Hogwarts is a massive hub of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4.

Areas

Since the hub is so big, there are vast areas of it. The two LEGO Harry Potter video games are rather unique because they are the only LEGO video games to have two hubs: The primary hub, The Leaky Cauldron/Diagon Alley is the hub where you buy characters and go in levels, while Hogwarts is an in game hub. In a way it links all the levels up as all are held in Hogwarts besides The Magic Begins. A striking thing about Hogwarts is that the collectables don't reappear like other hubs and that there are character tokens included in this hub.

Note that LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars has two hubs, but in another manner of style. See The Resolute and The Invisible Hand.

Collectables

Main Hall

• Gold Bricks
  1. There are six chandeliers in the room. Use magic to illuminate them and the brick will appear in the middle.

• Student in Peril
  • Use Wingardium Leviosa on the bookshelf and jump to the top, where you will help a student.

    • There are six torches in the room - use Wingardium Leviosa on them. The other three can be found in the Corridor - there's a padlock on one of them, so use Reducto.

Entrance Hall

  1. In the room you will find four folded home signs. Two by the stairs and two on the wall high above the entrance to the Great Hall. Use magic to unfold them.

  • Use magic on the green banner above the door to the Great Hall, the student is inside.

    • Just below the stairs that lead to the Bathroom Corridor.

    • On the left you will find a showcase. Use Dark Magic on it.

Great Hall

• Gold Bricks
  1. You can find green jugs (along with two green glasses) on the table. Use magic on them to make the glasses fill. On the prefects' table there is a set, six jugs in total. Once the Gold Brick appears, shoot the plates on the tables to create platforms through which you can reach the Brick.

  • On the left side of the room, there is a student in a spider web. Use magic to free him.

    • Next to the prefects' table, on the right, you will find a food tray - use Reducto on it.

    • Next to the prefects' table, on the left, you will find a food tray - use Reducto on it.

• Red Bricks

    • At the end of the left table there's a big brick - once you use magic on it, it will turn into a chicken. After running around for a bit, it will eventually explode and a red brick will appear. The owl can be found on the right, next to the prefects' table.

Bathroom Hallway

  1. Head upstairs - unblock the passage with Reducto. Behind the window you will find an item which you have to guide through the labyrinth with Wingardium Leviosa - the second character will move away the bricks blocking the way with Wingardium Leviosa. Once the item fall out, use magic on it - a slime will appear. Follow it until it leaves behind a brick.

    • Use a character with a book on the shelf next to the entrance, then use Wingardium Leviosa to assemble a small closet - use magic on it.

Boys' Bathroom

In order to get into the bathroom, use Reducto on the padlock.

    • Next to the green cabinets you will find a trash bin - take out a spray and paint a graffiti on the wall using Wingardium Leviosa on it.

    • Using Wingardium Leviosa, place the two missing showers and then turn on the water in all four showers using normal magic.

Library

You will find the key at the bottom of the Main Hallway, after getting rid of the Boggart with Riddikulus.

    • Use Reducto to get rid of the padlock on the gate on the right and push away the plank with Wingardium Leviosa. Use Wingardium Leviosa to assemble a radio and use magic on it.
  • Susan Bones*
    • Use magic on the third roller blind and then Wingardium Leviosa on the window - a book will fly out and a torch from it. Use Wingardium Leviosa on it to light the flames on the statues and then attack the statue by the painting. The wizard will run towards the second painting. Go there and jump onto the yellow flower - the second character will use Wingardium Leviosa on it.

Library (back room)

To get to the back room, you must create an Ageing Potion in the library. Unroll the middle roller blind and open the window with Wingardium Leviosa - you will receive the first ingredient. Use magic on the third roller blind and then Wingardium Leviosa on the window - a book will fly out and a torch from it. Use Wingardium Leviosa on it to light the flames on the statues and then attack the statue by the painting. The wizard will run towards the second painting, where you will also find the next ingredient. On the right, by the barrier you will find a chest - chase away the Devil's Snare. Inside you will find a potion ingredient. Use Lumos Solem to chase away the Devil's Snare from the chest and glasses will fall out of it - use Wingardium Leviosa to give it to the character on the painting. Put the crest into the door.

  1. Use magic on the three Sorting Hats - the first one can be found on the terrace on the left, on the balustrade; the second one is being held by pixies (that you must eliminate them with Immobulus) at the back of the room; the third one is on the terrace on the right.

• Student in Peril
  • Use magic on the red book under the right terrace and then Wingardium Leviosa. Use Crookshanks to dig up the ladder. Head to the terrace on the left, get rid of the ghost and use the closet to put on the earmuffs. Return to the right terrace, pick up the Mandrake and put it into the pot.

• Character Tokens

    • Use a character with book in the cabinet at the back of the room and then assemble a cart with Wingardium Leviosa. Jump on it and collect five pink books scattered around the room.
  • Wizard (Red)*
    • Jump to the terrace on the left (first to the yellow book, then to the next ones) and use Dark Magic on the closed shelf. Eliminate, successively: a spider, a Dementor (using Expecto Patronum) and a hornet.

    • Head to the back of the room, use Wingardium Leviosa to place three colorful books in the right places. The owl is at the back of the room on the right.

The Grand Staircase

• Gold Bricks
  1. Use magic on the painting with a player holding a ball. He will throw it to the next person - head upstairs, pass by another painting and keep heading up. The next player will send the ball back o the lower one - turn around. Once more hit the painting with a spell and the ball will head to the very top, to a dog which will throw out a bone. A brick will appear once you get close.

  • At the very top of the staircase, tangled in the spider-web - use normal magic on him.

• Character Tokens

    • Before the entrance to the Muggle Artifacts Room you will find two pots - use magic twice on each. Firstly flowers will grow out and then they will be thrown into the air.

    • In front of the Dumbledore's Office entrance you can find candlesticks - light them up with Wingardium Leviosa.

Muggle Artifacts Room

To get to the room, press the button next to the blue door.

  1. Use magic on the painting by the door and use Wingardium Leviosa to put the letter into the box - a rabbit will jump out. Arrange the desks so that you can get onto the shelf - get the second rabbit out. Press the buttons on the TV on the right and use magic on the screen itself. Once the car starts, the Gold Brick will appear.

    • Use magic on the statuette with a waving head and another one will appear - repeat the operation once again.

    • Use magic on the screen twice.

    • Use magic on the printer - it should print a card with a Red Brick, which will then appear. Take it to the owl to the left of the door.

Dumbledore's Office

You can enter the office only after finishing the main story mode!

    • After preparing the Strengthening Potion, go upstairs and pull the chain. Go down and destroy all the planets - the Sorting Hat will appear. Hang it on the chair with Wingardium Leviosa.

Slytherin Dungeon

To enter, you need a Slytherin student.

  1. On the back of the bedroom there is a chest - open it with a spell and the brick will then appear on the water.

  • Right next to the entrance, use magic on the bookshelf to free the student.

Gryffindor Common Room

You need a Gryffindor student to enter.

  • Use a spell on the couch on the left side of the room and the sleeping student will fall inside. He will fall out as a cube - use magic once more to save him.

Gryffindor Dormitory

  1. Destroy all the tops of the four beds using magic and the brick will appear on one of them. Jump off a mattress to get it.

In order to enter, use Immobulus to eliminate the pixie holding the handle, use Wingardium Leviosa to place it in its place and open.

  • Put earmuffs on in the wardrobe, pick up the Mandrake and put it into the pot.

Hufflepuff Common Room

To enter, you need a Hufflepuff student.

  • Attack the plant inside the chimney twice and the student will eventually fall.

Hufflepuff Dormitory

In order to get inside, activate the candlestick in the common room with Wingardium Leviosa, put earmuffs on in the wardrobe, pick up the Mandrake and put it into the pot by the wardrobe and door on the left.

    • You will find a chest by the door - inside there's a few bricks, from which you can assemble a radio with Wingardium Leviosa.

    • Use magic on the barrel in the middle of the room and then destroy all the flowers that will appear. The owl is on the left side.

Ravenclaw Tower

    • Immediately after entering, use magic on the door on the left and then use Wingardium Leviosa to assemble the bricks into a whole.

Ravenclaw Common Room

To enter, you need a Ravenclaw student.

  1. Inside the room, you will find three out of five gold books - use magic on them. The other two can be found in the Ravenclaw Dormitory.

    • Use magic on the chest in the middle and a red ball will fall out - the token will eventually appear on the left side.

  • Hogwarts Crest Detector
    • At the bottom of the room you will find a few bricks - bigger and smaller ones, on which you can use Wingardium Leviosa. After creating a giant bird, use magic and it will fly away. The owl is on the left.

Ravenclaw Dormitory

  • In the middle of the room you will find a student and a red book. Beside there's a chain - use magic on it and use Wingardium Leviosa to place the wrapped book on the cart.

    • Destroy the top of the bed on the left and jump on it to reach the token.

Corridor

    • There are three panels in the corridor, on which you can use a spell. There's a padlock on one of them - use Reducto.

Hagrid's Hut

• Gold Bricks
  1. Use Lumos Solem and Wingardium Leviosa on the three large boards buried in the ground. Then use Wingardium Leviosa on the broom to clean them. The brick will appear in the middle, on a stone platform.

• Student in Peril
  • On the right, by the path, you will find the student trapped inside the Devil's Snare. Use Lumos Solem to save him.

• Character Tokens
  • Percy Weasley
    • Pull four carrots out of the ground with Wingardium Leviosa.
  • Ginny (Cardigan)*
    • Use Immobilus on the pixie holding the pumpkin and on the one holding the rocket. Light up the fuse - it will explode in the air. Use the pumpkin helicopter to reach the token.
  • Cedric (Lake Task)*
    • After gaining the last token, return to the location and you will find another rocket, but his time with a padlock - get rid of it with Reducto. Use the pumpkin helicopter to reach the token.
  • Viktor Krum*
    • Beside you will find a rocket, on which you can use only Dark Magic. Act just like in the previous cases - use the pumpkin helicopter.

• Red Bricks
  • Fast Dig
    • By the path there's some round bricks. Use Wingardium Leviosa to create a cloud from them. First, move the cloud left and right while using Wingardium Leviosa to reveal four flower clusters. Use Wingardium Leviosa on each group and you will unlock a brick. The owl is on the left, next to the entrance you came in through.

Hagrid's Garden

• Gold Bricks
  1. Turn over the cauldron next to the door. Fill the container at the back of the garden with water and use Wingardium Leviosa to pour the contents into the cauldron. Use Wingardium Leviosa to spread the blanket resting next to the basket and then throw in some food and bricks. Then use Wingardium Leviosa to put the ingredients into the cauldron. By the pump you will find a watering can and some seeds beside - use Wingardium Leviosa to plant and water them - you will receive a part of the salt shaker. Dig a hole in the top right. Once you have all the bricks, connect them into a large shaker.
  2. (Time Travel) Use Fang to dig up the head and put it on the scarecrow with Harry's Wingardium Leviosa. Dig somewhere else with Fang, switch to Harry, destroy all the pumpkins, and create a chain with Wingardium Leviosa. Switch to Hagrid and pull the chain. Use Wingardium Leviosa to assemble the grill and place the dragon egg on it.

• Students in Peril
  1. Once you take the food, once more use Wingardium Leviosa on the basket - the student will throw out some grain. Use magic on the grain and a pumpkin will appear - use Wingardium Leviosa on it to save the student.
  2. (Time Travel) On the right, the student is crushed by a pumpkin - use a normal spell on it.

    • Use Reducto on the chest on the right and then get rid of the Dementor with Expecto Patronum.

    • (Time Travel) Use Reducto on the padlock by the axe.

Quidditch Gate

  1. Jump onto the bench by the tent and the second character will use Wingardium Leviosa to lift you up. Use the same spell on the red sphere blockade - it will roll down to the very bottom and fall into the chest.
  2. (Time Travel) Next to the tent you will find a digging spot - switch to Hermione and use Crookshanks to dig up the stand. Use Wingardium Leviosa to assemble it and then place the notes. Start directing with Wingardium Leviosa.

• Students in Peril
  1. Right at the beginning, there is a student on the poster. Use Wingardium Leviosa on the folded material in order to create a trampoline, onto which he will be able to jump down.
  2. (Time Travel) The student is in a locked chest next to the tent. Use Reducto to save him.

    • To the right you will find a popcorn stand. Throw all four corn cobs into it and apart from the studs, the token will also fly out.

    • (Time Travel) To the right, next to the stand, you will find a place to dig. Switch to Hermione and dig up the bricks with Crookshanks. Use Wingardium Leviosa to assemble a cloud with sun and throw both corn piles into the stand.

    • (Time Travel) Head right, use Wingardium Leviosa to pick up the hammer chisel and chip away the block to get the Brick.

Lake

• Gold Bricks
  1. Use Wingardium Leviosa on the fishing rod to catch some bricks. Assemble two frogs using them - jump onto one of them and swim through all the control gates.

• Student in Peril
  • Destroy three large chests using normal magic and then use Wingardium Leviosa to build a bridge, thanks to which you will save the student.

    • This character token is given to you by the student when you save his life.

    • Get rid of the mole, which after chasing it away with normal magic, will appear three more times.

Fountain Courtyard

  1. Use Dark Magic on the red armor by the door and jump onto the broom. Pick up the studs that appear (blue is the most important) and the brick will appear at the end.

• Student in Peril
  • On the left side of the courtyard, you will find three students using magic on another one - hit each of them with your magic and they should run away.

• Character Tokens
  • Hufflepuff Boy
    • After learning how to handle Mandrakes, use the screamer to break five glass showcases. One of them is a little more hidden inside the passage on the right.
  • Ravenclaw Prefect
    • Use Reducto on the silver armor (after getting the Red Brick), jump to the plunger and clear five yellow spots.

• Red Bricks
  • Collect Ghost Studs
    • Destroy all four statues by the fountain. Then use Wingardium Leviosa to assemble a silver knight armor. The owl is next to the big door.

Quidditch Grounds

  1. Collect both Character Tokens and the Gold Brick will appear.

    • Use Hermione and Crookshanks to dig into the five marked spots.
  • Viktor (Dragon Task)
    • Use Reducto on the locked chest. Afterwards jump onto the broom and fly through the rings.

Herbology Classroom

  1. Go to the end of the room, jump on the flower and from it to the closet. You will reach the Brick without problems.

Herbology Classroom (side room)

Use Reducto at the back of the Herbology Classroom to enter.

• Student in Peril
  • After collection the potion ingredients, pull the chain and free the student.

• Character Tokens

    • Use Reducto on the big, locked chest and then open it with normal magic.

• Red Bricks
  • Singing Mandrake
    • Collect the potion ingredients - the first one is inside the pots by the edge; the second to the right, behind the Mandrake (use the wardrobe to put earmuffs on); the third one is on the plant by the cell - use magic on it to make fruits grow out. Afterwards drink the Strengthening Potion and pull the chain - a few leaves will fall out. Create a staircase using Wingardium Leviosa take all the Mandrakes upstairs and put them into the pots.

Greenhouse

The entrance to the Greenhouse is at the back of the Herbology Classroom - a very big door, hard to miss.

    • Upstairs you will find a chest, from which a Dementor will jump out - get rid of it with Expecto Patronum.

    • Put earmuffs on and grab the Mandrake - break five glass windows.

Clocktower

You will get the key by defeating the Boggart with Riddikulus - the chest is right beside the entrance.

  1. Approach the painting on the right and use magic on it. A gear will appear - place it in the right place with Wingardium Leviosa and finally the brick will appear.
  2. (Time Travel) Use magic on the painting on the left - you will receive some bricks and a hint after assembling them with Wingardium Leviosa. The bricks for the second hint are in the wardrobe on the right - first use Reducto and then a character with a book. Use Wingardium Leviosa to set the clock.

• Student in Peril
  • The student is stuck in a spider-web at the very beginning - destroy the web.

• Character Tokens

    • Speak with the snake on the left - an egg will appear and will be eaten by the second snake. Attack its tail and the token will appear.

    • (Time Travel) You will find it beside, right after turning back time.

    • (Time Travel) On the right you will find a wardrobe - first use Reducto and then a character with a book.

• Red Bricks

    • There are two chests in the room and four clocks inside of them. Place them with Wingardium Leviosa in four columns - match the colors. Afterwards use Immobulus eliminate the pixie by stopping the rotating wheels and creating a staircase. The owl is on the upper level.

Grassy Courtyard

    • There are ten torches in the courtyard. Use magic on them and you will unlock the token.
  • Hufflepuff Prefect
    • Get rid of the pixies with Immobulus and open the chest. Arrange the bricks so you can get to the token.
  • Slytherin Prefect
    • Use Dark Magic on the black chest, plant the seeds and water them with Wingardium Leviosa. Jump onto the flower - the second character will use Wingardium Leviosa and you will fly up.

Owlery

The entrance key is inside Boggart's chest in Grassy Courtyard. To create an elevator, use Wingardium Leviosa to throw the grain from the chest, assemble a platform, move the egg through the maze, and break it with magic. In order to make the lift after turning back time, use a spell on the owl on the painting on the left.

  1. On the second floor, use Wingardium Leviosa on the feather lying on the shelf on the painting and assemble the scattered bricks with Wingardium Leviosa.
  2. (Time Travel) Put the letter boxes into the right places - you will find adequately colored bricks on them.

• Students in Peril
  1. Approach the two owls holding the large scroll. As soon as you approach, the owls will unroll the scroll and free the student.
  2. (Time Travel) The student is stuck in the middle of the room, inside the owl feeder - use normal magic on.

• Character Tokens

    • Use Wingardium Leviosa on the bridge of the folder.
  • Cho Chang*
    • On the second floor you will find a gramophone - use Wingardium Leviosa to play three vinyl records on it.

    • (Time Travel) Use Reducto on the closet on the right, then use Wingardium Leviosa to knock down the bricks and use Wingardium Leviosa again to assemble a plunger. Jump on it and clean five white spots from the floor.
  • Hermione (Hogwarts)
    • (Time Travel) On the second floor, use normal magic on the green plant and repeat the gramophone with Wingardium Leviosa.

    • (Time Travel) Use Wingardium Leviosa to repair the camera on the second floor and take the Red Brick out of the screen.

Charms Hallway

  1. Right next to the entrance to the 2nd Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom you will find some bricks - use Wingardium Leviosa to make a huge "H" letter out of them - the bricks automatically insert themselves after pointing at the right spot. Then use Reducto on the plate and send Scabbers/Crookshanks into the tunnel. Then, use Wingardium Leviosa to repair the tunnel beforehand.

  • Use Wingardium Leviosa to give the apple from the high shelf to the student.

• Character Tokens
  • Gryffindor Girl
    • One of the students is holding a token - use magic on him twice. As he runs towards the basket, use Wingardium Leviosa on it - a snake will come out and the student will get frightened.

    • At the top of the room, past the Transfiguration Classroom, use magic on the three golden statues.

    • There are eight torches in the room. Use Wingardium Leviosa on each of them.

    • After putting on the earmuffs in the closet next to the Transfiguration Classroom, take the Mandrake and break six glass display cases with it.
