Mayor Gleeson is a minor character in LEGO City Undercover but has a larger role in The Chase Begins.

Story[]

Gleeson was the former police chief of Lego City, helping the new officer, Chase McCain get warmed up to working on the force and often getting him roped up in undercover jobs. After he got deported, Gleeson quit the police department and became mayor of the city while Deputy Dunby took over as chief. She's the first to inform Chase that Rex Fury had escaped prison and to arrest him again.

She's much fairer to Chase than Dunby, but will get angry at him if he messes up.

LEGO City Undercover[]

Gleeson is the first person to greet Chase once he returns to Lego City, she returns briefly after Chase saves Frank Honey from Chan's gang to await the arrival of the new police truck, discovering that Dunby was preventing Chase from looking into Rex's escape. Finally she reappears at the end to congratulate Chase for once again saving the city.

Although she's the mayor, Gleeson is under the Police category and is unlocked in two different ways depending on what version of the game the player has. In the original Wii U version and the Switch port, Chase must go to King's Court and guide one of the Bullet Bills towards a cage that contains her character token. In every other port, the Bullet Bills are removed and the cage now has an orange handle only Rex can pull open.

LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins[]

Gleeson is the police chief in the prequel, getting Chase introduced to the other officers and having Dunby take charge whenever she's unavailable. She later explains to Chase who Rex Fury is and how they are unable to arrest him without proof of him committing crimes out of disguise. There are hints in the game that show her running for mayor, being two posters that show her in her mayor outfit posing at the camera.
