Chase McCain: Aw, c'mon! Give up already!

Helping Snakes[]

[As Chase tries to find Snakes, he finds him clutching a sign]

Snakes Squealer: Help me! I don't wanna fall! I've got a wife and two goldfish!

Chase McCain: [on screen] Reach up... [off-screen] Tell me who you're working for.

Snakes Squealer: Errr! It's er, George! Er, George... Far...tar...ben...son...bury? [He grabs Chase's hand]

Chase McCain: Aww, c'mooooon!

Snakes Squealer: I...can't tell you. He'll take me apart! [He loses his left hand] ALRIGHT! I work for Rex Fury!

Chase McCain: Rex?! Where is he?

Snakes Squealer: I dunno! I never see him, he just phones me!

Chase McCain: Then, who would know?

Snakes Squealer: [on screen] Search me! ...Maybe Blue. [off-screen] He's the fixer in Albatross Prison! [on screen] Go see him! Just, just don't let me fall! [Chase grabs his right hand, causing him to lose it and fall] Aaaaaaaaaarrgh! [Chase saves him by grabbing his left foot]

Snakes Arrested[]

[Chase and Snakes exit through the doors of the skyscraper]

Chase McCain: You seem very well informed for a car thief.

Snakes Squealer: Yeah, well, I pick things up.

Chase McCain: Not any more you don't!

[Chase gives Snakes his hands in an attempt to get them back, but to no avail. A guard takes Snakes to a police van]

Dave Something: George? George Fartarbensonbury?

George Fartarbensonbury: Hey! Long time no see, Dave!

[Chase leaves. The level ends]

Story[]

After obtaining a new car, receiving a grapple gun from Ellie's uncle, sheriff Duke Huckleberry, and returning to the city, Ellie informs Chase about a group of criminals all atop a tall building, allowing him to try out his new grapple gun. While arresting the final criminal, he learns that the criminals were working for Rex Fury and tells McCain to seek out Blue Whittaker in the prison to find out how Rex escaped.

Walkthrough[]

Level Prelude[]

You first accesses it after obtaining the Grapple gun from Duke Huckleberry and using it to scale a large building. Due to the long Level Prelude, it is recommended that you watch the walkthrough on the following pages: New Faces and Old Enemies and Blast from the Past.

Level Walkthrough[]

You start on the upper floors of a skyscraper. You'll see a cutscene showing a quartet of robbers hiding in the right building, leaving Chase wondering how to get there. Go left and use the Police suit to cross a gap with the Grapple Gun. Then, continue left and use the Grapple Gun on another grapple point to cross another gap. Use it again to go to the upper floor and move along a small walkway to cross the gap on the right. Use it again to drop some objects on the right wall and build a trampoline to reach the much higher floor. There, destroy four white and blue objects to build a catapult, which you must use to reach the right building. Upon landing on a platform, one of the four thieves will notice you and tell the others to run away, so you must chase them. Climb up a drainpipe on the left and press the jump button as you run to go through two ducts on the right. Carefully walk along a small blue walkway to the right and use two handholds to reach the top floor of the next building and find the first thief. Press the action button near him to knock him down and press it again quickly to arrest him.

Once you're done arresting him, climb the white and blue wall on the right and use a zipline to the southeast to reach a distant building. Then, use some poles to swing to the other side of the building. There, climb up some vines tied to the walls and then climb a drainpipe to reach the roof above. Then, use a white and blue pad on the left to reach the roof on the previous side and find the second thief: Grubby Grubster. Repeat the same action you did with the first thief to arrest him.

Once you're done arresting him, climb into an alcove between two white and blue walls to find the third thief. Repeat the same action you did with the previous two thieves to arrest him. When you finish arresting him, you will only be left with the leader of the quartet, Snakes Squealer. Jump over two white and blue poles to the right and cross a duct to find Snakes, which will try to escape from you. Jump onto the zip line on the right and then quickly press the jump button to climb across the roofs of a very tall skyscraper. When you reach a blue walkway at the top of the skyscraper, go down the roof on the right side and you will see that Snakes will destroy a walkway so you can't reach him. However, a news helicopter will come to help you. Use the Police suit on the grapple point below the helicopter to cross the gap. Then, use handholds as you walk along small white and blue walkways to climb a higher skyscraper. You will see that Snakes will use an elevator and then a catapult to continue escaping from you. Use the Grapple Gun to reach the top floor of the skyscraper and then use the catapult to reach the skyscraper where Snakes arrived, at which point the level will end.

Collectables[]

S means that the collectible can be obtained when playing the level for the first time. F means that the collectible requires to be obtained with an ability that is obtained later in the game.

Police Shield Fragments
1. (F) Use a Farmer character to water five blue potted plants and get this police shield fragment:
  1. After opening the two doors to get the Bastion vehicle token, cross the second gap and go to the door on the right. In the room of that door you will find this blue flower pot on the front wall.
  2. In the zone where you arrest the first thief, you will find this blue flower pot on the left side, near the door that takes you to Snakes Squealer's character token.
  3. At the top of the second skyscraper, cross the fence on the left to find this blue flower pot.
  4. At the bottom of the fourth skyscraper, you will find this blue flower pot on the left side.
  5. At the bottom of the fourth skyscraper, you will find this blue flower pot on the right side.
2. (S) Build three antennas throughout the level to obtain this police shield fragment:
  1. In the zone where you arrest the first thief, destroy a pink cart to build this antenna.
  2. In the zone where you arrest Grubby, destroy a white box to build this antenna.
  3. Before using the zip line to reach the fifth skyscraper, destroy an air duct to build this antenna.
3. (F) Use a Construction character to repair three radars throughout the level and obtain this police shield fragment:
  1. In the zone where you arrest the first thief, jump down to the right to find this radar.
  2. Before using the zipline to reach the fourth skyscraper, go to the left side to find this radar.
  3. At the top of the fourth skyscraper, you will find this radar on the right side.
4. (S) You'll automatically get this police shield fragment when you arrest the third thief, so you can't miss it.

Tokens
- Character Tokens
  - Snakes Squealer (Robber)
    - (F) On the left side of the zone where you arrest the first thief, use a Fireman character to open a boarded door and enter a small room. There, use a Robber character to open a safe and reveal this character token.
  - Conrad Peters (Civilian)
    - (F) At the top of the third skyscraper, use a Construction character to blow a hole in a vent. Then, use the drill again to make a geyser and reach the water tank next to you. There, pull a lever to activate the water tank and reveal scattered bricks. Stand on the grid where the character token is and use a designated spot for your character to pull out a remote control and drive the RC car. With the RC car, cross the small gap in the grate to reach this character token.
- Vehicle Tokens
  - Bastion
    - (F) After crossing the first gap of the level, use an Astronaut character on a Teleport Pad to teleport to a special place. There, use a Robber character to open a door with a crowbar and use a color generator to change the color of the Color Gun from purple to green. Then, go back to where you were before and use the Color Gun to change the color of a button from red to green. This will open two doors on each side. Go to the door on the right and in the room there, use a Construction character to repair an electrical box and reveal this vehicle token.
  - Broadcaster
    - (F) In the zone where you arrest the third thief, slide down the chute to the left and use an Astronaut character on a space box to reveal a dynamite. Grab it with a Miner character, slide down the chute again, go down the alcove instead of jumping up the poles, and place the dynamite in a barrel to destroy a silver fan. With the silver fan destroyed, enter an office where you will find this vehicle token in the lower left corner.

Fast Build Red Brick
- (F) On the left side of the top of the third skyscraper, use a Farmer character to glide with the chicken to the top of the second skyscraper. There, destroy three air conditioners to build solar panels, which will cause the meter on a box to increase and activate a fan. Use the fan to reach the right roof and reach this Red Brick.

Unlockables[]

After beating it the first time, you unlock Free Run segments in the overworld and can return to previous levels for Free Play to obtain missed tokens or gain the LEGO City Hero title from gaining enough studs. Snakes Squealer (Robber), Conrad Peters (Civilian), Bastion and Broadcaster can be purchased at the Police Station after collecting their tokens. After collecting the Red Brick, you can purchase Fast Build (you will get it for free without paying in the remastered version).
