The Blockade Runner is the first level in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. It is the first level of A New Hope.

Story[]
It is a period of the Galactic Civil War. Inside a Blockade Runner called the Tantive IV, Leia and a Rebel Trooper argue while wondering where the gunshots coming from the window are coming from, until they realize they are coming from a Super Star Destroyer. Stormtroopers board the ship and shoot at the Rebel Troopers. Leia and her Rebel Trooper bodyguard help the Rebel Troopers until they reach the cells. There, they lower C-3PO off a ledge, who then frees R2-D2. Leia and her Rebel Trooper bodyguard escort the droids until they reach the escape pod room. Darth Vader arrives there, but before he can capture the droids, Leia distracts him by dancing. This allows the droids to escape in the escape pod, although Leia is later captured. The escape pod lands on Tatooine.
Walkthrough[]
You start in a room with Leia and a Rebel Trooper. Go left and pull two levers next to a door to open it. Go through the door and you will find several Stormtroopers. These Stormtroopers will spawn infinitely from an elevator directly in front of you. Destroy the nearby camera to stop the infinite respawn. Defeat the Stormtroopers, turn the corner and go through another hallway to reach a control area. There, go up the ramp on the right, continue defeating more Stormtroopers, and go to the door on the left to proceed to the next area.
In the next area, go through the hallway and you will come to a small room with five Stormtroopers and an Imperial Officer. Defeat them and you will see two doors. The door on the right should be opened with R2-D2, so go to the one opposite to proceed to the next area.
In the next area, you'll see a cutscene where C-3PO is trapped on a high ledge, while R2-D2 is behind a barrier. Push five boxes into their positions on the ground, two on the left side and three on the right side, so you'll then see a cutscene where a small barrier is disabled. When the scene ends, fight two Stormtroopers that appear, go behind a large purple box on the right side and use a blaster to climb to the top of the box. Then, use a blaster again to reach the walkways above. There, walk along the path of studs until you see some pieces on the ground. Next, build a mechanism, turn it until the moving walkway points left, and cross it to reach the ledge with C-3PO. You will see a cutscene where C-3PO will walk onto a platform and your character will pull a lever to lower the platform. C-3PO will join your team. Then, return to the lower floor, switch to C-3PO, and use the protocol panel near the large barrier to disable it. In a small room, defeat a Stormtrooper and approach R2-D2 to join your team. Then, return to the previous area.
Back in the previous area, use R2-D2 to open the door on the right, the one you couldn't before. Go through the next hallway defeating several Stormtroopers until you reach the escape pod room. There, use C-3PO to open the door on the left and a cutscene will play, ending the level.
Collectables[]
S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.
- Minikit Canisters
- (S) At the beginning of the level, go right and you will see another closed door. Use a protocol droid to open it and find this minikit behind it. It is possible to obtain this minikit in Story if you return to this room after C-3PO joins your team.
- (F) In the initial room, head to the door ahead and you will come to a room with this minikit inside a tube. Use a Jedi character to open the tube and grab this minikit.
- (S) In the large room before the second area, build four desks around the bottom floor to reveal this minikit on top of the middle one.
- (S) After going through the first hallway in the second area, go to the back right corner to find this minikit.
- (F) In the third area, head to the top left corner and use a bounty hunter to open a door and find this minikit behind it.
- (S) After reaching the upper walkway in the third area, you will find this minikit before reaching the walkway with the mechanism.
- (S) You'll find this minikit just to the left side of the ledge with C-3PO in the third area. Your character may grab it during the cutscene where he lowers C-3PO off the ledge.
- (S) In the room where you find R2-D2 in the third area, push two blocks into their positions on the floor to reveal this minikit.
- (S) Go to the bottom right corner of the third area and the camera will rotate, revealing an alcove with a minikit on a distant ledge. Use a hover character to reach the other side with this minikit.
- (S) In the last room of the level, go to the northern escape pod and three Stormtroopers will attack you. Defeat them and inside the escape pod you will find this minikit.
Unlockables[]
After completing the level, you unlock C-3PO and R2-D2. Dengar will be unlocked after obtaining all minikits in this level. In Mos Eisley Cantina you can buy a Stormtrooper and an Imperial Officer. You will also be able to start The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi or continue to Mos Eisley Spaceport.

Trivia[]
- If one were to use a model extraction tool to move the camera anywhere and go out of bounds, one could see that the shots that appear in the first cutscene of this level are actually of an off-screen Zuckuss and not the Star Destroyer. This could be because the Star Destroyer is an intact object, and the developers used that Zuckuss to trigger the shots.[1]
- In the last room of the level, the player can use a bounty hunter to open a door on the right and see a secret scene. In this scene, a female Stormtrooper in pink armor and no helmet gives a Stormtrooper Han a kiss, only for him to notice the player. This then closes the escape pod door. The game crashes if the player kills both of them with an explosion before the cutscene plays.
