Reach Albatross Island without Being Seen[]
- [Upon receiving a message from Frank]
- Frank Honey: Hey, Chase! I just saw you on the TV news! You looked a little pasty... Did you get a lead?
- Chase McCain: Yeah, straight to Albatross Prison. D'you know how I can get there?
- Frank Honey: Ooh, the Chief won't like that. He's closed the file on Rex's escape.
- Chase McCain: What if the Chief didn't know?
- Frank Honey: I dunno. I'll go ask him...
- Chase McCain: No, wait! Look, is there a way of getting there without the Chief finding out?
- Frank Honey: Okay, there's one way you can do it. First, you get on the ferry at the jetty behind the police station...
- Chase McCain: And then...?
- Frank Honey: You don't tell the Chief about it.
- Chase McCain: You - Thanks, Frank. I'll see you later.
- Frank Honey: Ok, good luck! And if you speak to Ellie tell her I said "hi"! [He cuts the call]
Reunion with Bluffbeard[]
- [Chase runs towards Captain Bluffbeard]
- Chase McCain: Bluffbeard?!
- Captain Bluffbeard: Chase McCain! Aar! It's been a long time!
- Chase McCain: I saw you this morning.
- Captain Bluffbeard: Aar! It's been six hours!
- Chase McCain: What are you doing here?
- Captain Bluffbeard: I decided on a change of career. I'm now captain of the ferry which takes rom coves and no-good ne'er-do-wells over to Albatross Prison.
- Chase McCain: Great! The ferry! Where is it?
- Captain Bluffbeard: I sunk it. I don't suppose you could build a new one for me, could you?
Updated Scanner[]
- [Upon receiving a message from Ellie]
- Chase McCain: Hey, Ellie. Do we have any Super bricks out the back of the police station? I need to rebuild the ferry.
- Ellie Phillips: Has Frank been driving it again?
- Chase McCain: Surprisingly, no.
- Ellie Phillips: Huh. Okay, let me just update your scanning software again. Right, you should be able to use your communicator as a data scanner now, it'll show up any Super bricks nearby. After I hang up, just tap the data scanner button on your communicator and follow the instructions.
- Chase McCain: Thanks, Ellie! [He cuts the call]
Building the Ferry[]
- [If the player takes a while to build the Ferry, Bluffbeard can say this dialogue]
- Captain Bluffbeard: I can't help but feel I should be a pirate. I've got the voice, after all. Ah, wait, I'm allergic to parrot feathers, aren't I?
Built Ferry[]
- Captain Bluffbeard: Aar! You've saved my hide and no mistake! Hop onboard and we'll set sail for Albatross Prison!
- Chase McCain: Uh... O-kay...
- Captain Bluffbeard: You never know, we might even make it there. [He gets on the Ferry]
Tracking Blue[]
- [Chase notices a Prison Guard sleeping with his eyes open]
- Chase McCain: It's nice to see they take security so seriously. I guess I'll just let myself in and then track down Blue.
Recover the Basketball[]
- Prisoner 1: Yo, policeman! You belong in the law court, not our basketball court.
- Prisoner 2: Hey, nice work man. You be usin' the language real good.
- Prisoner 1: I sure am do!
- Chase McCain: If that's a basketball court, where's your basketball?
- Prisoner 1: A buncha' reeeeal mean bullies took it off us.
- Prisoner 2: They are not nice.
- Chase McCain: If I get it back for you, will you let me in?
- Prisoner 1: We'll see. I ain't promisin' nothin'.
- Prisoner 2: Aw man, that's a double negative. You have let me down.
Fight against the Prisoners[]
- [If Chase is slow to arrest one of the five prisoners, one of them can say this]
- Prisoner 3: Haha! You ain't got a chance!
- [When arresting a prisoner, the detainee can say these phrases]
- Prisoner 4: Sheesh! This is not my day!
- Prisoner 3: My mom said it would end this way.
Basketball Recovered[]
- Prisoner 1: You got it! Alright, fair's fair. In you go.
Meeting Blue[]
- [Chase walks over to Blue, who is helping a Prisoner who is having trouble with a fishing rod]
- Chase McCain: Hey, are you Blue?
- Blue Whittaker: I've had better days, sonny.
- [The Prisoner with the fishing rod leaves]
- Chase McCain: I'm Chase. I heard you might know about...Rex Fury?
- Blue Whittaker: REX FURY! That man owes me!
- Chase McCain: For helping him escape?
- Blue Whittaker: Why would I do that?! Rex was my biggest customer until he disappeared, owing me for a hot tub! D'you know how difficult it is to smuggle one of them in? Hmm. Speakin' of which... Careful with Heywood's new car!
- Prisoner 5: Sure, Blue!
- Chase McCain: So how did Rex escape?
- Blue Whittaker: Well, that's the question on everyone's lips. 'Cept no one's allowed in his cell to find out. Not even the police.
- Chase McCain: That's not right...
- Blue Whittaker: But... we both want to see Rex back in here, so I've got an idea... Get some gear from the cupboard in my cell. [He shows Chase a croissant] Then I'll call you with more information on this.
- Chase McCain: That's a croissant.
- Blue Whittaker: We aren't allowed phones in here.
- [Chase tries to eat the croissant, but Blue interrupts him]
- Blue Whittaker: The phone's inside it! Put your number in!
- Chase McCain: Oh! [He puts his number on the croissant phone] There. [He hands the croissant phone back to Blue] I hope this plan of yours works, Blue. [He comes and goes Heywood]
- Heywood: Uh, are you free, man?
- Blue Whittaker: No! No, I am not Freeman. His lawyers might be watchin'. What's the matter, Heywood? You don't like your new car?
- Heywood: Car?! [He vomits a tire from his car] Oh. [He coughs]
- [A car sound plays]
Chaos in the Prison Cell Block[]
- [Chase enters the prison cell block, where he finds six prisoners causing chaos. Two prisoners play with Pat Patterson's hat]
- Pat Patterson: That's my hat, you pair! Ah, forget it! I'm just too old to be chasin' young whippersnappers about!
- Chase McCain: D'you need a hand?
- Pat Patterson: Couldn't hurt. Think you're up to gettin' all those fellers back in their cells?
- Chase McCain: All in a day's work.
Chaos Stopped[]
- [After arresting the six prisoners]
- Pat Patterson: Good work! So, is there any way I can help you, officer?
- Chase McCain: Yeah, I need to check a prisoner's cell for something. He's called Blue?
- Pat Patterson: [Laughs] Blue? He's been here almost as long as me. Always sees I get some of that cake his mom bakes him. It kinda tastes funny. [He opens the door to a cell with a closet that keeps to Robber suit] There ya go. I'm off for a nap. Need ta stay alert, that's why I have at least four a day... [He leaves]
Imprisoned Prisoners[]
- [If the player approaches one of the prisoners in their respective cells, they can say some of these phrases]
- Prisoner 1: I am really regrettin' my life choices about now. I shoulda stayed in school.
- Prisoner 2: C'mon! Give a guy a second chance! I'm not a bad person really. C'mon, I'll prove it - jus' le me outta here a second...
- Prisoner 3: Lemme outta here! I'm innocent! My lawyer will hear about this!
- Prisoner 4: I am gonna get you back for this, policeman. It's a good thing these bars are between you an' me!
- Prisoner 5: You can't keep me in here! Not on a sunny day! Aw c'mon! I'm gonna miss my stories on the tee-vee!
- Prisoner 6: You can't keep me in here forever! Ah, least it's better than solitary.
Way to Get to Rex's Cell[]
- [Upon receiving a message from Blue]
- Blue Whittaker: You get in there?
- Chase McCain: Yeah.
- Blue Whittaker: Ok. I gotta be quick. There are guards near me. Once you've got the equipment, you need to get into the Warden's office.
- Chase McCain: What?!
- Blue Whittaker: It's the only way to Rex's cell! Wait! Sssh!
- Prisoner 1: [off-screen] Yeah, that's Blue.
- Prisoner 2: [off-screen] He's the one that talks to pastries... Cuckoo!
- Blue Whittaker: Okay. Now go! The door's at the right side of the third story. And you better hope the Warden's not in there! [He cuts the call]
Ignoring a Really Important Case[]
- [Upon receiving a message from Frank]
- Frank Honey: Chase! This is really important!
- Chase McCain: What is it?!
- Frank Honey: So d'you think Ellie likes me or not?
- Chase McCain: Fraaaank! I'm at the prison, remember? Trying to find out how Rex escaped?
- Frank Honey: Oh... Sorry.
- Chase McCain: ...But yeah, I think she does.
- Frank Honey: Sweet! [He cuts the call]
Locking up Warden[]
- [Upon receiving a message from Blue]
- Blue Whittaker: Chase? You in?
- Chase McCain: Yeah! The Warden just went through a door on the other side of his office.
- Blue Whittaker: That's his private bathroom. Block the door! The Warden has a hidden elevator to Rex's Cell block in his office... ...but he's not gonna let you snoop around for it!
- Chase McCain: Gotcha! [He cuts the call]
Locked Warden[]
- [When building some plungers to lock Warden in his bathroom]
- Chase McCain: Ha! He won't get out of there in a hurry!
- Warden Stonewall: [on screen] Hello? Is someone out there? [He takes out his cell phone to call Dunby] No! I told you! I haven't let anyone look in there! Not even that fool, Dunby! I don't want you back here either! No-oh... Of course I didn't call you from a toilet... Gotta go! [He tries to leave the private bathroom, but the plungers on the door prevent him; off-screen] Who is that?! [The shaking of the door causes a painting to fall and reveal a safe]
- [If the player approaches the locked bathroom, Warden may say this]
- Warden Stonewall: [off-screen] What are you doing?! Are you looking in my safe? Don't touch my records - they're alphabetized! You better not be messing with my records! Especially not the opera ones! Somebody! Open this door!
Romantic Song[]
- [Chase places the record in a gramophone, playing a romantic song. The scene changes to Warden locked in his bathroom]
- Warden Stonewall: What's happening out there?!
- [Chase presses a button to play the romantic song throughout the prison and sits in the office chair. The prisoners notice the song]
- Blue Whittaker: [Imagining] I have no idea to this day what those two Italian ladies were singing about. I also don't know why those guys are dancing together. And how did he get that saucepan on his head? Hmm... There is a lot I don't know.
- Warden Stonewall: [He hits the door quickly trying to escape] Let me out, Lemme out!!!
- [Chase turns up the volume of the song, causing the gramophone and radio to explode and stopping the song]
Elevator Behind a Painting[]
- [When opening the painting]
- Chase McCain: Ah, the ol' secret entrance behind a painting. What a classic!
Arrival at Rex's Cell[]
- [When entering Rex's cell]
- Chase McCain: This must be Rex's cell!
- [When approaching the Hot Tubs]
- Chase McCain: Hey, guys! Does Rex know you're using his hot tub?
- Hot Tub McCreedy: You are gonna get trounced!
- Hot Tub Harry: I will thump you!
- [When approach the jukebox on the right]
- Chase McCain: A jukebox in a jail cell? I guess that means it's full of criminal records.
- [If the jukebox is turned on, Chase will dance to a song, either from the game or the song Ode to Joy]
- Chase McCain: I'm not sure what's more despicable about Rex. His crimes, or his taste in music.
- [After using the percussion instrument]
- Chase McCain: That's right. It's not just police beats that I'm good at.
Saying Goodbye to Blue[]
- [Upon receiving a message from Blue]
- Blue Whittaker: So, did you manage to get into the Warden's private elevator?
- Chase McCain: Yeah... Wow, Rex's cell is nicer than my apartment!
- Blue Whittaker: Mostly down to me - after the Warden made sure he got the biggest room in the prison.
- Chase McCain: Hmm...
- Blue Whittaker: What d'you expect to find in there, anyhow?
- Chase McCain: I figure he was probably in a hurry when he busted out of here, so he might have left some evidence behind.
- Blue Whittaker: Good luck catching Rex, Chase. And when you get him - tell him Blue says "Hi". [He cuts the call]
Searching Buttons[]
- [When going to the yellow punch bag on the right]
- Chase McCain: A punch bag and weight lifting equipment?! Oh great, 'coz the last thing we want is criminals who are weak and easy to arrest!
- [When destroying the yellow punching bag]
- Chase McCain: That's interesting. A hidden button.
- [When destroying the hot tub and finding the second button]
- Chase McCain: Aha! Another hidden button...
- [When hitting the toilet on the left side of the cell]
- Chase McCain: Whoa! I'm glad I wasn't sat on that!
- [When finding the last button]
- Chase McCain: And there's the last button.
Tunnel Behind a Painting[]
- [When pressing the last button]
- Chase McCain: Ah, the ol' secret entrance behind a painting. What a... Hang on, didn't I say this already?
Rex's Escape Solved[]
- Chase McCain: [He falls from the secret tunnel to the outside of Albatross Prison] Whoooa! Waaah!
- Marion Dunby: McCAIN! Warden Stonewall called me. I won't tell you what he called me, but is wasn't nice.
- [Frank appears]
- Frank Honey: It was a nincompoop!
- [Chase scales the inclined surface with a hammer]
- Chase McCain: It looks like Rex used this hammer to dig his way out of prison. It came from the Bluebell Mine.
- Marion Dunby: Gimme that! If there's any deducting to do, I'll do it! [He drives his Patrollo towards Chase and takes the hammer] Hmm... interesting... It's a hammer.
- Chase McCain: [He gets up] Aaaand where's it from? [He places a blue sticker on the hammer]
- Marion Dunby: There's no way to tell. But the Bluebell Mine seems as good a place to start as any... You see... [He starts eating a donut] there was a theft there a few months ago.
- Chase McCain: I'll get over there right away, Chief!
- Marion Dunby: Not so fast, McCain! [He keeps eating the donut] Sherrif Huckleberry can look into it. [He's about to finish eating the donut] Stay away from the mine! That's an order!
- George Fartarbensonbury: Hey, Chief! Can I get a shot for the Herald? [He tries to use his camera to take a photo]
- [Everyone, except the guard, positions themselves for a photo]
- Guard: Uh, are you sure he didn't use this? [He pulls out a pickaxe from the small lake, causing the others to notice him]
- George Fartarbensonbury: Watch the birdie!
- [Dunby listens to George, but the others ignore him due to the presence of the pickaxe. George takes the photo with everyone, except Dunby, noticing the pickaxe. The level ends]
Bluebell Mine Robbery[]
- [Upon receiving a message from Ellie]
- Ellie Phillips: Hey Chase!
- Chase McCain: Hi Ellie, what d'you need?
- Ellie Phillips: Have you seen Frank around? He's doin' a favor for me.
- Chase McCain: Sorry, not heard from him. Uh, while I've got you, d'you know anything about a theft at Bluebell Mine?
- Ellie Phillips: Sure do! Uncle Duke took me along with him. Some thugs took a load of equipment. Dunby took us off the case before we could interview the witness, though. Said he sounded like a crank.
- Chase McCain: There was a witness?
- Ellie Phillips: Yeah, kooky old guy. Hang on... Clarence Fletcher. Says here his friends call him "Stinky". Nice.
- Chase McCain: Thanks, Ellie. It sounds like Stinky might know who Rex's guys are on the outside... Oh, and I'll keep an eye out for Frank!
- Ellie Phillips: And try taking the train from Cherry Tree Hill station - you'll get to the mine a lot faster! [She cuts the call]
Arrival at the Train Station[]
- [When arriving at Cherry Tree Station]
- Chase McCain: I need to ask Stinky at the mine some questions. I'll get there faster if I take the train.
Todd's Shift is Over[]
- [When sounding the steam whistle]
- Todd Greywacke: Yeah, nobody gets one over on... Ooh! My shift's over! [He gets into a mining wagon and leaves, causing the other miners to move away from the entrance]
Arrival at Bluebell Mine[]
- [Chase enters the Bluebell Mine]
- Chase McCain: I'm looking for Clarence "Stinky" Fletcher?
- Miner: [on screen] Other end of the main cavern. [off-screen] Phew... You can't miss him. [on screen] I tell you I sure won't when he retires. Phew-wee!
- [Eddie Jojo appears in the background]
- Eddie Jojo: There he is! Blow the charges!
- Spikey Don: [Yawning]
- Eddie Jojo: With the detonator!
- Spikey Don: [He coughs and presses the detonator, exploding the dynamites and blocking the way]
- Chase McCain: What the...crab cakes?!
- [Eddie and Spikey escape through the blocked path while taunting Chase]
- Mine Foreman: Alright, which one of you lot did that? For the last time, will people stop playing with dynamite! And you! Get some safety gear on!
- Chase McCain: Er... Aye-aye, sir!
Work in the First Cave[]
- [If the player approaches one of the miners, they can say this]
- Miner 1: Pete shoulda been more careful in that unstable tunnel. If he'd just been a sharp miner, then he wouldn't be a flat miner now. I wonder if the foreman would let me borrow some of the explosives, so I can get rid of that tree stump in ma garden? You spend all yer time watchin' out for falling stalactites and then bam! A fallin' boot lands on your head. It's made the whole system seize up!
- Miner 2: I am easily gonna make my quota this month. I'm gonna spend my bonus on goin' to one of those health spas to get pampered.
- Miner 3: That building Blackwell was plannin' looked really nice. I doubt I coulda afforded an apartment in it, though.
- Miner 4: You ain't kiddin'. Not on our wages.
- Miner 5: They ever find out why those guys who broke in here took the equipment?
- Miner 6: No idea, maybe they're startin' their own mine? Diggin's all it was good for.
Able to Use Dynamites[]
- [When obtaining the Miner suit]
- Chase McCain: I get to use dynamite now?! This is gonna be a blast!
Destroying the Collapse[]
- [Before destroying the silver block]
- Miner 7: Aw dagnabbit! My first day on the job and I managed to jam this big spinnery whatsit. It's made the whole system seize up! That silver block is jammed in so tight it'll need blasting out of there!
- [After destroying the silver block]
- Miner 7: Thanks! You just saved my job, buddy!
- [Before building the track]
- Miner 8: Aw, c'mon! They haven't finished building the track! I can't move my cart of dynamite... Whoa, hey! You can't have my dynamite! I need all of it! But...if you fix the track I'll let you push it! Weeee-hee-hee!
- [After building the track]
- Miner 8: You fixed the track! You are my bestest friend now. You wanna push my cart?
Destroyed Collapse[]
- [After destroying the collapse by pushing the car with dynamites]
- Miner 8: Wow! That explosion was awesome! It was like KABOOOOM! And I was like whoa! Hahaha!
Fight Rex's Goons[]

- [After destroying the silver portable toilet]
- Miner 9: Hey - whoa! Ok, hint taken! No more beans... Uh... A little privacy, please?
Preparing for Free Fall[]
- [After building the blue dive board]
- Chase McCain: Great. A dive board. I feel much safer now. I hope my health insurance is up-to-date.
- [When stand on the blue dive board]
- Chase McCain: Three. Two. One. Go! [He jumps automatically]
Free Falling[]
- [If the player jumps before Chase finishes counting the three seconds]
- Chase McCain: Agh! I wasn't ready!
- [After crossing the giant fan]
- Chase McCain: Why was that even there?! Y'know, after a while, you kinda get used to the terror.
- [After finishing the free fall]
- Chase McCain: [He activates his parachute] Am I glad I remembered to pack my parachute today! Although... Some spare pants would've been handy, too.
- [If the player successfully lands on the ledge]
- Chase McCain: Perfect landing!
Lost in the Mine[]
- [If the player approaches Todd, he can say this]
- Todd Greywacke: You know there's an elevator, right?
- Chase McCain: No.
Building a Cable Car[]
- [As approach the Super Build]
- Chase McCain: I'll need a lot more bricks before I can use that Super Build.
- Miner 10: Ah c'mon! We were supposed to get a new cable car last week! How're we gonna get to the other side of the cavern?
The Sleeping Miner[]
- [When trying to destroy the silver mine cart]
- Chase McCain: Sorry, mister. I'm about to wake you up!
- [After destroying the silver mine cart]
- Chase McCain: Wow. He is a deep sleeper.
More Rex Goons[]
- [Upon finding more of Rex's thugs]
- Chase McCain: Uh-oh, more "friendly" faces.
Work in the Third Cave[]
- [If the player approaches one of the miners, they can say this]
- Miner 11: The next time I get an urge to ride around in mine carts, I should check the foreman isn't watching first. I can't believe I gotta work a double shift now.
- Miner 12: I'm sure the foreman was messing with me when he said this part of the mine was haunted. Wuh?! What just touched me?! Yeah, this is honest toil. Good, honest, sweat of your brow manly toil... I wish I was an accountant.
- Miner 13: I spend all day breakin' rocks and luggin' boulders about. When I get home I should be allowed to put my feet up! I heard the boss say we've gone six days without an accident. I think we might have a chance of breaking our record.
Lighting the Fuse[]
- [When trying to light the fuse]
- Chase McCain: Light fuse and stand well back! Mwu-ha-ha-ha!
Built Cable Car[]
- [When building the Cable Car]
- Miner 10: Hey! Good work, man! Not that I'm gonna get in it. Those things ain't safe!
Crossing the Poisonous Water[]
- [When boarding the cable car]
- Miner 10: No sir-ree! You have a good trip, though! I'm sure you'll be fine!
- Spikey Don: Watch this! [He pulls a lever to stop the cable car, causing it to start falling]
- Chase McCain: [The cable car begins to fall apart] Yargh! This isn't gonna end well, is it? Oh...! Oh...! Oh...! [The cable car falls] Waah!
- Spikey Don: Haha! That oughta stop him!
Survived the Fall[]
- Chase McCain: Legs, check. Arms, check. Head, check. Whadderya know? I'm still alive!
Approaching Stinky[]
- [Upon reaching the first high ledge on the other side]
- Chase McCain: More bad guys! I must be getting close to Stinky.
- [Upon reaching the ledge with the grinder machine]
- Chase McCain: Here's an idea Chase, maybe don't fall in that terrifying grinder machine?
Stinky Missing?[]
- [Upon reaching the highest ledge on the other side]
- Chase McCain: Where's Stinky?!
- [When opening the safe with the voice recorder]
- Chase McCain: Ooh, a voice recorder! Maybe there's a clue on it?
Stinky's Fate[]
- [Voice recorder starts playing]
- Stinky Fletcher: Fletcher's Log Three-Zero-One-One. I've been-
- [Footsteps are heard]
- Stinky Fletcher: Huh? Who's that?!
- Rex Fury: Get him!
- Stinky Fletcher: Gaargh!
- [A fight and crashes are heard]
- Unknown Rex Goon: I'll hide his recorder, boss!
- [Voice recorder ends]
- Chase McCain: They've got Stinky! But I might still be able to catch up with them!
Found by Rex Fury[]
- [Three Rex's Galicans arrive. Chase walks through Bluebell National Park]
- Rex Fury: [off-screen] Long time no see, McCain.
- Chase McCain: [He is surprised; off-screen] Rex Fury?!
- Rex Fury: Looking for someone?
- Chase McCain: What's that?!
- [Trying to deceive, Chase tries to arrest Rex, but he is so strong that he takes off the poses]
- Chase McCain: Wow...
- [Rex punches Chase in the face, knocking him unconscious]
- Rex Fury: [off-screen] Leave him! There's nothin' he can do. [He gets on his Brute; on screen] My guy says he's found someone to steal us a nice new truck... courtesy of the LEGO City PD.
- [Three of his thugs steal an ice cream van]
- Rex Fury: [off-screen] Turn that noise off!
Found by Duke and Natalia[]
- [Natalia and Duke find Chase waking up]
- Chase McCain: Did an ice cream truck hit me?
- Duke Huckleberry: It looks that way, but no. You got beat up, Chase. Good thing Dunby sent me up here.
- Chase McCain: Duke? Ow... I was looking for a miner, but... Rex got to him first!
- Natalia Kowalski: Try not to speak.
- Chase McCain: Natalia?! You came here for me?
- Natalia Kowalski: No. He'll be fine.
- Chase McCain: Then, why...?
- Natalia Kowalski: I was in the area.
- Duke Huckleberry: Her daddy's gone missin'.
- Chase McCain: What?! Don't worry, Natalia! I'll find him!
- Natalia Kowalski: I'll find him without you! I never should have testified against Rex Fury...
- Duke Huckleberry: If Rex has got her daddy and you're plannin' on rescuing him, then you're gonna need to learn how to defend yerself. [He gives Chase a letter from Barry Smith] Go see this guy. He knows kung fu.
- [Both the level and the chapter end]
Story[]
Dunby refuses to allow Chase to visit Albatross Prison, but Frank and Captain Bluffbeard take him anyways.
At first Chase assumes Blue helped Rex escape, only to hear that Rex was Blue's best customer for his smuggled goods and hasn't paid him, so he agrees to help Chase infiltrate Rex's cell. Inside the prison, Chase obtains the Robber disguise, allowing him to bypass Warden Stonewall and access Rex's cell. He finds a pickaxe from the Bluebell Mines inside and slides out the exit tunnel Rex dug for himself.
Chase learns from Ellie that some of Rex's thugs stole equipment from the mines a few months back and, despite Dunby's warning to stay away from the mines, infiltrates inside to speak with a witness. Inside he obtains the Miner disguise and makes his way down to find some answers and to find a man named Clarence 'Stinky' Fletcher. Unfortunately Rex's gang had gotten to him first and captured him, as shown by a final recording Clarence created deep within the mine.
Exiting the caves, Chase incidentally runs into Rex. Chase attempts to arrest him again, only for Rex to easily break out of his handcuffs and knock him out with a single punch. When he finally awakens, Natalia and Duke help Chase up, the latter revealing that Natalia's father, Henrik Kowalski has gone missing.
Walkthrough[]
LEGO City[]
After completing the previous chapter, you will be near a skyscraper in Cherry Tree Hills listening to a message from Frank. When you finish listening to the messages, take someone else's vehicle and go to the back of the Police Station. There, destroy some blue and white trash cans and use their pieces to build some railings. Use the railings to cross the fences and get to the other side. Suddenly, a cutscene will play where Chase goes to the Cherry Tree Hills Pier. When the scene ends, you will need to build a Ferry, which is worth 15,000 bricks. Ellie will update your communicator to detect Super Bricks if you don't have the necessary bricks. Go back and instead of going up the stairs, destroy some objects next to it to reveal a question mark scanner symbol. Use the Police suit on it to follow a path of footprints and find a Super Brick which will increase your brick count by 1,000. Next, go up the stairs to the Police Station courtyard and there, destroy a blue cylinder on the east post to build a handhold. Climb the handholds and then climb the underside of a bridge to reach the roof of a building. On the roof of that building, go left and slide through a gap to the left of a tower to get a Super Brick that will continue to increase your bricks by 1,000. Next, climb the tower ladder, climb the handholds, and then climb a pole to get a Super Brick which will increase your brick count by 10,000. You will be able to break more objects if you do not reach 15,000 bricks. When you have 15,000 bricks, return to Bluffbeard, stand on the multicolored pad and use the 15,000 bricks to build the Ferry. With the Ferry built, you will be able to purchase a new vehicle: Pumpkin. A cutscene will play and when it's over, use a ticket machine to travel to Albatross Island.
When you arrive at Albatross Island, you will be at its dock. Follow the path of studs and you'll see a cutscene of Chase noticing a Prison Guard. When the scene ends, destroy a brown box on the right side of the fence to reveal a box with tools. Grab the box and take it to a green pad to build a railing. Use the railing to cross the fence and destroy a brown box to reveal a question mark scanner symbol. Use it with the Police suit to find a key covered by a pile of trash to the left. Grab it, go back to the right, put the key in a lock, and turn it to open a door to a hallway. Enter the hallway, go left and use a terminal to open the door on the left side. Exit the hallway, go through the newly opened door, and go left to find blue and white trash cans. Destroy them to build a blue and white wall, climb the blue and white walls and run along some inclined surfaces to reach the top. Walk along a small blue and white walkway to the left and use a railing to cross to the other side of the fences. There, use the Police suit on a grapple point to reach the roof of a building. Before going right, it is advisable to slide through a gap on the left to obtain a Super Brick that will increase your bricks by 1,000, useful for future Super Builds. After obtaining the Super Brick, follow the path of studs to the right until you find a grapple point. Use it with the Police suit, jump to the blue post on the left and get off it to enter the prison yard. There, go to the right of the basketball court fence and you will see two prisoners guarding the entrance. They will tell you that they will open the court doors for you if you recover their stolen basketball. Climb the blue and white chunks on the right side of a wall to the north, walk on a small blue and white walkway to the right and use the Police suit on a blue and white air conditioner to the right to make it fall, destroy it and build a blue and white catapult. Use the newly constructed catapult to reach the roof of a building and jump down to the northeast corner of the prison yard. There, fight five prisoners and quickly arrest them to recover the basketball. Grab the basketball, climb up the white and blue pieces of a wall on the left, return to the prisoners and return the ball to them so they can open the doors to the court. Enter the basketball court and go towards Blue to play a cutscene. When the scene ends, you will have to enter the prison cell block. Head to the designated spot near the doors of the north building to start the second level: Trouble in Stir.
Special Assignment 2: Trouble in Stir[]
- Main article: Trouble in Stir
You start in the prison cell block, where you have to fight and arrest six prisoners. Approach one of them, press the action button to make him fall, and quickly arrest him before he gets up. By doing this, you will send him to his respective cell. Repeat this with the six prisoners and upon arresting them all, Pat Patterson will open the door to a cell with a closet. Enter the cell and open the closet to unlock Chase McCain (Robber). After this, a symbol with a crowbar will appear on the door of the fourth bottom cell on the left side. You will hear a message from Blue and when you finish listening to it, go to the fourth bottom cell on the left side and use the crowbar of the Robber suit on the door to open the cell (you can change suits by pressing the trigger buttons or from a spinner that opens with the alternate attack button). Enter the cell and destroy a box to build a white and blue wall. Climb the newly built wall to reach the second floor of the prison cell block, go right and destroy a cart near the damaged elevator to reveal a question mark scanner symbol. Use it with the Police suit to follow clues and find a key inside the drawers next to the fourth cell on the second floor. Grab it, place it in a lock in the fourth cell on the upper floor and turn it to open the cell door. Enter the cell, destroy a wall on the right to enter the fifth cell on the second floor and exit it to cross some electrical wires. Carefully walk along a blue and white walkway to reach the right side and use the Robber suit to open the door to a small room. Inside that room, use the stethoscope of the Robber suit to open a safe and find a key card. Take the key card, return to the third cell location on the second floor and go left to find a terminal. Use the key card in the terminal to open the door to a small room. In that room, use a terminal to disable the lasers next to the first cell on the second floor. However, this will free two prisoners on the third floor. Enter the room with the lasers disabled and use the Police suit on a grapple point to reach the third floor. On the third floor, go right and fight and arrest the two prisoners you freed. Continue to the right, use the Robber suit to open the fourth cell on the third floor, and destroy three walls on the right to reach the right side after exiting the sixth cell on the second floor. Enter a small room on the right and destroy a locker to build a terminal. Use the terminal to open the door that will take you to the next area.
In the next area, you will see Warden Stonewall entering his private bathroom. You will hear a message from Blue, instructing you to close the door to his private bathroom. Use the Police suit on a grapple point on the chandelier above to drop it and reveal pieces. Use the pieces to build some plungers on the private bathroom door, locking in Warden. You'll see a cutscene where Warden will quickly knock on the door and the tremors will cause a box to fall to the left, revealing a safe. Use the Robber suit to open the safe and find a record. Grab the record and place it on a gramophone on the right side of the area to play a cutscene. When the scene ends, build a terminal next to the painting opposite and use it to open the painting and reveal an elevator. Wait for the elevator to open and enter it to reach the final area.
In the final area, use the Robber suit to enter Rex's cell, where two Hot Tubs await you. Fight them, arrest them, and you'll hear a message from Blue. When you finish listening to the message, head to the yellow punching bag in the lower right corner of the area. Stand at the designated spot and press the action button several times until the punching bag is destroyed, revealing a hidden button. Step on it to make one of the three red lights on the front wall turn green. Then, destroy a toilet on the left to make a stream of water come out. Don't get on the stream of water yet, but use the Police suit on a grapple point to destroy the hot tub and reveal another button. Step on it to turn another red light to green. Use the stream of water from the toilet to reach the ledge on the left and climb up a blue and white wall to reach the right ledge. There, destroy an air conditioner to reveal a question mark scanner symbol. Use the Police suit on it to find some pieces in the drawers on the right. Use the pieces to build one last button and step on it to make the last red light turn green. By having the three red lights turn green, a painting will open, revealing a secret tunnel. Go into the secret tunnel to finish the level.
LEGO City (Again)[]
After completing the level and returning to LEGO City, you will be at the Cherry Tree Hills Pier. You will hear a message from Ellie, telling you to go to the Bluebell Mine to meet Stinky Fletcher. To make the process faster, you'll unlock Train Travel, which allows you to take a train for fast travel. To reflect this, these two train stations will be activated automatically: Cherry Tree Station and Bluebell National Station. When you finish listening to the message, go up the stairs, but don't head to the train station yet. Instead, before heading to the station, climb up two white and blue walls on the east side of the back of the Police Station. Then, use a white and blue pad on the left to reach a handhold and climb a wall to reach a Super Brick that will increase your bricks by 1,000, which can help you in future Super Builds. Go to a small building to the east and climb a white and blue wall to reach a Super Brick that will increase your bricks by 1,000. Once you've grabbed those two Super Bricks, head to the green arrow, but before you go to the train station, you'll find a question mark scanner symbol. Use the Police suit on it to find a Super Brick (which will increase your bricks by 1,000) inside a trash can. With three Super Bricks grabbed, head towards the green arrow to reach the Cherry Tree Station. There, use a ticket machine to travel to Bluebell National Park.
In Bluebell National Park, head north of the station to find the entrance to the Bluebell Mine, but it will be guarded by miners. Go to the small green container on the right, use a Robber character to open it, and then open a safe to find a green wheel crank. Grab it, place it in the green circle on the left and turn it to sound a steam whistle. This will end the shift of a miner named Todd Greywacke. Todd will leave in a mining wagon causing the other miners to move away from the entrance. Before entering the mine, you can climb up some handholds and go left to find a Super Brick that will increase your bricks by 10,000. Once the miners move away from the entrance, enter the Bluebell Mine to begin the third level: Miner Altercation.
Special Assignment 3: Miner Altercation[]
- Main article: Miner Altercation
You start in the first cave of the Bluebell Mine. Use the Robber suit to open a door that is to the left of the collapse. Then, enter a small zone and pull a lever to drop some pieces. Use the pieces to build a box and push it to the left to reach the ledge above. On the ledge to the left, climb a wall and use the Police suit to cross a gap and reach the other side. On the other side, destroy two white and blue objects to build a catapult. Use that catapult to cross a large gap and enter another small zone. There, use the Robber suit to open the door to a shed. Enter that shed and open a closet to unlock Chase McCain (Miner). With the Miner suit, you have a pickaxe, which will allow you to destroy black rocks. Exit the shed, destroy the black rocks on the right, and climb down a rope to return to the main zone. Destroy the pile of black rocks in the upper right corner to find a lever. Grab it, place it on a mechanism on the right and pull it to make pieces fall. Use those pieces to build a dynamite vending machine. Use the Miner suit on it to receive a dynamite. Grab it and place it in a barrel next to a silver block that stops a drilling machine. When you place it, stay away to avoid dying in the explosion. The dynamite will destroy the silver block, saving the drilling machine. This will cause a claw to move and drop a box, allowing you to build a track. Use those pieces to build and complete a railway track. Then, push a cart with dynamites into the silver boulders collapse to destroy it and open the way. However, two of Rex's goons will emerge. Fight them and arrest them. Once defeated, head towards the newly opened path to reach the next area.
In the next area, you'll find three of Rex's goons. Fight them and arrest them. After defeating them, go to the shed on the left and use the Miner suit on a dynamite vending machine to receive a dynamite. Grab it and place it in a barrel next to a portable toilet. Move away from it and the dynamite will explode and destroy the portable toilet, revealing pieces. Use them to build a blue dive board. Stand on the blue dive board and Chase will automatically try to jump in three seconds, but you can press the jump button to make it instant. You will be falling freely into the abyss. With the Left Stick, you can change your direction. With the jump button, you can fall in a bullet, while with the action button, you can fall slowly. It is recommended to use the action button to go down slowly and avoid intact obstacles. You can also get studs if you go through the middle of their rings. In the middle of the free fall, there will be a giant fan. It is recommended to use the jump button in the corners (be careful touching the walls) to avoid it. After avoiding more obstacles and seeing that you are approaching a lake, Chase will activate his parachute. With the parachute, you can keep the Left Stick down to try to grab more studs. If you fall into the lake, use a ladder to the north to climb up to a ledge. Head north and you will find black rocks blocking the path. Use the Miner suit to destroy them and enter the final area.
In the final area, go south and you will find a Super Build, which will ask you for 22,000 bricks to build a Cable Car. If you don't have 22,000 bricks, look for Super Bricks. First, go to the upper right corner and use the Robber suit to open a red shed and find a Super Brick that will increase your bricks by 1,000. Next, go south of a silver mine cart and use the Miner suit to destroy a pile of black rocks and reveal a question mark scanner. Use the Police suit on it to reveal a trapdoor. It will open and contain a dynamite. Grab it with the Miner suit and place it in a barrel next to the silver mine cart. Move away from it and the dynamite will explode and destroy the silver mine cart. Use the bricks from the silver mine cart to build a box and push it to reach the ledge above. Climb a handhold, fight and arrest the thugs on the left, and destroy a pile of black rocks with the Miner suit to receive a Super Brick that will increase your bricks by 10,000. Then, jump to the right, climb a pole to reach the ledge on the right, and destroy a blue cart and a brown box to build a white and blue catapult. Use the newly built catapult to reach the high platform and use the handhold on the right to reach a Super Brick that will increase your bricks by 1,000. Then, return to the platform, use the Police suit to lower the bridge on the left, and destroy a blue cylinder to build a white and blue handhold. Climb the handholds to reach a higher ledge, destroy a pile of black rocks with the Miner suit, and destroy a white and blue barrel on the right to build a small blue walkway. Walk along it carefully, grab a torch and take it to a fuse on the left before it goes out. The fuse will destroy some rocks and you can reach the platform above. Use a handhold to reach it and swing on some poles to the high right ledge. Climb a ladder, swing on a pole to reach the platform on the left, and climb a wall to find a Super Brick that will increase your bricks by 1,000. Go to the platform to the left of the wall, climb a ladder and use a zip line to reach a platform with a Super Brick that will increase your bricks by 10,000. Then, go down a chain to the left and destroy a pile of black rocks with the Miner suit to get a Super Brick that will continue to increase your bricks by 1,000. With all those Super Bricks you grabbed, you should have over 24,000 bricks. Drop down a tube to return to the floor below. Go to the multicolored pad and use the 22,000 bricks to build the Cable Car. Once the Cable Car is built, hop on it to reach the other side.
However, a Spikey Don will pull a lever to stop the cable car, causing it to begin to crumble until it falls and is destroyed. However, you will survive the explosion. Jump to the small island on the right and you'll see a cutscene where a Vitus Tinkleman will start throwing rocks with dynamite at you. Jump to the next small island and climb a wall to reach the high ledge, but watch out for the rocks with dynamite on the right side. Fight and arrest two of Rex's goons. Go behind some boards, then left and use the Police suit to reach the ledge above. Be careful not to touch the grinder machine, climb a wall and run to the right of a conveyor belt while avoiding burnt rocks. Grab a handhold to reach the ledge above, go left and use the Miner suit to destroy a pile of black rocks. Fight and arrest three of Rex's thugs and destroy a red scaffold and two brown boxes to build a dynamite vending machine. Use the Miner suit on it to receive a dynamite. Grab it and place it in a barrel next to a silver portable toilet. Move away from it and the dynamite will explode and destroy the silver portable toilet, revealing pieces. Use them to build a white and blue catapult. Use said catapult to reach the highest ledge. Go right and fall through a trapdoor to enter a shed. Use the Robber suit to open a safe and find a voice recorder. Grab it to play a recorder of Stinky being captured. When the voice recorder ends, the level will end. Upon returning to LEGO City, the chapter will be completed, beginning the fourth chapter: When the Going Gets Tough....
