Gotham Streets (Hero) is the first hero bonus level in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Batman: The Videogame.
How to unlock[]
The Red Power Brick for this level is found in the Ice Cream Factory level. This Red Power Brick can be obtained from both the hero and villain sides. In the center of the first area, you will find a red lock. Use an explosive character to destroy it and open the doors on the other side of the fences. On the other side of the fences, use a suit swapper with Robin or Nightwing to put on the Magno Suit. Go back to the main side, go right and destroy a trash can to build a gold door. Use the Gold Key on it to open the nearby fences. Behind those fences, pull a lever to open some bars and use a character with super strength to push a box with golden handles and build a grapple point. Use a character with grappling hook on it to reach the walkway above, go left and destroy a gray box to build another grapple point. Use it to reach the left platform and then use a glide character to reach the right platform. On that platform, build a metal wall and climb it with the Magno Suit to reach the highest roof of the factory. There, use an explosive character to destroy two red chimneys and reveal two buttons. Step on them to open a gate with this Red Power Brick on top of the factory. To reach it, use the Magno Suit to climb a metal wall to the right of the factory and use a character with grappling hook on a grapple point to reach the high right ledge. There, use a small character to enter a hatch and jump onto the walkway on the left to reach this level's Red Power Brick. Once you obtain the Red Power Brick, you can purchase this level at the Batcave for 20,000 studs.
Walkthrough[]
You start off automatically driving through the streets of Gotham. Your goal will be to reach the end before time runs out. You start with 25 seconds, but you can grab +3 coins to slow down the time. For each checkpoint you pass, you will get 15 seconds of extended time. The layout of this level is similar to the Batmobile Chase (Hero) level, only you will have to get to the end quickly and there is no boss to defeat. When you reach the end, the level will end. For each checkpoint passed, you will get an additional stud cost per 1000. For each bonus time, you will get another additional stud cost per 15,000.
