A Custom Character is a character created by a player in a Character Creator.

Story[]
Custom Characters have no story involvement in most Lego games, however they play a major role in LEGO DC Super-Villains.
Games[]
In LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, the custom character is known as a "Stranger". The player can customise two strangers at a time. When the player reaches 100% progression on their save file, the stranger gains access to almost every single ability in the game, including High-Jump, Astromech, Protocol, Bounty Hunter, Imperial, Sith (and a random ability every time of Force stun, Force lightning, or Force choke), Shortie, Force Grapple Leap, and throwing thermal detonators. However, the stranger does not gain the ability to hover nor does it gain the attributes of a ghost as well as any ability vehicles have. Additionally, bonus parts that were previously unavailable are added to the customisation of the stranger. If customised with a blaster, the stranger can still use the Force.
The stranger will always use the default male death sound regardless of the parts or face used to customise the character; the stranger will always use a much sped up version of Ben Kenobi's attacks as well as his idle animations when customised with a lightsaber, and will use Lando's melee animations when customised with a blaster.

- The only LEGO games from TT on home console to have no character creator ever since it was introduced in Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy are Bionicle Heroes, LEGO Dimensions, & LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
