Gotham Bullion Fortress is the fifth hero level in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Batman: The Videogame. It is the fifth and final hero level of The Bullion Dollar Riddle.

Story

Back at the Batcave, Robin drinks coffee given to him by Alfred while Batman opens all the boxes with clues and builds the Gotham Bullion Fortress. Assuming that the Riddler and Two-Face went there, the duo heads there and notices an ice bridge. They cross it and spend a long time infiltrating the fortress until they find the Riddler and Two-Face. They manage to lock up Two-Face, while the Riddler tries to escape with the stolen money. Due to his good luck in chasing him, Batman throws the Riddler onto a conveyor belt, where a crusher fuses him with a gold bar.

With the last two villains of the group defeated, the duo takes them to Arkham Asylum. There, two Police Officers put the Riddler and Two-Face in their respective cells, while Clayface and Mr. Freeze look at them depressed.

Walkthrough

You start on the shore of the Gotham Bullion Fortress. Go right and two Riddler Goons will jump down off a ledge to attack you. Defeat them, climb the ledges on the right, build a grapple point and use it with Batman to cross a gap. Build a tightrope so Robin can cross the gap and continue to the right. Jump onto the dock and two Riddler Goons will come by on a boat. Defeat them and use a suit swapper on the boat in the foreground to put on Robin's Bio Suit. Then, use Batman to jump to the high ledge in the background, build a stunt pole, and use Robin on a pole point to swing up to the high ledge. Enter a hatch to reach a higher ledge, go to the left of an acid and push a crate to the edge to knock it over and build a grapple point for Batman. With Batman on the highest ledge, continue to the left and two Riddler Goons will surround you. Defeat them as well and double jump with Batman to cross the gap on the left. On the other side of the gap, quickly step on six square buttons to turn them green and build a pole point on the previous side. This pole point allows Robin to reach the other side. Use another pole point with Robin to reach an even higher ledge and build a grapple point so Batman can reach the ledge. Go right and three Goons will attack you. Defeat them, continue to the right and climb a ladder in the background to reach the higher ledge. There, build a lever and pull it while the other character pulls another one to open the door that will take you to the next area.

In the next area, use Batman on a grapple point to knock down a crate and build a hatch. Enter it with Robin and build a ladder for Batman to climb up. Enter another hatch to the left of a dollar sign and step on a button to open the gate so Batman can cross the fence. Upon doing this, two Two-Face Goons will come to attack you. Defeat them and have both characters step on a large button to open the door that will take you to the next area.

In the next area, two Riddler Goons will come from a safe door. Go through a door frame and defeat the two goons. After defeating them, use Robin to enter a hatch on the left and destroy a dark purple box to build a lever. Pull it to build a grapple point for Batman. With Batman on the high left ledge, double jump across the gap on the right and use a Hero Panel to extend a bridge for Robin. Have both characters step on two buttons to open the door that will take you to the next area.

In the next area, use a suit swapper to put on Batman's Glide Suit. Then, destroy four boxes in the center to reveal two buttons. Have both characters step on them to build a hatch. Enter it with Robin and build a ladder so Batman can reach the ledge. Two Riddler Goons will come from the ledges on the right. Defeat them, climb the ladder with Batman and glide to the ledge on the right. You'll see the Riddler and Two-Face escaping in an elevator. To chase them down, build a suit swapper and use it on Robin to put on the Magno Suit. Climb the ladder you built and climb a metal wall to reach a higher ledge. Jump to the ledge on the right, destroy a dark purple box to build a lever, and pull it to build a ladder for Batman. Wait for Batman to reach the ledge, switch to him and glide through the gap on the right. Use a suit swapper to put on the Demolition Suit, place a detonator near two red panels, and detonate it to destroy the panels and knock down a tower so Robin can cross the gap. Two Two-Face Goons will come from the ledge above. Defeat them and have both characters step on a large button to lower a ladder. Climb the ladder, build another one, and climb to reach a higher ledge. Double jump with Batman to cross the gap on the left and use a grapple point to knock down a dollar sign for Robin. Two Two-Face Goons will come from above. Defeat them and have both characters pull two levers to open the door that will take you to the next area.

In the next area, you'll face Two-Face in a boss fight. The Riddler will be inside a room and will send two Riddler Goons to attack you. Defeat them and a claw will hold a bag of money. You can move it by pulling two levers. The one on the left moves it to the left and the one on the right moves it to the right. The bright target in the center makes it fall. Two-Face will also move in an attempt to avoid being hit. Place the money bag on top of Two-Face and use Batman's Batarang or Robin's Birdarang to turn the target green and drop the bag on top of Two-Face. After this, two Riddler Goons will come and Two-Face will shoot explosive bullets at you. Defeat the goons and drop a bag of money on Two-Face again. Two more Riddler Goons will attack you. Defeat them while dodging Two-Face's explosive bullets. Finally, you'll have to lock Two-Face in a cage. Do the same thing you did with the two bags of money to lock Two-Face in the cage. After this, the Riddler will escape through a duct. Use Batman to place a detonator near a red box and detonate it to destroy the box and build a ladder. Climb the ladder and go through the duct where the Riddler escaped to reach the final area.

In the final area, the Riddler will run away to the right and pull a lever to activate a conveyor belt and a crusher. Cross to the right of the conveyor belt being careful not to get crushed, and remove two hearts from the Riddler. After removing two of his hearts, he will use a grapple point to reach a high ledge and pull another lever to destroy it. This will also activate two more conveyor belts to the right. Cross to the right of the first of these two conveyor belts avoiding being crushed. Then jump onto the next conveyor belt, wait for the crusher to come down, and then jump on it. Wait for it to rise, jump to the high ledge and go left to meet up with the Riddler again. Take away two of his hearts and he will use another grapple point to reach the highest ledge and pull another lever to destroy the grapple point. This will also activate two claw belts in the front and raise a ladder for Robin. Build a hatch and enter it with Robin to cross the first belt. Then pull a lever to deactivate the belt and use Batman to reach the high ledge on the left. Double jump again to reach a ledge with a lever and pull it to deactivate the second belt. Have both characters pull two levers to activate an elevator that will take you to the highest ledge. Go to the right of this ledge and then into the foreground to encounter the Riddler once again. Take away his last two hearts to finish the level.

Collectables

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

• Minikit Canisters
  1. (F) On the ledge with the six square buttons, use a glide character to glide across the gap on the left and reach a distant ledge. There, build a grapple point and use a character with grappling hook on it to reach a high ledge. Then, use an immune to toxins character to destroy a box on top of an acid and reveal this minikit.
  2. (F) Find three Riddler tokens throughout the level to get this minikit:
     1. In the second area, use a character with super strength to pull two golden handles and reveal a silver door. Use the Silver Key on it to reveal pieces on the ledge above. Use a high-jumper character to jump over some pipes and reach the ledge. Then, use the pieces to build a grapple point and use a character with grappling hook on it to reach a higher ledge. On that ledge, destroy a dark purple box to reveal this Riddler token.
     2. On the highest right ledge of the fourth area, use a high-jumper character to reach some pipes and use an acrobat character on a pole point to swing to the high platform on the right. There, destroy a white box to reveal this Riddler token.
     3. After defeating Two-Face in the fifth area, instead of chasing the Riddler, enter the room where he was and destroy a white box to reveal this Riddler token.
  3. (F) On the high left ledge of the third area, use an explosive character to destroy a red box and build a blue door. Use the Blue Key on it to open a door to a special area. In that special area, quickly step on 16 square buttons to turn them green and reveal this minikit.
  4. (F) On the high left platform of the fourth area, use a character with super strength to pull two golden handles and enter a room where you'll find this minikit on the left.
  5. (S) At the start of the final area, hop on top of the first crusher and jump to the ledge in front of it to find this minikit.

• The Riddler Joker Card
  • (S) At the end of the final area, destroy a white box in the foreground to reveal this Joker Card.

• Dr. Hugo Strange
  • While playing this level in Villain Hunt mode, you will find this character inside the room where you will find the fourth minikit in the fourth area.

Unlockables

After completing the level, you unlock a Riddler Bodyguard. In the Batcave you can buy The Riddler, Two-Face and Catwoman. In Arkham Asylum you will be able to start The Bullion Dollar Riddle on the villain side. After finding Dr. Hugo Strange in Villain Hunt mode, you can purchase him in the Batcave.
