Penguin's Lair is the tenth hero level of LEGO Batman: The Videogame. It is the fifth and final hero level of Power Crazed Penguin.

Opening Biography[]

Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, AKA the

Penguin, is a devious crime boss who is seldom

seen without one of his trick umbrellas. He

can use an umbrella to glide, and keeps

penguin bombers under his hat, which can be

dispatched at will.

Story[]

Batman and Robin arrive at the arctic world, where they see that a Penguin Minion was jumping on top of a policeman. Robin destroys the Penguin Minion with his Birdarang, but they realize that The Penguin has achieved his goal and more penguins are appearing. The heroes enter a cave and find Catwoman and Penguin turning on the machine. The heroes manage to defeat both villains. They eventually manage to destroy the machine, destroying all the penguins in Gotham City. The Penguin cries for his destroyed machine. The heroes finally arrest him. Catwoman tries to escape, but Batman sees her and throws a Batarang at her, knocking her unconscious. The Penguin and Catwoman are taken to Arkham Asylum.

With the Penguin's Group imprisoned, Bane tries to get out of his cell and fails, Killer Croc tries to escape from his cell by biting the bars, Man-Bat looks at a newspaper, Catwoman licks like a cat, and the Penguin is imprisoned and swears revenge. Batman and Robin take a tour of the city with their sea vehicles.

Walkthrough[]

You start in a snowy area. Destroy some objects to your right to build a ladder, then don your Glide Suit as Batman to cross a broken bridge. Press a button multiple times to inflate a little boat, then smash some ice spikes to build a stove. Then put on the Water Suit as Robin to dive and pull a lever that will raise a bridge. Enter the cave to go to the next area.

In the next area, you will come face to face with Catwoman and the Penguin. Hit Catwoman to make her run away, then spin a mechanism so a penguin spawned by the Penguin destroys a machine. Destroy two wheels of the machine for the Penguin to continue spawning penguins. Destroy the other three machines that you would have left to face the Penguin. Use a Batarang to bring him back to the ground and spend some of his hearts. Spend all of his hearts to finish the level.

Collectables[]

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

Minikit Canisters
1. (F) At the start of the level, use Batman or Batgirl in the Sonic Suit to destroy a glass floor. Use a character that can dive to reach this minikit.
2. (F) Use Mr. Freeze to freeze a part in the first gap, then use a character with explosives to destroy the silver grid and get this minikit.
3. (S) Use a high-jump character on some handholds to reach this minikit on the roof of a house.
4. (S) Break some plants to build 3 carrots and get this minikit:
  1. Located at the beginning of the level.
  2. Located near the second gap.
  3. Located near the civilian in danger.
5. (S) Use Batman or Batgirl in the Glide Suit while on a hook to reach this minikit.
6. (S) At the bottom of the second area, use a character that can glide to reach this minikit.
7. (F) On the right in the second area, use a high-jump character to reach this minikit.
8. (F) On the left in the second area, use the Penguin to destroy a cap on the left side of an acid. Use a character immune to toxins to reach this minikit.
9. (F) Use Batman or Batgirl in the Sonic Suit to destroy a glass door and enter a special area, then destroy a machine to reveal burned pieces. Use Batman or Batgirl with the Heat Protection Suit to avoid taking damage from burning parts, then build a hot minikit that will turn into a normal minikit.
10. (S) Once all four machines are destroyed, use a character that can shoot from a distance to destroy 4 generators above and reveal this minikit.

Bats Red Brick
- (F) Use a hook character to reach a switch, then use the switch to reveal two penguins on motorized treadmills. Get on a motorized treadmill and run on it until the three little green lights turn on, then press a button to reveal this red brick.

Civilian in Peril
- (S) Located at the end of the first area.

Unlockables[]

The minikit model in this level is a Penguin Army. In the Batcave or Arkham Asylum, you can buy Man-Bat, a Yeti and a Penguin Minion. When you haven't done The Face-Off nor To the Top of the Tower, the extra characters you can buy are Bruce Wayne, Alfred, Batgirl, Nightwing, a Police Officer, a Military Policeman, and a Security Guard, and for completing all three episodes, the Bat-Tank is the only vehicle you can buy. In addition to playing The Joker's Return on the hero side, you can also play Power Crazed Penguin on the villain side. After collecting the Red Brick, you can purchase Bats.
