Gotham Streets is the first villain level in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Batman: The Videogame. It is the first villain level of The Bullion Dollar Riddle.

Story

At their secret base, the Riddler's Group is having fun until the Riddler arrives. When he arrives, he teaches his group a plan to steal gold from Gotham Bullion Fortress. To do so, he shows blueprints indicating that he will need an ice cannon to make a bridge, some seeds to make a tall tree, and a key to open the door.

To begin his plan, the Riddler recruits Clayface and Two-Face for his first objective, which is to obtain a key to Gotham Bank. To get there, they cross the streets of Gotham and sewers while fighting against Police Officers. Arriving at Gotham Bank, they fight off Security Guards and open the safe to find the key. After finding the key, the Riddler gives it to Two-Face, but Clayface is excited about all the money he finds in the safe.

Walkthrough

You start in an indoor parking lot. Go to the right and you will see a red padlock. Use Two-Face to place a detonator and detonate it to destroy the lock and reach the other side of the fences. Two Security Guards will attack you. Defeat them, place a detonator near another red lock and detonate it to destroy the lock and open the next door. Pull a lever to build some golden handles and pull them with Clayface to destroy a wall and reach a small room. In that small room, build another lever and pull it to build two more levers outside. Have both characters pull them to open the door that will take you to the next area.

In the next area, defeat two policemen and use Clayface to pull a box with golden handles in the background. Get on it and use the Riddler to jump to the high ledge. Next, build a Villain Panel and use it to build a ladder for the second character. Continue to the right, drop down from the ledge and use Clayface to push a box with golden handles to reveal a red lid. Use Two-Face to place a detonator on it and detonate it to destroy it and reach the next area.

In the next area, use Two-Face to place a detonator near a red panel and detonate it to destroy the panel and build a cap on the pipe that releases the poisonous water. Use the Riddler to cross the gap on the right and press a button on the wall to raise a bridge for the second character. Build two levers on the right and have both characters pull them to lower a ladder. Climb it to reach the other side of the previous area.

On the other side of the previous area, defeat a policeman and use Two-Face to place a detonator near a red box and detonate it to destroy the box and build a grapple point. Use the Riddler on it to reach the walkway above, build a lever and pull it to build a ladder for the second character. Use Two-Face to place a detonator near another red box and detonate it to destroy the box and build some golden handles. Pull them with Clayface to destroy a wall and reveal a handle. Pull it to build a lever and pull the lever to open the door below. Go through the newly opened door to reach the next area.

In the next area, go left and you will have to place three blue bricks on a build-it machine. Two guards will notice you. Defeat them and use Two-Face to place a detonator near a red box on the right and detonate it to destroy the box and build a grapple point. Use the Riddler on it to reach the platform above and pull a lever to reveal the first blue brick below. Grab it and place it in the build-it machine. Go back to the right and use Clayface to pull a box with orange handles. Stand on the grapple point of that box and use the Riddler to reach the roof above. On that roof, build a lever and pull it to reveal the second blue brick. Grab it too and place it in the build-it machine. Then go left and a guard will come out of a door. Defeat him and use Clayface to pull some golden handles and destroy a wall to reveal the third blue brick. Grab it and place it in the build-it machine. By placing the three blue bricks in the build-it machine, you will build dynamites at the bank doors. Build a TNT detonator and press it to blow up the bank doors. A guard will come out of them. Defeat him and go to the final area.

In the final area, go left and a couple of guards will attack you. Defeat them and use Two-Face to place a detonator near a red panel and detonate it to destroy the panel and reveal a box with golden handles. Upon doing this, another pair of guards will come to the right. Defeat them as well and use Clayface to pull the box with golden handles and climb onto it. Then, use the Riddler to jump to the ledge above and pull a lever to build a Villain Panel below. Use the newly built panel to open the safe and finish the level.

Collectables

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

• Minikit Canisters
  1. (F) At the start of the level, use a Hero character on a Hero Panel to raise a metal wall. Then, use an immune to toxins character to walk across an acid in the lower left corner. Build a Villain Panel and use it to open a container. Inside that container, you will find a suit swapper. Use it with Robin or Nightwing to put on the Magno Suit. Exit the container with an immune to toxins character and use the Magno Suit to climb the metal wall you raised and reach the ledge above. There, use a character with super strength to pull some golden handles to the right and reveal a wall button. Press it to build a gold door. Use the Gold Key on it to open the door with this minikit.
  2. (F) Find three Riddler tokens throughout the level to get this minikit:
     1. Inside the container where you find the Magno Suit in the first area, you will find a red box. Use an explosive character to destroy it and reveal this Riddler token.
     2. On the right side of the first area, destroy a construction sign to reveal this Riddler token.
     3. On the right side of the second area, destroy a dumpster in the upper right corner to build a silver door. Use the Silver Key on it to reveal a small red box. Destroy it with an explosive character to reveal this Riddler token.
  3. (F) In the third area, use an immune to toxins character to walk across the acid on the left. On that acid, build a button and step on it to build a Hero Panel. Use a Hero character on it to open a door that will take you to a special area. In that special area, use an explosive character to destroy a small red box and build a glowing target. Use a character with boomerang to turn them green and open the bars on the right. Build a yellow platform for it to go through the bars. Next, build a handle and pull it to bring the platform you built back up from the bars on the left. This time, the platform will contain this minikit.
  4. (F) On the right side of the second area, use an explosive character to destroy some red boards and build a gold door. Use the Gold Key on it to open the door with this minikit.
  5. (F) On the high central ledge of the final area, use an explosive character to destroy a red box and build a Hero Panel. Use a Hero character on it to build this minikit on the left.

• Clayface Joker Card
  • (S) In the lower left corner of the fourth area, destroy a cone to reveal this Joker Card.

Unlockables

After completing the level, you unlock a Riddler Goon and Harvey Dent. In the Batcave you can buy a Policeman and a Two-Face Bodyguard. In Arkham Asylum you will be able to start Power-Crazed Penguin on the villain side and The Joker's Last Laugh on the villain side (only if you've completed their hero versions) or continue to Ice Cream Factory.
