Cloud City Trap is the tenth level in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. It is the fifth and final level of The Empire Strikes Back.

has had a vision of his friends

Story

Luke and R2-D2 arrive at Cloud City. Luke fights Darth Vader. Luke is dragged through a door and a window, until he fights Vader in a large chasm. At the end of the duel, Vader cuts off Luke's hand and reveals that he is his father. Luke decides not to join Vader and falls down a tunnel and hangs beneath Cloud City, as Vader becomes frustrated. The Millennium Falcon then rescues Luke and takes him to an escort frigate, where he receives a new hand.

Walkthrough

At the beginning of the level, you'll see a cutscene of Luke arriving at Cloud City (unless you entered the level from Continue Story after completing the previous level). When the scene ends, you will appear on a sidewalk. Go to the door on the left, defeat two Stormtroopers, and jump to the high ledge above as Luke. There, defeat two more Stormtroopers, build a platform, wait for R2-D2 to stand on it, and use the Force to lift the platform. Then, go to the door on the left to reach the next area.

In the next area, defeat two Stormtroopers and use R2-D2 to hover over a gap. Next, hack an astromech panel to extend a bridge, allowing Luke to cross, and open the door that will take you to the next area.

In the next area, defeat all the Stormtroopers in the room and go to the right side to find a barrier and a code. The code may be random, so you'd better save it in your memory. Go to the door on the left side and through a walkway while defeating Stormtroopers until you reach another room. There, you will find three consoles and, on the right side, another code that may be similar to the one you saw in the other room. You can power up the consoles in two ways: the first is to use Luke's Force to turn them green and the second is to turn them blue using R2-D2. Remember the random code you saw in the previous room and make the lights on the consoles form the code. When you do this, return to the previous room and you will see that the barrier protecting a door has been deactivated. Go through the door and cross another walkway while defeating the Stormtroopers to reach another room. There, defeat three Stormtroopers and go to the door ahead to reach the next area.

In the next area, you will face Darth Vader in a boss fight. Don't move away from him or he'll use Force Choke on you. Hit him several times until you spend all twelve hearts and he will push you into a tunnel. From there, go to the door ahead, then go right, left, and finally go to the door on the right to reach the final area of ​​the level.

In the final area, you will face Vader in a second phase. Spend all twelve hearts on him like you did in the previous phase and he will push you towards a window and a ramp. Slide down the ramp, which can be difficult because it is very narrow, and you will face Vader in a third and final phase. Repeat the same thing you did in the previous two phases to spend all twelve hearts on Vader and play a scene and then another (one in version 1.0), ending the level.

Collectables

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

• Minikit Canisters
  1. (S) At the beginning of the level, go to the right side of the sidewalk to find this minikit in a small alcove above. Normally, you should get there with Boba Fett or Jango Fett, but it is possible to get there with Luke by double jumping from the light pole on the right. This makes it possible to get this minikit in Story.
  2. (F) Near the end of the first area, on the far right, you'll see a door that requires a bounty hunter. Use a bounty hunter to open it and reach a small area with this minikit.
  3. (F) To the right at the start of the second area, you'll see a barrier next to a Bespin panel. Use Lando or his Jabba's Palace variant on the Bespin panel to disable the barrier and go further right to find three Stormtroopers along with a slave girl and this minikit. Defeat the four enemies and jump to this minikit to obtain it.
  4. (S) You will find this minikit in the middle of the first room of the third area.
  5. (F) In the third area, as you head to the room with the three consoles, you will see a light pole on the right. Destroy it and use a character with blaster on a grapple point to cross a large gap and reach a special area. There, use a character with blaster again to reach the platform above and step on a button, deactivating some lasers. Then, go south, use a character with blaster again to reach another platform above, and step on another button to deactivate more lasers. Jump to the northern part of the next walkway, use a character with blaster to reach the upper northern platform and step on one more button to continue deactivating lasers. Jump to the southern part of the next walkway, use a character with blaster to reach the upper southern platform, and step on another button to deactivate more lasers. Finally, jump to the south part of the last walkway (be careful not to touch the lasers) and use a character with blaster to reach the upper platform with this minikit. You can get out of there by carefully jumping to the platforms on the right and using a character with blaster to return to the beginning of the area. When you return to the third area, the gap is large and there is no grapple point, so you will have to cross it with a hover character.
  6. (S) In the room with the three consoles in the third area, you will see this minikit behind some barriers on the right side of the room. Remember the code on the right by memory and enter it in the consoles to deactivate the barrier with this minikit.
  7. (S) As you cross the walkways that lead you to the last room of the third area, you will see this minikit on a floating platform in the distance. Use a hover character to get there and collect this minikit.
  8. (F) After the first phase against Vader in the fourth area, return to the carbonite chamber, jump to the platform with a ring of Blue Studs with Boba Fett or Jango Fett, and then jump to the platform on the left. On the north side of the platform, use Boba Fett or Jango Fett to reach the high platform on the right with this minikit. It can be very difficult to get there because sometimes the character doesn't jump as high.
  9. (S) At the second tunnel intersection in the fourth area, go right to find this mid-air minikit. Use a double jump character to reach it.
  10. (S) In the final area, during the third phase against Vader, you will see some platforms on the left side. Jump over them until you reach this minikit at the back. It is possible to do this in Story, but Vader can bother you with Force Choke, so it is recommended to do it in Free Play with an astromech droid.

Unlockables

After completing the level, you unlock Dagobah Luke and Cloud City Luke. Obi-Wan Force will be unlocked after obtaining all minikits in this level.

• If the player enters the Story Mode version of this level from Mos Eisley Cantina, a cutscene where Luke arrives at Cloud City will play, but is skipped if the player enters the Story Mode version of this level after completing the previous level.
• In version 1.0, the ending scene of The Empire Strikes Back is omitted, but was added in version 1.1.
