Ice Cream Factory is the second villain level in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Batman: The Videogame. It is the second villain level of The Bullion Dollar Riddle.

Story

After Clayface is taken to Arkham Asylum, the Riddler recruits Mr. Freeze for his second objective, which is to get an ice cannon at the Ice Cream Factory. Heading there, Mr. Freeze freezes two Police Officers, allowing him and the Riddler to continue their objective. They infiltrate the factory and eventually manage to get the ice cannon out of a container. However, Mr. Freeze sees on a screen that Batman and Robin are on their way, so he confronts them while the Riddler and Two-Face take the ice cannon.

Walkthrough

You start at the entrance to the Ice Cream Factory. Go left and two police officers will attack you. Defeat them and use Mr. Freeze to pull a box with golden handles on the right side. Jump onto it with the Riddler and double jump to reach the ledge above. There, build a lever and pull it to build a ladder for Mr. Freeze. Build two buttons and have both characters step on them to build a Villain Panel below. Use it to open the door that will take you to the next area.

In the next area, use Mr. Freeze to pull some golden handles and destroy a wall to reveal a button on the ground. Step on it to build another button and step on it to extend a platform. Use the Riddler on it to cross the gap on the right, build a lever and pull it to extend another platform for Mr. Freeze. Use Mr. Freeze to cross a freezing gas and you will have to place three blue bricks on a build-it machine. The first blue brick can be found inside a container on the right. Use the cold gun to hit a dark target and open the container. Grab the blue brick and place it in the build-it machine. Next, build a ladder and climb it to reach the ledge above, where you'll find the other two blue bricks inside two containers in front. Open the containers by shooting two dark targets with the cold gun, grab each blue brick and place it in the build-it machine. By placing the three blue bricks into the build-it machine, you will build a lever. Pull it to turn off the freezing gases so the Riddler can cross. Climb the ladder again and go left. Use Mr. Freeze to pull other golden handles and destroy a wall to reveal a button. Step on it to build another button and step on it to extend a platform. Double jump from it with the Riddler to cross the gap on the left, build a lever and pull it to extend another platform for Mr. Freeze. Switch to Mr. Freeze to cross the freezing gases on the left and pull a lever to turn them off. Have both characters step on two buttons to open the door that will take you to the next area.

In the next area, cross two barriers of freezing gases with Mr. Freeze and pull a lever to turn them off. Next, build two buttons and have both characters step on them to open the door that will take you to the final area.

In the final area, you'll find the ice cannon locked in bars on the high ledge. Two SWATs will come from above. Defeat them and use the Riddler on one of the three grapple points to reach the ledge above and step on a button to open a container with another button. Step on that button as well to make one of the three red lights above the front door turn green. Repeat this with the other two red lights to open the front door. Go through the newly opened door to reach the high ledge. There, have both characters step on two buttons to open the bars with the ice cannon, ending the level.

Collectables

All collectibles in the level can only be obtained in Free Play.

• Minikit Canisters
  1. Find three Riddler tokens throughout the level to get this minikit:
     1. On the right side of the first area, destroy a trash can in the lower right corner to reveal this Riddler token.
     2. On the right side of the high ledge in the second area, use an explosive character to destroy a red panel and build a grapple point. Use a character with grappling hook on it to reach the platform with this Riddler token.
     3. On the ledge above the central container in the final area, use an explosive character to destroy a red pipe and reveal this Riddler token.
  2. At the start of the second area, use a Hero character on a Hero Panel on the left to open the bars with this minikit.
  3. On the left side of the high ledge in the second area, use an explosive character to destroy a red panel and build another grapple point. Use a character with grappling hook on it to reach the walkway above and go right to find this minikit.
  4. In the second area, from the platform with the second Riddler token from the first minikit, use a high-jumper character to jump to the platform on the right and find this minikit.
  5. At the beginning of the third area, use an explosive character to destroy a red panel and build a grapple point. Use a character with grappling hook on it to reach the ledge above. Then, walk to the left of a tightrope with a capable character and drop off the ledge to reach the low ledge with this minikit. You can use a character with grappling hook on a grapple point to get back to the ledge above.

• Gotham Streets (Hero) Red Power Brick
  • Note: This Red Power Brick can also be obtained on the hero side of this level. In the center of the first area, you will find a red lock. Use an explosive character to destroy it and open the doors on the other side of the fences. On the other side of the fences, use a suit swapper with Robin or Nightwing to put on the Magno Suit. Go back to the main side, go right and destroy a trash can to build a gold door. Use the Gold Key on it to open the nearby fences. Behind those fences, pull a lever to open some bars and use a character with super strength to push a box with golden handles and build a grapple point. Use a character with grappling hook on it to reach the walkway above, go left and destroy a grey box to build another grapple point. Use it to reach the left platform and then use a glide character to reach the right platform. On that platform, build a metal wall and climb it with the Magno Suit to reach the highest roof of the factory. There, use an explosive character to destroy two red chimneys and reveal two buttons. Step on them to open a gate with this Red Power Brick on top of the factory. To reach it, use the Magno Suit to climb a metal wall to the right of the factory and use a character with grappling hook on a grapple point to reach the high right ledge. There, use a small character to enter a hatch and jump onto the walkway on the left to reach this Red Power Brick.

• Mr. Freeze Joker Card
  • In the second area, from the platform with the second Riddler token from the first minikit, use a glide character to glide to the platform on the left. On that platform, use an explosive character to destroy a red box and reveal this Joker Card.

• Man-Bat
  • While playing this level in Villain Hunt mode, you will find this character near the central container of the final area.

Unlockables

After completing the level, you unlock a Policeman (Sergeant). In the Batcave you can buy a Freeze Bodyguard. In Arkham Asylum you will be able to continue to Batmobile Chase. After collecting the Red Power Brick, you can purchase Gotham Streets (Hero). After finding Man-Bat in Villain Hunt mode, you can purchase him in the Batcave.
