The Art Gallery is the fourteenth hero level in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Batman: The Videogame. It is the fourth hero level of The Joker's Last Laugh.

Story

The biplane ends up crashing into the rooftops of the Art Gallery. Batman realizes that the Joker and Scarecrow survived the crash. To chase them, the duo park their air vehicles on another rooftop. The duo then enter the Art Gallery, where they see the Joker and Scarecrow escape. The heroes chase them through the Art Gallery, ending in a battle against the Scarecrow. The Scarecrow uses poisonous gases to make the heroes hallucinate that they are fighting skeletons, when in reality they are Joker Goons. The duo manage to shake off the hallucination twice and defeat the Scarecrow. Upon defeating him, Batman attempts to beat him up like he tried to do with the Mad Hatter if he won't reveal the Joker's location. Scarecrow surrenders and tells the heroes that the Joker has gone to Gotham Cathedral with Harley Quinn. The duo take Scarecrow to Arkham Asylum.

Walkthrough

You start on the rooftops of the Art Gallery. Go right and two Joker Goons will attack you. Defeat them and destroy a white box to build a grapple point. Use it with Batman to reach the roof above, destroy another white box to build a lever, and pull it to raise a bridge. Cross the bridge and destroy a barrel with a skull logo to build a lever on top of a piece of acid. Then, build a suit swapper in the background and use it with Robin to put on the Bio Suit. With the Bio Suit, pull the lever on top of the acid piece to build a ladder and a grapple point to the right. Build the ladder first and then the grapple point. Use the grapple point with Batman to reach the high roof on the right and build a tightrope in the background. Robin will climb the ladder and walk on the tightrope to reach the roof on the right. Destroy another white box to build a hatch and enter it with Robin. Push a box to the edge to knock it over and build a lever. Pulling it will call a Goon Helicopter where two Joker Goons will come. Defeat them and the Goon Helicopter will send you two more Joker Goons. Defeat them as well and three glowing red targets will appear on the right wall. Use Batman's Batarang or Robin's Birdarang to hit them and turn them green, opening the door that will take you to the next area.

In the next area, you will see the Joker and the Scarecrow running away from you. Go down the stairs in the foreground and two Joker Goons will come to attack you. Defeat them and two more will come. Defeat them as well and the front gate will open, where two more Joker Goons will appear. Defeat them and use Batman's Batarang or Robin's Birdarang to hit two glowing red targets on either side, turning them green. This will reveal pieces on the floor before the right ledge. Go up the first set of stairs on the right again and use the pieces to build a Hero Panel. Use it to build a tightrope on the right ledge. Walk that tightrope with Robin, build a button and step on it to build a lever. Pull it to lower a chandelier and build a grapple point on the right ledge. This grapple point will allow Batman to reach the left ledge. Step on four square buttons on the left ledge to open the doors in front and build another grapple point. Use it with Batman to reach the ledge above and destroy a white box to build a metal wall. Use Robin on another suit swapper to put on the Magno Suit and scale the metal wall. With both characters on the highest ledge, have them pull two levers to open the door that will take you to the next area.

In the next area, you'll see the Joker and the Scarecrow still running away from you. Two Joker Goons will attack you. Defeat them and two Joker Goons further to the right will attack you. Defeat them too and two more Joker Goons will come. Defeat them once and for all and use Batman's Batarang or Robin's Birdarang to hit two glowing red targets and turn them green. This will break two sets of small lights to reveal stunt poles. Build a pole point and use it with Robin to reach the platform on the left. On that platform, push a box to the edge to knock it over and build a grapple point that will allow Batman to reach the platform. With Batman on the left platform, destroy a gray box to build a Hero Panel and use the panel to open the doors next to it, where some loose pieces will be. Use them to build a suit swapper that will allow Batman to put on the Glide Suit. Using the Glide Suit, stand on a small ledge on the right side of the platform and glide to the ledge on the right. On that ledge, push another box over the edge to knock it down and build a hatch below. This hatch will allow Robin to reach the right ledge. With both heroes on the right ledge, have them step on two buttons to open the doors that will take you to the final area.

In the final area, you will face the Scarecrow in a boss fight. Hit him several times until you remove three hearts. When you take three hearts from him, he will jump to the highest platform and two Joker Goons will come. He will then pull a lever to make you hallucinate that you are fighting skeletons. While you are under this effect, the Joker Goons endure a few more hits. When you defeat the goons, use Batman's Batarang or Robin's Birdarang to hit two glowing red targets on the wall ahead, turning them green. This will allow you to build a grapple point on the right side. Use it with Batman to reach the right ledge and destroy a white box to build a ladder for Robin. Glide to the left ledge and destroy another white box to build a tightrope that will allow Robin to reach the left ledge. With both characters on the left ledge, have them pull two levers to remove the hallucination effect, at which point the Scarecrow will return to the lower floor. Go back to the lower floor and hit the Scarecrow several times to remove three more hearts. When you take three more hearts from him, he will jump to the higher platform again and pull the same lever to give you the hallucination effect again. Defeat the next two Joker Goons, return to the left ledge, and have both characters pull the two levers again to remove the hallucination effect a second time. The Scarecrow will return to the lower floor once again. Hit him several times to remove his last three hearts and finish the level.

Collectables

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

• Minikit Canisters
  1. (S) Find three Riddler tokens throughout the level to get this minikit:
     1. After crossing the bridge in the first area, destroy a vent grate to reveal this Riddler token.
     2. On the high left platform of the third area, destroy a fire extinguisher in the upper left corner to reveal this Riddler token.
     3. In the final area, destroy a fire extinguisher in the upper right corner, to the right of a painting, to reveal this Riddler token.
  2. (S) On the high left ledge of the first area, destroy a barrel to build a grapple point. Use a character with grappling hook on that grapple point to knock over a box and build this minikit.
  3. (S) On the high right ledge of the first area, jump off the ledge in the foreground to reach a platform where you will find this minikit on the right. To return to the ledge, destroy a gray box to build a ladder.
  4. (F) Upon opening the front gate in the second area, destroy a white box to build a lever. Pull it to reveal this minikit in the air. Use a glide character from one of the two ledges to reach it.
  5. (F) On the lower floor of the third area, use a character with super strength to pull a pair of golden handles in the upper left corner and destroy a wall to reveal this minikit.

• Arkham Asylum Joker Card
  • (S) At the beginning of the level, you'll see a ledge with five wall buttons: three on the left wall and two on the right wall. Press three of them in the following order to reveal this Joker Card:
    1. Button in the upper left corner.
    2. Button in the lower left corner.
    3. Button in the center right.

Unlockables

After completing the level, you unlock Scarecrow. In the Batcave you can buy a Bodyguard. You will also be able to continue to Gotham Cathedral.
