Darth Maul is the fifth level in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga. It is the fifth and final level of The Phantom Menace.

Story

The Jedi meets Darth Maul. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon decide to fight Maul while Padmé and Panaka take the long way around. During the battle, Qui-Gon is stabbed by Darth Maul. Obi-Wan cuts Maul in half as revenge for his fallen master. Meanwhile, in an off-screen scene, Anakin destroys the Control Ship. This causes the Battle Droids to go haywire. There is a big celebration with Boss Nass announcing peace.

Walkthrough

You start in Theed Hangar. Darth Maul will be far from a pit and will call two Battle Droids to attack you. Hold down the Y button to protect yourself with your lightsaber and deflect the Battle Droids' shots. Get one of the stray shots to hit one of the Battle Droids to defeat it. Repeat this with the other Battle Droid and Maul will start attacking you. He will use his Dark Force to throw an object at you. Use the Force to throw the object at him and cause damage. Repeat this process three times to make Maul run away. Next, use the Force to place three platforms on the other side of the pit and then use the Force again to turn the platforms into a bridge. Cross the bridge, then another bridge and go to the door where Maul fled through to reach the next area.

In the next area, Maul will continue running away from you. Go right and double jump to reach a platform. Then, use the Force to extend a platform and use the platform to reach a distant platform. Jump to another platform on the right and use the Force to extend another platform. Then, use the platform you extended to reach a higher platform and continue right towards a door to reach the next area.

In the next area, Darth Maul will flee to a platform far away. Two Commander Battle Droids will call many Battle Droids. First, go to the walkway on the left until you find the first Commander Battle Droid. Defeat it along with the Battle Droids it calls and go to the walkway on the right until you find the second Commander Battle Droid. Defeat it along with the rest of the Battle Droids and two button platforms will appear north of the middle platform. Have both characters step on the buttons to reveal another platform. Use it to chase after Maul and then reach the next area.

In the next area, four barriers will protect Darth Maul. Have both characters pull two levers to disable each barrier little by little and then reach the final area of ​​the level.

In the final area of ​​the level, you will have to face Maul, who will have ten hearts. Use your lightsaber to fight with Maul and take hearts out little by little. If Maul jumps to a distant location, follow him to continue fighting. When he has four hearts left, he will create a platform on the north wall and climb onto it. From there, he will throw objects at you like in the first area. Use the Force to throw the object at him and make him flee to the left. He will create another platform and use it to throw objects at you. Repeat the same process you did with the northern platform to make him flee to the right. He will create one more platform to throw objects at you. Repeat the same process one more time to get him to fight hand-to-hand with you again. Take away his four remaining hearts to finish the level.

Collectables

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

• Minikit Canisters
  1. (F) In the first area, you'll see two Naboo Starfighters on either side. Use a Jedi character to lift one of these and then use a Sith character to lift a platform near them. Then, use a double jump character to jump first to the platform and then to the Naboo Starfighter to reach the platform above. You have to do it quickly, as the platform will return to the ground, something that does not happen with the Naboo Starfighters. On the platform above, build an astromech panel and then use an astromech droid on the panel to open a door to a special area. On each side of the area, you'll see four buttons guarded by two Battle Droids and a Droideka. Defeat all the enemies and quickly step on the eight buttons to reveal this minikit in the middle of the area.
  2. (S) Find three grape blocks throughout the level to get this minikit:
     1. In the first area, destroy the yellow barrel to the right of the Naboo Starfighter on the right side to reveal this grape block.
     2. In the second area, instead of going up to the platforms above, continue along the platforms below until you find two barrel-shaped objects at the end. Destroy the object on the left to build a grapple point and use the grapple point with a character with blaster to reach a platform with a yellow barrel. Destroy the barrel to reveal this grape block. It is possible to obtain this grape block in Story if you jump to the platform where it is located at the end of the area. This can be very difficult, so it is recommended to double jump as soon as you jump down.
     3. In the fourth area, after passing the first barrier, destroy the barrel on the left side to reveal this grape block.
  3. (F) On the first platform you jump to in the second area, build a bounty hunter panel and use a bounty hunter on it to activate an elevator. Get on the elevator and when you're at the top, jump to the left platform with this minikit.
  4. (F) In the second area, instead of jumping to the platforms above, continue along the platforms below until you find a barrel-shaped object. Destroy it to build a protocol panel and use it with a protocol droid to reveal a platform with this minikit. You can also use the platform as a bridge.
  5. (F) On the second intact platform you jump to in the second area, destroy a barrel-shaped object to build a grapple point. Use the grapple point with a character with a blaster to reach the platform above and then use a double jump character to reach a higher ledge. There, go right while defeating Battle Droids until you find a yellow platform. Use a Jedi character to lift it up and then use it with a double jump character to reach this minikit.
  6. (F) On the leftmost platform of the third area, destroy a barrel-shaped object to build an Imperial panel. Use an Imperial member on it to activate a moving platform. Use the moving platform to reach this minikit in the air.
  7. (F) On the rightmost platform of the third area, destroy a barrel-shaped object to build a protocol panel. Use a protocol droid on it to activate a moving platform. Use the moving platform to reach this minikit in the air.
  8. (S) On the right side of the third area, double jump towards the beam of light on the right to ascend and reach this minikit.
  9. (S) In the fourth area, destroy all four objects next to the walls to reveal this minikit at the end. Two objects are on the left side, while the other two are on the right side.
  10. (S) In the final area, use a Jedi character to turn on four lights and reveal this minikit to the south. One light is on the left wall, another one on the right wall, and two more on the north wall.

• Score x2 Red Power Brick
  • (F) In the third area, you will see three yellow lights on each of the four platforms surrounding the light beams. Jump onto the platforms with a double jump character and then use a Sith character to destroy the twelve yellow lights and reveal this Red Power Brick in the middle of the area. Caution! Do not use a Jedi character in one of these lights, or the Red Power Brick will not be collectable.

Unlockables

The minikit model in this level is a Sith Infiltrator. In Mos Eisley Cantina you can buy Darth Maul. After collecting the Red Power Brick, you can purchase Score x2.
