Cloud City Trap is the ninth level in the Game Boy Advance version of LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. It is the fourth level of The Empire Strikes Back.
Story[]
On Dagobah, as Luke trains to become a Jedi, he kills an illusion of Darth Vader and receives a warning: if Luke fights Vader without emotional control, he will become Vader, seduced by the Dark Side. Meanwhile, in Cloud City, C-3PO enters a room, while Han goes to visit his old friend, Lando Calrissian. So it turns out that Lando is allied with Vader. Han then freezes in carbonite, so Lando changes his mind and decides to help the Rebels. The Rebels fight in Cloud City and escape on the Millennium Falcon.
Walkthrough[]
The Dark Cave[]
As you start the level, you'll see a cutscene where Luke kills an illusion of Darth Vader. When the scene ends, you will appear in the first area of the level.
Cloud City Sector 1[]
You start at the entrance to Cloud City. Go to the upper left hallway and then move forward a little to the lower left hallway. Go down the lower right hallway and then down the lower left hallway. Finally, continue down the lower right hallway and head towards an arrow to move to the next area.
Cloud City Sector 2[]
In the next area, after watching a very short cutscene where C-3PO enters a room, continue down the lower right hallway and go to the upper left hallway. When you come across a barrier, go to the upper right hallway and then to the upper left hallway. You will meet Lando Calrissian. Press Select to switch to him, build a Bespin panel in the lower right hallway, and use Lando on it to disable a barrier in the lower left hallway. Go to the end of the lower left hallway, build a Bespin panel, and use Lando on it to open the door to the next area.
Dining Room[]
In the next area, you'll see a cutscene where Darth Vader captures Han. Then, you will see another scene.
Carbonite Chamber[]
In the next scene, you will see that Han will be frozen in carbonite. Then, you will return to the second area.
Cloud City Sector 2 (Again)[]
When you return to the second area, it will be full of enemies and you will have to return to the Millenium Falcon. Go to the end of the lower left hallway and then continue down the lower right hallway to where you met Lando. Then, go back the way you took to get to Lando to return to the first area. There are too many enemies, which makes the level more difficult because they can reduce your health very quickly.
Cloud City Sector 1 (Again)[]
When you return to the first area, you will have to get to the place where you started the level, but now there will be a barrier blocking the hallway where you came from. Build a Bespin panel and use Lando on it to disable the barrier. Then, go to the starting point of the level and hit a target to open the door to the final area of the level.
Cloud City Docking Platform[]
In the final area of the level, go to the end of the upper right bridge defeating enemies and enter the Millenium Falcon using an arrow to finish the level.
Collectables[]
S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.
- Minikit Canisters
- (S) After passing the first hallway in the first area, destroy a generator and continue down the upper left hallway to find this minikit on a small ledge.
- (S) Go to the end of the upper left hallway of the previous minikit and hit a target to reach a docking platform. There cross the upper right bridge, build a protocol panel with a buildable character, and use a protocol droid on the panel to disable a barrier. You will find this minikit in the center of the platform.
- (F) Before going to the second area, go to the upper right hallway and you will find this minikit behind a barrier. Use a buildable character to build an Imperial panel and then use an Imperial member on it to disable the barrier and grab this minikit.
- (S) As you go down the second upper left hallway in the second area, hit a target to enter the Scrap Room and you will find the C-3PO parts there. Use a buildable character to rebuild C-3PO and he will give you this minikit.
- (S) Like the first minikit, you'll find this minikit on a small ledge where you meet Lando in the second area.
- (S) Near the previous minikit, deactivate a barrier by destroying a generator, go to the end of the upper left hallway and you will find this minikit floating on a pile of parts. Use a buildable character to build a platform and then use the platform to reach this minikit.
- (S) During your second visit to the second area, you will find this minikit in the same place as the fifth minikit.
- (S) During your second visit to the first area, when you go to the place where you got the third minikit, there will be two Stormtroopers and an Imperial Navy Lieutenant there instead of a barrier. Defeat the Imperial Navy Lieutenant to reveal this minikit.
- (S) During your second visit to the second area, you will find this minikit in the same place as the first minikit.
- (S) At the end of the level, you will find this minikit on the roof of the Millennium Falcon. Climb onto the roof of the Falcon to reach it.
Unlockables[]
A MSE-6 will be available to purchase after obtaining all minikits in this level. In Mos Eisley Cantina you will be able to continue to Cloud City Rescue.
