- The only difference with R2-D2 besides appearance is that he can self-destruct if the player presses the A button. This appears to be the DS counterpart of the Self Destruct extra.
- He, Biggs Darklighter, K-3PO, Zuckuss, Salacious Crumb, the four Biths and Wuher are the only characters exclusive to the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. He would not be playable in a home console game until his appearance in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
- He looks identical to R4-P17.
