LEGO Battles: Ninjago | LEGO Ninjago: Nindroids | LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin |
LEGO Ninjago: Nindroids is the second game in the Ninjago game series and is loosely based on the third season of the show: Rebooted. The game's cutscenes consist of either still images created for the game or footage of the TV show, dubbed over by the game's voice actors. The game received mixed reviews upon release.
The game is played with an isometric viewpoint, similar to the GBA Star Wars titles, with some autoscrolling vehicle added in. Each level also has their own set of Gold Brick challenges, ranging from completing the level in a short period of time, performing combos or not losing a life during the level.
Plot[]
The game follows the plot of the third season, after the defeat of The Overlord, Ninjago City was rebuilt into New Ninjago City, being much more high tech than before. Unfortunately The Overlord was able to return as a computer virus, hacking all the vehicles and security mechs to attack the ninja. The ninja however are able to hack their own vehicles and escape with Lloyd thanks to their new Technoblades.
Wu unfortunately is captured by The Overlord and is corrupted, however the newly reformed Sensei Garmadon is able to help the ninja in their mission to take back the city and wipe the Overlord virus off the system. Shutting off the city's power does give the ninja the upper hand for a short while, only for Pythor, a villain from the first season to return and provide an alternate power source for The Overlord. Unfortunately Lloyd is captured, so it's up to the ninja to use their Technoblades inside The Overlord's own domain, The Digiverse to stop him for good.
While the Ninja are inside, Garmadon manages to fend off his brainwashed brother and Lloyd is able to transfer his golden power to each of the ninja, enabling them to destroy The Overlord once and for all and for Lloyd to swim back to Ninjago once he's released. However the game ends on a cliffhanger with The Overlord supposedly awakening.

Differences Between TV Show[]
The game was created before the show finished writing its final episodes, as such there are a large number of differences:
- The love triangle between Nya, Jay and Cole doesn't happen, although Cole and Jay to bicker at one point in the game.
- Zane never gets damaged during the fight against the Nindroids and thus never needed to be repaired by Pixal. He only goes out to save her because she needed help.
- Garmadon doesn't take an oath of nonviolence.
- The ninja never go into space to collect what remains of The Golden Weapons.
- The Overlord was unable to become The Golden Master, as such Zane never sacrifices himself to destroy him.
Trivia[]
- Misako makes no appearance in this game, not even in cutscenes, despite being part of Season 3.
- The Weekend Whip, the opening theme to Ninjago plays as an instrumental on the title and in the Level Select menu, with another version of the song known as The Rebooted Whip plays in full in the credits.
