Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the first episode in LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7.
Story[]
In 1995, while staying at the Dursleys' house, Harry Potter and Dudley are attacked by Dementors. Harry repels them using an Expecto Patronum spell. The Ministry of Magic detects that Harry, a minor, is using magic and expels him from Hogwarts, although he is later exonerated. The Order of the Phoenix, a secret organization founded by Professor Dumbledore, informs Harry that the Ministry of Magic is attempting to block rumors of Lord Voldemort's return. At the Order headquarters, Harry's godfather, Sirius Black, mentions that Voldemort is searching for an item he was previously missing; Harry thinks it's a gun.
Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge has appointed Professor Umbridge as Hogwarts' new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Umbridge's refusal to teach defensive spells causes her and Harry to clash. Harry is forced to write lines for "lying" about Voldemort. A magic quill etches the words into his hand as he writes. Ron and Hermione are outraged, but Harry refuses to tell Dumbledore, who has distanced himself from Harry. As Umbridge gains more control over the school, Ron and Hermione help Harry form "Dumbledore's Army", a secret group to teach students defensive spells. Umbridge recruits Slytherins for an Inquisitorial Squad to spy on the other students. Meanwhile, Harry and Cho Chang develop romantic feelings for each other.
One night, Harry imagines Arthur Weasley being attacked at the Ministry, seeing it from the attacker's perspective. Worried that Voldemort will exploit this connection with Harry, Dumbledore has Professor Snape teach Harry Occlumency to defend his mind from Voldemort's influence.
During a lesson, Harry sees Snape's memories of how his father, James Potter, bullied and tormented Snape at school. The connection between Harry and Voldemort further isolates Harry from his friends. Meanwhile, Bellatrix Lestrange, Sirius' deranged Death Eater cousin, escapes from Azkaban prison along with nine other Death Eaters.
At Hogwarts, Umbridge and her Inquisitorial Squad expose Dumbledore's Army. Dumbledore, falsely accused of forming it, escapes while Fudge orders his arrest. Harry believes that Cho betrayed Dumbledore's Army and handed him over to Umbridge, ending their budding relationship. Umbridge becomes the new headmistress. Harry experiences a vision in which Voldemort is torturing Sirius. Harry, Ron, and Hermione rush to Umbridge's office to alert the Order via the Floo Network. Umbridge catches them and, as she is about to severely punish Harry, Hermione claims that Dumbledore has hidden a "secret weapon" in the Forbidden Forest. She and Harry take Umbridge to the location of Hagrid's giant half-brother, Grawp. The centaurs confront them and kidnap Umbridge after she insults and attacks them.
Harry, Hermione, Ron, Luna, Neville and Ginny fly to the Ministry of Magic in Thestrals to save Sirius. The six enter the Department of Mysteries and recover the item Voldemort seeks, a bottled prophecy labeled with Harry's name. Death Eaters, including Lucius Malfoy and Bellatrix Lestrange, ambush them. Lucius reveals that Harry's vision of Sirius being tortured was a ruse to lure him there. Harry refuses to give the prophecy to Lucius and a fight ensues between Dumbledore's Army and the Death Eaters. The Death Eaters overpower the students and force Harry to hand over the prophecy. As Harry hands it over to Lucius, Sirius and Remus Lupin arrive with Order members Nymphadora Tonks, Kingsley Shacklebolt, and Mad-Eye Moody. As they attack the Death Eaters, Lucius drops the prophecy and destroys it. Just as Sirius overpowers Lucius, Bellatrix kills Sirius. Voldemort appears, but moments before he can kill Harry, Dumbledore arrives. A violent duel breaks out, destroying much of the Atrium, while Bellatrix escapes. The two wizards are evenly matched, so Voldemort possesses Harry's body and wants Dumbledore to sacrifice him. Harry's love for his friends and family quickly drives out Voldemort. Ministry officials arrive before Voldemort disappears; Fudge admits that Voldemort has returned and resigns in disgrace.
Umbridge is fired and Dumbledore returns as headmaster of Hogwarts. Dumbledore explains that he had distanced himself from Harry to prevent Voldemort from exploiting their connection. He also reveals the prophecy. While mourning Sirius's death, Harry tries to accept the prophecy: "Neither can live while the other survives."

Differences from the film and book[]
- Harry is seen reading a newspaper with pieces of Cedric in the Triwizard Cup.
- In the tunnel between Magnolia Crescent and it's Road and Little Whinging, Harry Potter has to defeat several Dementors instead of two, as in the book and film.
- During the Advance Guard's flight, Tonks loses control of her broom and the Advance Guard makes a crash landing.
- Number 12 Grimmauld Place reveals itself by unfolding brick by brick.
- At the beginning of the hearing, Fudge was just about to smash Harry's wand with his gavel just before Dumbledore arrives.
- The Wizengamot members who voted Harry's innocence held up giant green hands, while Umbridge, who voted Harry's guiltyness, held up a giant red hand.
- It was Sirius Black who wrote the list for Dumbledore's Army.
- When Professor Umbridge caught the D.A. members carrying defensive books, she turned those books into her own theory books.
- Kreacher caused a lot of trouble to Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
- Cho Chang was the one to snitch on Dumbledore's Army. She did so in the film, but in the book it was her friend Marietta Edgecombe.
- When Harry, Ron, first met Grawp, he asks, not to play a bike handle, but a trumpet, a rubber duck, and an accordian.
- The Portable Swamp is included called as the "Swamp-in-The-Box". They can be activated by the Weasley family. It appeared in the book, but omitted in the film.
- Grawp throws Umbridge on the back of a centaur. In the book and film, the centaurs simply drag her away.
- The prophecy shows Harry and Lord Voldemort fighting over a heart.
- Out of all the Death Eaters who participated in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, only Bellatrix Lestrange and Lucius Malfoy appear uncloaked and unmasked. The rest of the participents, Mulciber, Nott, Jugson, Avery Jr, Crabbe, Walden Macnair, Augustus Rookwood and Bellatrix's husband Rodolphus Lestrange (along with his brother Rabastan) appear as generic Death Eaters, masked and in full outfits.
- Like his film counterpart, Sirius Black is killed off by Bellatrix with Avada Kadavra before falling into the veil. In the book, the curse was not specified, but it was implied to be Stupefy in the game.
- As Sirius Black passes through the veil, Harry pulls his legs off. He comes back out of the veil to ask Lupin for his legs back, and then passes through it again. It is impossible for someone to come out of that veil.
