Cloud City Rescue is the tenth level in the Game Boy Advance version of LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. It is the fifth and final level of The Empire Strikes Back.
Story[]
Luke Skywalker and R2-D2 arrive at Cloud City. Luke fights Darth Vader. At the end of the duel, Vader cuts off Luke's hand and reveals that he is his father. Luke lets go of what he is holding and falls through a tunnel and hangs beneath Cloud City. Later, he is rescued off-screen.
Walkthrough[]
Cloud City Docking Platform[]
You start on a landing pad. Go to the end of the lower left bridge and head towards an arrow to move to the next area.
Cloud City Sector 1[]
In the next area, go down the lower right hallway and you will find enemies. Luke can defeat them by using his lightsaber as a boomerang with the L button, similar to Anakin in the Game Boy Advance version of the first game. Go down the lower left hallway a little and go to the place where you had gone to the second area of the previous level to go to the third area of this level.
Cloud City Sector 2[]
In the next area, it is almost the same as the second area of the previous level, but now since Lando is not on your team, you must go to the upper left hallway when you reach the place where you met Lando. Go to the end of the upper left hallway and then go to the end of the upper right hallway. Move forward a little to the upper left hallway and use R2-D2 to hack an astromech panel and disable a barrier. Then, switch to Luke, defeat more enemies, and climb a ledge to reach the next area.
Carbonite Chamber[]
In the next area, cross the upper right bridge and you will face Darth Vader. His boss fight is similar to the boss fights in the Game Boy Advance version of the first game, especially Darth Maul's in the Return to Naboo Forest level. He will use his Dark Force to take you down and you will also have to be in a saber duel when you attack him. You will have to hold down the B button as quickly as you can. If the bar above the duel is green, you will deal damage to him. You will move to the final area when you take away half of Vader's health.
Sensor Balcony[]
In the final area of the level, Vader will start throwing objects at you. Dodge them and spend Vader's entire health bar to see a cutscene where he claims to be Luke's father. When the cutscene ends, the level will end.
Collectables[]
S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.
- Minikit Canisters
- (S) Near a small ledge in the second area, go to the end of the upper right hallway and enter a docking platform. There cross the upper right bridge and you will find this minikit floating in the center of the area. Climb to the top of the pile of parts and use a Jedi character to reach this minikit (no need to build a platform).
- (F) Go back to the small ledge in the second area and go to the end of the lower left hallway. Enter the docking platform where you would find the Millennium Falcon in the previous level, cross the upper right bridge, build an astromech panel with a buildable character, and use an astromech droid on the panel to disable a barrier. You will find this minikit floating in the center of the platform. Climb to the top of the pile of parts and use a Jedi character to reach this minikit (no need to build a platform).
- (S) At the beginning of the hallway that leads you to the next area, you will find this minikit floating in the left corner. Use a Jedi character to reach it.
- (F) Before going to the third area, go to the upper right hallway and you will find this minikit behind a barrier. Use a buildable character to build an Imperial panel and then use an Imperial member on it to disable the barrier and grab this minikit.
- (S) As you go down the second upper left hallway in the second area, hit a target to enter the Scrap Room and you will find this minikit floating above the conveyor belt. Jump towards it to get it.
- (S) When you reach the place where you met Lando in the previous level, you will find this minikit on a small ledge.
- (F) Near the previous minikit, use a buildable character to build an astromech panel and hack it with an astromech droid to disable a barrier. Go to the end of the lower right hallway, build a Bespin panel with a buildable character, and use Lando Calrissian on the panel to open a door to the Dining Room. There, defeat three Imperial Navy Troopers and grab this minikit in the middle of the table.
- (S) Go to the far right of the fourth area and you will find this minikit floating on a platform. Use a Jedi character to reach the platform and reach this minikit.
- (S) To the bottom right of the previous minikit, you will find this minikit on another platform nearby. Do the same thing you did with the previous minikit to get to this one.
- (S) You'll find this minikit floating in the top corner of the final area of the level. Get behind an object and use a Jedi character to reach this minikit.
Unlockables[]
Darth Vader will be available to purchase after obtaining all minikits in this level. In Mos Eisley Cantina you can buy Princess Leia (Bespin) and Lando Calrissian.
