Death Star Escape is the nineteenth level in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga. It is the fourth level of A New Hope.

Episode IV

DEATH STAR ESCAPE

Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and

Chewbacca have rescued

Princess Leia from the clutches

of Darth Vader and his

Imperial forces - but must

now find a way out of the

Death Star.

Aided by the droid R2-D2,

who can interface remotely

with the Death Star control

systems, they battle their way

to the Millennium Falcon.

Meanwhile, the Jedi Knight

Obi-Wan Kenobi moves closer

to his final destiny....

Story

The Falcon jumps out of hyperspace towards the remains of Alderaan. A TIE Fighter attacks the Falcon and Han follows it to the Death Star, where the ship loses control. Vader orders the Stormtroopers to search the ship, but Han Solo and Luke Skywalker steal the Stormtroopers' armor. Han comes out and when he sees Vader, he puts on a Stormtrooper helmet and tries to act nonchalant. Vader senses Ben on the ship, but walks away. Han drops the helmet and he and the group head to an elevator (not seen in the scene). They discover that Princess Leia is imprisoned on the Death Star. Ben goes to disable the tractor beam, R2 and 3PO hide, and Han, Luke, and Chewbacca go to rescue the Princess. When they encounter Leia, they shoot the dumpster hatch. They jump into the garbage chute and land in a trash compactor. Han, Luke, Chewie, and Leia escape the trash compactor and venture across the Death Star to escape. When they reach the Falcon, Vader knocks Ben down. The Falcon escapes.

Walkthrough

You start in a systems area. Use Ben's Force to open the door on the right and reach the next area.

In the next area, you will be attacked by three Stormtroopers and an Imperial Officer. Defeat them and build two computers on the northern control panels to free an astromech panel. Use R2-D2 on the panel to play a scene. When the cutscene ends, Ben, 3PO, and R2 will leave, leaving you with Luke, Han, and Chewie. Go to the newly opened door on the left to reach the next area.

In the next area, go right while defeating enemies until you see two elevators and a hat dispenser. Destroy the cameras above the elevators to prevent more Stormtroopers from appearing, and have two characters use the hat dispenser to put on Stormtrooper helmets. Be careful, switching to another character while yours is wearing the helmet will cause them to lose it. After putting on the Stormtrooper helmets, go right and you'll see a cutscene where Ben will be attacked by three Stormtroopers while trying to turn off the tractor beam. Use your blaster to help him defeat the three Stormtroopers and three more will come. Defeat them and Ben will use his Force to build you a bridge as thanks, before turning off the tractor beam. Continue to the right and you will be attacked by enemies at the end of the hallway. Defeat them and destroy the camera above the elevator so that no more Stormtroopers appear. Lastly, make sure you have a Stormtrooper helmet to use an Imperial panel inside the elevator. This will activate the elevator and take you to the next area.

In the next area, you will be attacked by many enemies. Defeat them and destroy the cameras above two elevators so that no more enemies appear. Then, use a hat dispenser to put on a Stormtrooper helmet (if you lost one), and use an Imperial panel on the elevator on the right to reach the next area.

In the next area, you will not only be attacked by three Imperial Officers, but also by an infinite respawn of Stormtroopers leaving in two elevators. Defeat all enemies and destroy the cameras above the elevators to stop the infinite respawn. Next, build two levers and a control machine in the center of the area. Finally, pull the two levers to open the door to the north, which will take you to the next area.

In the next area, go right while defeating enemies until you reach a barrier. Near the barrier, pull two levers to open the fourth cell and find Leia. Approach her to join your team and deactivate the barrier. Go to the right and you will find more enemies that, unlike the previous elevators, the elevator where they come out does not have a camera, making it impossible to stop their infinite respawn. Defeat as many as you can and destroy a grate to reveal a conduit. Go there to reach the next area.

In the next area, you will be in the trash compactor. Build a platform and then use it to reach the door above and reach the next area.

In the next area, defeat a Stormtrooper and an Imperial Officer and have both characters put on Stormtrooper helmets. Then, destroy two boxes and go to the front door to reach the next area.

In the next area, defeat three nearby enemies and destroy a red barrel to build a grapple point. Then, jump down the platform, build a grapple point near the starting platform, and push a large platform into a square hole. When you do this, several enemies will attack you. Defeat them and use the grapple point under the starting platform to return. Then, use the first grapple point you built to reach a very high platform and jump to the large platform you pushed to reach the platform on the left. There, pull a lever to activate a conveyor belt and drop a box and knock it over, revealing pieces. Use the pieces to build a button and step on it to extend a bridge. Return to the upper platform, go to the bridge and make sure you are wearing a Stormtrooper helmet to use an Imperial panel. This will open the door on the left, which will take you to the next area.

In the next area, you will be attacked by Stormtroopers standing on distant platforms. Use your blaster to shoot them, build a grapple point and use it to reach the platform on the right. Then, coming across two grapple points, use the northern one to reach the next platform and then head to the door that will take you to the final area of ​​the level.

In the final area, you will find the Millennium Falcon under a barrier on the ground. Your objective will be to lift the platform where it is located. First, go south of the barrier with the Falcon and you will find five buttons on the ground. Step on them all to release a lever on the left side. Pull it to raise a platform with pieces. Use the pieces to build a lever and pull it to raise the platform with the Falcon a little. You will be attacked by enemies when you try to lift the platform. Defeat them and go to the right side to find some pieces on the ground next to a door with a lever. Use the pieces to build a door handle and pull the lever to open the door and find R2 and 3PO, who will join your team. Go a little to the left and use some small pieces to build a target. Shoot it with a blaster to move a conveyor belt and knock down an object. Next, build a grapple point, use it to reach the platform above, and pull a lever to release an astromech panel. Go to the astromech panel and use it with R2 to raise the platform with the Falcon a little more. You will be attacked by enemies again. Defeat them and go a little to the left of the central barrier to find two red pipes. Destroy them to make steam come out of the yellow vent on the floor. Use the steam to reach the platform above and use a protocol panel with 3PO to completely raise the platform with the Falcon, ending the level.

Collectables

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

• Minikit Canisters
  1. (S) In the second area, you will see a protocol panel next to the door on the right side. Use a protocol droid on it to open the door and enter a small room. There, destroy a computer to reveal this minikit.
  2. (S) Find three grape blocks throughout the level to get this minikit:
     1. In the second area, destroy a computer on the right side to reveal this grape block.
     2. On the left side of the ninth area, destroy a red barrel near a ramp to reveal this grape block.
     3. In the final area, near the door where you find R2 and 3PO, destroy a red barrel on the right to reveal this grape block.
  3. (F) In the first hallway of the third area, you will see a red and gray door. Use a Sith character to destroy it and enter a special area. There, use a Jedi character to lift a platform and reveal this minikit on the platform above. To get to that platform, jump to the platform on the left and destroy a red barrel to build a grapple point. Then, use the grapple point with a character with blaster to reach the platform with this minikit.
  4. (F) When you find the large chasm in the third area, use a hover character to reach the north bridge, where you would find Ben fighting Stormtroopers in Story. When you reach the bridge, head to the door on the left to reach a special area. There, go left while defeating Stormtroopers and you will see this minikit on a very high platform. To get there, use a hover character to reach the lowest northern platform. Next, destroy a red barrel to build a hatch and enter there with a small character to reach the high platform on the left. There, use a hover character to reach the high southern platform and obtain this minikit.
  5. (F) On the bridge where Ben would be in the third area, use a Jedi character to build the bridge that Ben would build for you and pull three levers to turn off the tractor beam and reveal this minikit above. To get to it, use a character with blaster at the grapple point on the right side.
  6. (F) On the bridge where Ben would be in the third area, use a protocol droid on a protocol panel to the right to open an elevator door. Then, go to the elevator to reach the left side of the fourth area. There, defeat all the enemies and use a character with blaster to shoot a target on the third lever to the north. This will extend a platform under the lever. Use a hover character to reach the platform and pull the lever to extend another platform to the left. Use a double jump character to reach that platform and pull another lever to extend a platform further to the left. Double jump to get there and pull one more lever to reveal this minikit on the starting platform. Use a hover character to return to that platform.
  7. (F) After destroying the cameras above the two elevators in the fifth area, go to one of the elevators to find an Imperial panel. Use an Imperial member on it to activate the elevator where you are and reach a special area (regardless of which elevator you take). There, defeat three Beach Troopers and go to the closed door on the right to find an astromech panel. Use an astromech droid on it to open the door and find pieces inside. Use them to build a lever, but don't pull it yet. Instead, go to the door on the left to find a bounty hunter panel. Use a bounty hunter on it to open the door and find more pieces that you can use to build another lever. With the two levers built, have both characters pull them to open the central door and find this minikit.
  8. (S) At the beginning of the sixth area, have both characters pull two levers to open the starting cell and find pieces. Use them to build a button and step on it. Then, go right and open the second cell to find other pieces. Use them to build a button and step on it. Finally, continue to the right and open the third cell to find this minikit, which will only appear by stepping on the two buttons.
  9. (F) Near the large platform in the ninth area, you will find some gray pieces. Use them to build a hatch and enter there with a small character to reach a room under a grate, where you will find this minikit.
  10. (F) In the final area, on the platform where you use 3PO on a protocol panel, use a bounty hunter on a bounty hunter panel to the right to open the door to the room where Ben and Vader fight. There, destroy three computers to reveal this minikit on the high platform to the left. Use a double jump character to reach that platform.

• Imperial Activation Panel Red Power Brick
  • (F) In the eighth area, build a protocol panel to the left and use a protocol droid on it to open a door to a special area. There, use a Jedi character to move four boxes and build a mountain of them to reveal this Red Power Brick on top. Double jump to reach it.

Unlockables

The minikit model in this level is a Millennium Falcon. After completing the level, you unlock Luke Skywalker (Stormtrooper) and Han Solo (Stormtrooper). In Mos Eisley Cantina you can buy Grand Moff Tarkin, a Beach Trooper, an Imperial Officer, a TIE Fighter Pilot and a Death Star Trooper. You will also be able to continue to Rebel Attack. After collecting the Red Power Brick, you can purchase Imperial Activation Panel.
