Gotham Docks is the sixth hero level in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Batman: The Videogame. It is the first hero level of Power-Crazed Penguin.

Story

In their secret cave in the Arctic World, the Penguin's Group is having a good time until their leader, the Penguin, arrives. Interrupting their pastime, the Penguin shows them a Penguin Minion. Killer Croc thinks there's nothing special about the Penguin Minion. The Penguin then presses a button on a remote control to prove to Killer Croc that the Penguin Minion is aggressive. He then shows his plan to his group. His plan is to build a machine that will make a total of millions of Penguin Minions, and then threaten Gotham City.

Meanwhile, at Wayne Manor, Bruce Wayne is reading a book while Tim Drake is making his hero suit. Their pastimes are interrupted when they see the Bat Signal through the window, so they head to the elevator that takes them to the Batcave. They put on their hero suits to become Batman and Robin again and get into their sea vehicles. The duo head to the Gotham Docks, where they help two police officers defeat two Penguin Goons. Chasing Bane and the Penguin, the former attempts to catch them. Eventually, the dynamic duo and Bane enter into a battle where the duo wins by locking him in a cage. After locking him up, Batman takes some photos of Bane, as Bane swears revenge on him and his friend Robin. The duo return to their sea vehicles to catch their next villain, unaware that the Penguin is spying on them.

Walkthrough

You start on a wooden dock. Go to the front sidewalk, go up the ramp on the right and then the front ramp. You will see two Penguin Goons attacking two Policemen. Defeat both Penguin Goons to help your allies. After defeating them, destroy a small white box to reveal a grapple point. Use Batman on it to reach the roof of the building on the left. On that roof, push a box until it falls to the ground to destroy it and build a hatch. Enter it with Robin, build a tightrope to the right and walk along it to cross the gap. On the walkway on the other side, go to the foreground and drop off the building to reach the other side of the fence. Destroy a box to build a lever and pull it to open the fence gate so Batman can get to the other side. Destroy a gray box on the right to build another grapple point and use it with Batman to lower a bridge. Cross the bridge and continue to the right. You will see two Penguin Goons coming out of a garage. Defeat them and pull a lever to reopen the garage door. Inside the garage, build a suit swapper and use it on Robin to put on the Bio Suit. With the Bio Suit, go south and on the deck of a ship you will see a build-it machine, meaning you will have to place three blue bricks there. The first blue brick will be found on top of an acid on the left. Walk on the acid with Robin, grab the blue brick and place it in the build-it machine. The second blue brick can be found inside a gray box on the right. Destroy the gray box to reveal the blue brick, grab it and place it in the build-it machine. The third blue brick can be found on the roof of the building in the background. To get to it, pull a box to the right of the building. Then, get on it with Batman and double jump to reach the roof of the building. Go left to find this blue brick. Grab it and place it in the build-it machine. By placing the three blue bricks in the build-it machine, you can build a suit swapper. Use it with Batman to put on the Demolition Suit. With the Demolition Suit, go to the door with the red padlock and place a detonator near the padlock. Then, detonate it to destroy the lock and open the door that will take you to the next area.

In the next area, go right and two Goons will notice you. Defeat them and continue to the right. You'll see the Penguin and Bane using a crane to make a container block the path. Suddenly, a door will open on the left, where a pair of Penguin Goons will emerge. Head back left, defeat the Penguin Goons, and go through the newly opened door. In the zone behind the door, use Batman to destroy a red lock on the left and open a green container with three white boxes. Destroy the northernmost crate to build a suit swapper. Use it with Robin to put on the Magno Suit. Using the Magno Suit, exit the container and climb a metal wall between the green and yellow containers. Go to the roof of the yellow container and destroy three gray boxes to build a lever. Pull it to build a grapple point below. Use the grapple point with Batman and push a box to the ground to destroy it and build a ladder for Robin. Enter a small room and have both characters pull two levers to activate a train. The train will push the blue container into the background. Exit the room, drop down from the ledge and go back to the right. With the container pushed, go into the tunnel on the right to reach the next area.

In the next area, build a pole point and use it with Robin to cross an acid. On the other side, build a box to build a button and step on it to raise a platform for Batman. Then, continue north and you'll see a Goon using a forklift to destroy a garage door, only to end up crashing into the ship on the right. Two Penguin Goons will emerge from the destroyed door. Defeat them and destroy two boxes to build a grapple point. Use it with Batman to lower a bridge to the right and reach the deck of the ship. Two Penguin Goons will come from the right. Defeat them and destroy a box in the lower left corner of the ship to build a lever attached to a forklift. Pull the lever to activate the elevator and have it destroy a control machine in the background, allowing you to build another lever. Pull that lever to cause a crane to make a pink container lower a ramp to the right. Cross the ramp to reach the zone on the right. In that zone, head to the path in the lower right corner and you will see that the pink container you used to lower the ramp will be behind you so you will not be able to return. Bane will then use his super strength to push the container and try to crush you. Run to the path on the right and destroy some brown boxes to reach a wide zone. Bane will then climb onto the containers above and start throwing things at you. Watch the shadows of objects to know where they will fall and prevent any of them from falling on you. When Bane runs out of objects to throw at you, he will move to the right and push another container in an attempt to crush you. Build a ladder on the left and climb it. Bane will then run to the right and fall into a hole. Go right and jump down into the hole where Bane fell to reach the final area.

In the final area, you will face Bane in a boss fight. Since he's super strong, your regular attacks won't be able to hurt him. To hurt him, get far enough away from him and go towards the dented door of the red container. When you do this, Bane will try to charge at you. Dodge him quickly and he will destroy the dented door, removing a heart. Then, go into a hatch with Robin and build a lever for a crane to hold a box. Switch to Batman, move away from Bane and stand near the blue container in front of the red one so Bane can charge at you. Dodge him and he will crash into the blue container, losing another heart. While he is stunned, quickly pull the lever with Robin to cause the box to fall on him, removing his third heart. Then, continue away from Bane and head towards the dented door of the green container. Bane will charge at you again. Dodge him and when he hits the green dented door, he will destroy it and lose another heart. Enter another hatch with Robin and build another lever. Continue away from Bane and stand near the black pipes on the right wall. Bane will charge at you again. Dodge him and he will lose another heart when he hits the pipes on the right. While he is stunned, quickly pull the lever with Robin to cause steam to come out of the pipes and Bane to lose his second to last heart. After this, the crane that was holding a box before will now hold a cage. Move away from Bane once again and stand near the blue container in front of the red one. Bane will charge towards you once again. Dodge him and when he hits the container, he will lose his last heart and be stunned. Enter the left hatch with Robin and quickly pull the lever to cause the cage to fall on Bane, trapping him and ending the level.

Collectables

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

• Minikit Canisters
  1. (F) Find three Riddler tokens throughout the level to get this minikit:
     1. On the left side of the first area, you will find a silver door. Use the Silver Key on it to open a garage door. In that garage, use a character with super strength to pull a pair of golden handles and destroy a wall to reveal this Riddler token. This Riddler token is on top of an acid, so you need to use an immune to toxins character to get it.
     2. In the first area, destroy a gray box to the left of the third blue brick to reveal this Riddler token.
     3. In the second area, go down a ladder on the right side of the edge of the train tracks to reach a wooden dock. On that dock, build a platform to reveal this Riddler token on another platform to the left. Jump across the platforms to reach this Riddler token.
  2. (F) On the right side of the first area, you'll find another silver door. Use the Silver Key on it to open another garage door and reveal this minikit.
  3. (F) On the roof with the third blue brick of the first area, you'll find a Villain Panel. Use it with a villain character to build a pole point. Use an acrobat character on it to reach the high platform on the left. Then go left and jump down to the balcony below. On that balcony, use an explosive character to destroy a red box and build a pair of golden handles. Pull them with a character with super strength to destroy a wall and enter a room where you will find this minikit on the left.
  4. (F) After the train pushes the blue container into the second area, build a ladder to the right of the blue container. Climb the ladder and jump onto the roof of the train on the left. Then, jump to the ledge in front, build a Villain Panel and use it with a villain character to build a pole point. Use an acrobat character on it to reach the ledge on the left. On that ledge, use an explosive character to destroy a red lock and destroy a dented door, opening a freezer container. Use an immune to cold character to avoid freezing in the container and destroy three pieces of ice to reveal this minikit.
  5. (F) When you reach the right zone in the third area, destroy a box in front of you to build a silver door. Use the Silver Key on it to reveal a small white box. Destroy it to reveal this minikit.

• Gotham Docks (Hero) Red Power Brick
  • (S) When you reach the far right zone in the third area, go to the left of the hole and destroy a box in the top left corner to reveal this Red Power Brick.

• Batgirl Joker Card
  • (F) At the start of the third area, use an immune to toxins character to walk across the acid and destroy a barrel in the alcove in front to reveal this Joker Card.

• Mr. Zsasz
  • While playing this level in Villain Hunt mode, you will find this character on the roof with the fourth minikit.

Unlockables

After completing the level, you unlock a Penguin Bodyguard. In the Batcave you can buy Bane. You will also be able to continue to The Rooftops. After collecting the Red Power Brick, you can purchase Gotham Docks (Hero). After finding Mr. Zsasz in Villain Hunt mode, you can purchase him in the Batcave.
