Market Mayhem is the second level of the original adventures portion from LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues. It is the second level of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Story[]
Indy and Marion travel by foot to the city of Cairo where they seek help from Indiana's old friend Sallah, whom they wish to recruit in the search for the Ark. They meet up with him in the market but Major Toht is waiting for them. While Indiana and Sallah catch up, Marion is snatched up by Toht's goons when distracted by a monkey. Indiana and Sallah then fight off Bandits, Toht's soldiers, and rogue Bandit Swordsman in the city streets, with fleeing merchants all around them. Indiana and Sallah attempt to rescue Marion from Toht, but in the end, they ultimately fail.
Walkthrough[]
Level Prelude[]
You start at the entrance to the tavern you were on the previous level. Go left, after going down some stairs and crossing a bridge you will come to a closed door. Switch to Marion to reach for a handhold and pull it to drop a key. Place the key in the mechanism, then turn it to open a door that will take you to this level.
Level Walkthrough[]
The level only consists of one area which is a street in Cairo. Defeat 5 Masked Bandits, then 5 Enemy Soldiers will come. Defeat these Enemy Soldiers and 2 types of enemies will appear, 8 yellow dressed Enemy Soldiers and 2 green dressed Enemy Soldiers riding camels. For the yellow clothing soldiers, do the same as you did for the 5 before. For the green clothed soldiers, use Indy's whip to dismount them from the camels and then hit them. Once you kill these 10 enemies, 8 Masked Bandits and 2 Enemy Soldiers in black clothes will come. For the Masked Bandits, do the same thing you did for the first 5. For the Enemy Soldiers in black clothes, use Indy's whip on orange rings to knock them off the platforms they are on and then hit them. Once you kill these enemies, a final wave will come against 5 Bandit Swordsmen. They will have a black sword, which will make it so that you can't beat them with blows, whips or shovels. Go to one of the Masked Bandits on the left, then defeat one and grab a sword. Defeat 3 Bandit Swordsmen that are on the first floor, then you only have to defeat the ones on the second floor. Grab one of the bananas from the barrels below the second floor, then throw it at a monkey on a platform to get a key. Place the key in a mechanism, then turn it to extend some stairs. Jump through the awnings to reach the last 2 Bandit Swordsmen, defeat them with a sword to end the level.
Unlockables[]
At the end of the level you can unlock Sallah. In Raiders Hub you can buy a Masked Bandit and an Army Jeep. You will also be able to continue to Map Room Mystery.
