The Face-Off is the fifth hero level of LEGO Batman: The Videogame. It is the fifth and final hero level of The Riddler's Revenge.

Opening Biography[]

Edward Nigma, AKA The Riddler, is obsessed

with riddles, puzzles and word games. He

delights in leaving clues for Batman at the

scene of his crimes, which regularly leads to

his downfall. Using specially-developed

technology incorporated into his cane, he

can take control of people's minds.

Story[]

In the Batcave, Robin opens all the boxes and builds the Eiffel Tower, but Batman destroys it, implying that it wasn't the right place. He then builds another place that Robin doesn't know what it is, but Alfred types into the Batcomputer and shows the Gold Reserve, hinting that this was the right place. The heroes then head there and meet up with The Riddler and Two-Face. Two-Face then confronts them and destroys a lid to release acid, but Batman and Robin cross it thanks to the help of a ship and he escapes. While the Riddler and Two-Face thought they had done their job, Batman and Robin find them and after a huge fight, they defeat them and gold falls on them. Robin celebrates victory, but Batman tells him to stop. The Riddler and Two-Face are then taken to Arkham Asylum.

With the Riddler's Group imprisoned, Clayface makes dough, Mr. Freeze plays with dolls, Poison Ivy waters plants, Two-Face drops a coin, and the Riddler swears revenge. Batman and Robin take a tour of the city with their ground vehicles.

Walkthrough[]

You start at the entrance to the Gold Reserve. Destroy a phone booth and a box to build a parking lot. Pull two levers and drive a truck to open the door, then smash some shiny objects to build a Batman panel. Don the Glide Suit as Batman and switch to Robin to push a mechanism while he's on a platform, then switch to Batman to cross a gap. Use a Batarang to destroy a fan and raise a bridge, then use a truck to open a gate to the parking lot. Use a truck to activate a money switch and destroy an item, then build a Robin panel. Put on the Magnet Suit as Robin and use it to scale a metal wall, then pull a lever to make Batman climb up. Then use handholds to get to a balcony and destroy some objects to build a lever. Pull the two levers to make the platform go up, then break some bars and go to the next area.

In the next area, you will face Two-Face. Take two hearts from him and he will run away from you. Break some objects to build a Robin panel, then put on the Attract Suit as Robin and use it to attract 25 pieces. Put the pieces into the attracting machine to build a ship, then use it to chase Two-Face and take two hearts from him. After he runs away from you, build platforms to go through the acid and defeat some goons. Glide like Batman to get to a lever and have Robin go to the other lever. After that move on to the next area.

In the next area, watch out for the lasers and step on the blue switches to open the door to the final area.

In the final area, you will face the Riddler and Two-Face. Take the rest of the hearts from Two-Face and he will leave with the Riddler. The Riddler will start using a cannon. Destroy locks to open silver crates, then destroy gold to build a bypass and have the Riddler destroy it. Build some locks and do the same as you did earlier to get the Riddler out of the cannon, then take 6 hearts from him and he will mind control Two-Face. Hit Two-Face and the Riddler will drop down. Take a heart from him and he'll be back in control of Two-Face's mind. Do this three times to finish the level.

Collectables[]

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

Minikit Canisters
1. (S) Near the entrance to the parking lot, step on 5 posts to reveal this minikit.
2. (S) To the right in the parking lot, use a grappling hook character to get to this minikit.
3. (S) Use Robin in the Technology Suit, Nightwing in the same suit or the Scientist to shut down some turrets, then push through some doors to reach this minikit.
4. (S) Destroy some silver fences with a truck, then build a giant money symbol to reveal this minikit.
5. (F) Located near the civilian in danger.
6. (S) Located behind a curtain in the second area.
7. (S) Located behind a floor after Two-Face runs away.
8. (F) Use Poison Ivy to walk the acid on the right side, then break an object to reveal a platform and high-jump to reach this minikit.
9. (S) Located to the right in the final area.
10. (S) Destroy 5 large chests in the final area to reveal this minikit.

Slam Red Brick
- (F) Use a character immune to toxins to walk the acid on the left side, then step on the colored buttons like this: Red, Blue, Purple, Green. After that a door will open and you will be able to get this red brick.

Civilian in Peril
- (S) Use Robin or Nightwing in the Attract Suit to attract 25 pieces, then put the pieces into an attracting machine to build a machine that waters plants. Use the plants as springboards to get to this civilian.

Unlockables[]

The minikit model in this level is the Gold Reserve. In the Batcave you can buy Bruce Wayne, Alfred, Batgirl, Nightwing, a Police Officer, a Military Policeman, a Security Guard (all of these seven only if you haven't completed Penguin's Lair or To the Top of the Tower) and Bat-Tank (if you completed all three episodes). In addition to being able to play the other two hero episodes, you'll also unlock Arkham Asylum and be able to play The Riddler's Revenge on the villain side. After collecting the Red Brick, you can purchase Slam.
