box to knock it down and build a grapple point for Batman. Use Batman on another suit swapper to put on the Glide Suit. Using the Glide Suit, glide to the right to cross two gaps and reach the roof of the right shop. On the roof of that shop, step on a button to activate two levers. Have both characters pull them to call a swan boat, where a Joker Bodyguard comes. Have both characters step on two buttons on the swan boat to reach the next area.

In the next area, jump to the ledge in the foreground and go right, where you will be attacked by two Joker Goons. Defeat them, build a hatch and enter it with Robin. You will see Harley Quinn running away from you. Build a lever and pull it to lift a plate. Then, go back to the low ledge, build a grapple point and use it with Batman to lower the plate and use it as a ramp to reach the high ledge. Pull another lever to the right to build another grapple point and use it with Batman to reach the high platform on the right. Glide to the ledge ahead and pull another lever to build a ladder for Robin. Enter another hatch with Robin and pull another lever to reveal a grapple point in the center. Use that grapple point with Batman to reach the high center platform and use the Batarang to hit two glowing red targets and turn them green. This will open the central mouth, where two goons will emerge. Defeat them and head down the path where Harley fled to reach the next area.

In the next area, you'll see Harley Quinn pull a lever to activate the lasers. Use Batman on a suit swapper on the left to put on the Demolition Suit. Place a detonator near a red box and detonate it to destroy the box and build a lever. Pull it to deactivate the first lasers. You will see a Joker Goon stepping on a tile with a clown logo, temporarily activating the laser trap. Defeat another Joker Goon and only step on the tiles with stars to avoid activating the laser trap. Then, use Robin on a pole point to reach the platform above the tiles and pull another lever to deactivate the next lasers. Cross the next laser trap by stepping only on the tiles with stars and defeat another Joker Goon. Build a grapple point and use it with Batman to reach the high ledge. Step on a button to build a hatch for Robin. Have both characters pull two levers to lower the ladder on the left. You'll see Harley Quinn escaping to the next door. Climb the ladder and cross the next traps, being careful not to touch a tile with a clown logo. This time it might be a little difficult, as there are crushers. When you reach the left side, pull a lever to disable the crushers and build another hatch. Enter it with Robin and use another pole point to swing to the roof of the crusher on the left. Press a wall button to open the bars protecting the red door where Harley escaped. Use Batman to destroy the red door and reach the final area.

In the final area, you'll face the Joker and Harley Quinn in a boss fight. They will be in a roller coaster car and will send goons to attack you. While fighting the goons, be sure to watch the lights on either side. When you see the lights on one of the tracks flashing, jump to the other track to avoid running into the Joker and Harley Quinn's roller coaster car. Avoid the car at least four times and the Joker will stand in the track in front of you shooting gas at you. Avoid the fumes and when you see one of the fuse boxes getting electrocuted, use Batman's Batarang or Robin's Birdarang to hit the glowing red target below it. This will explode the first panel, damaging the Joker. Dodge the gases the Joker throws at you again and use the Batarang or Birdarang to hit the glowing red target below the second fuse box, taking another heart from the Joker. By removing two hearts from the Joker, he will get on the roller coaster car with Harley Quinn again. Defeat the goons and watch the lights to avoid being run over by the roller coaster car. This time, the car will only pass twice. When the Joker gets off the cart, repeat the same process you did with the first two hearts to remove his last two hearts. When you remove all four hearts from the Joker, he will return to the car and send Harley Quinn to attack you. Make sure to watch the lights to see which track the car will go on and hit Harley a few times to take away her six hearts and finish the level.

Collectables

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

• Minikit Canisters
  1. (F) Find three Riddler tokens throughout the level to get this minikit:
     1. At the start of the level, use a character with super strength to pull a pair of golden handles and move a Police Car to reveal this Riddler token.
     2. On the right side of the second area, use a character with super strength to pull a box. Then, get on that box and use a high-jumper character to reach the high ledge. On that ledge, have both characters step on two buttons to reveal a small red box below. Destroy it with an explosive character to reveal this Riddler token.
     3. On the left crusher roof of the fourth area, use a glide character to reach the right crusher roof and find this Riddler token.
  2. (F) On the roof of the first area, use an explosive character to destroy a small red box and build a grapple point. Use a character with grappling hook on it to reach the left ledge and use a high-jumper character to reach the ledge with this minikit.
  3. (S) On the right side of the second area, use a character that can attack from a distance (such as a character with boomerang) to destroy three balls in a minigame and reveal this minikit.
  4. (F) In the third area, jump to the ledge in the background and use a character with super strength to pull a box and reveal a pole point. Use an acrobatic character to reach the platform with this minikit on the left.
  5. (F) On the ledge on the left side of the third area, use an explosive character to destroy a small red box and build a tightrope. Walk across it with a character who can walk on tightropes to reach the platform with this minikit.

• Gotham City Joker Card
  • (F) On the high right ledge of the third area, use a character with super strength to pull a pair of golden handles and destroy a wall, allowing you to build a pole point. Use an acrobatic character on it to reach the platform with this Joker Card.

• Hush
  • While playing this level in Villain Hunt mode, you will find this character on the central high platform of the third area.

Unlockables

After completing the level, you unlock a Joker Bodyguard. In the Batcave you can buy a Goon. You will also be able to continue to Batwing Chase. After finding Hush in Villain Hunt mode, you can purchase him in the Batcave.
