LEGO Racers is a LEGO-themed racing video game developed by High Voltage Software and published by LEGO Media in 1999. Set in the fictional "Legoland" universe, the single-player mode follows various minifigure characters competing in a racing competition created by a fictional racing champion called Rocket Racer. The PC release received mostly positive reviews while the Playstation and Nintendo 64 ports were mostly mixed with the Gameboy Colour port being negatively criticized.
There are four different race modes. The Circuit Races where you can partake in four track circuits to unlock characters and car parts, Single Races where you race computer opponents on a single track, Versus Races where you play against another human player and the Time Races which are a time attack mode, beating all the best times unlocks Veronica Voltage and her car parts.
For the latter three modes, the player can only race on courses they've already unlocked.
Intro
Circuits[]
There are a total of seven circuits to complete, the first six consisting of four racetracks while the seventh is a race against Rocket Racer himself. The latter three of the six circuits feature mirrored versions of the previous tracks.
Winning first place in each circuit will reward the player with the champion's car parts.

Version Differences[]
Game Boy Color[]
- The car creation mode is limited to compensate for the less powerful hardware

- The powerup bricks don't stack
- The circuit tracks have been mixed up
- The player doesn't unlock the character's cars when beating each circuit, although they can still unlock the circuit bosses
Trivia[]
- As the player's only opponent in Time Race is a ghost racer that passes through them, the Yellow item bricks are completely removed from this mode.
- Veronica Voltage is the only opponent that uses the shortcuts in the track. The regular race opponents (including the bosses), never use them, even if they're permanently open.
- This is the only LEGO game released for the N64
