Chase McCain (Police) is a character that is playable in LEGO City Undercover.
Story[]
After being sent away for 2 years, Chase McCain returns to LEGO City and learns from Mayor Gleeson that Rex Fury has escaped from prison. He goes to the police station where he meets Frank Honey who shows him around. He calls Natalia Kowalski who is now in witness protection after Chase exposed her identity during the Rex Fury case and works at Mercy Hearts Hospital. Chase reunites with Marion Dunby, the former deputy who is now the police chief, and orders him to get a uniform on in the basement. Chase meets Ellie Phillips, who gives him a scanner which can help him with solving crimes.
Dunby gives a briefing on Rex when all of a sudden, some criminals rob the bank at Cherry Tree Hills. Chase apprehends the robbers, and then goes to deal with a roadblock at Auburn Bay Bridge. Natalia drives across the bridge while speeding, and Chase goes to stop her. After stopping her, Natalia claims that she wants to leave LEGO City.
Chase gets a call from Ellie about some criminals on top of a building near Denny's Diner. Chase goes after the criminals and interrogates one of them about Rex. The criminal says that Blue at Albatross Prison might know something about how Rex escaped. At the prison, Blue tells Chase that nobody is allowed to go into Rex's cell, including the police, so he helps him sneak in. Chase finds a hammer which looks as if it's from the Bluebell Mine. Ellie says that a man named Clarence Fletcher was a witness of a theft at the Bluebell Mine. Chase goes to investigate the mines, and upon exiting them, Rex Fury knocks him out. The sheriff, Duke Huckleberry, and Natalia find him. Chase asks why Natalia is there, and the sheriff says she is looking for her dad, and Natalia says and does not want Chase to intervene. The sheriff tells Chase that he can learn kung fu at Barry Smith's Dojo to prevent himself from getting knocked out again. After an intense training session, Chase gets a call from Frank who has been captured by some members of Chan Chuang's gang while he was delivering the new truck to the police station. Chase fights them, then drives the truck to the police station, where the mayor and the chief are waiting. Chase informs the mayor and the chief about Chan Chuang.
Chase is sent undercover in Chan Chaung's gang to see if he is linked to Rex. He listens to something a couple of Chan's gang members said about Bucky Butler being at the Art Gallery. Chase goes to the Art Gallery to arrest Bucky Butler who stole a painting. Chase then goes to Chan's Limo Place where he is sent on a job to deliver Blackwell to a show he is seeing. He is then sent to steal a car from a building in Paradise Sands. He returns to the Chan's Limo Place and sees someone robbing it. He chases after them only to realize that they are Natalia, who is looking for evidence about her dad going missing. She says that she found empty money bags from Pappalardo's Ice Cream Parlor. Chase suspects that Chan is working for Vinnie Pappalardo who is working for Rex, so he goes undercover in his gang. Chase talks to Moe De Luca, Vinnie's cousin, and he says that Vinnie wants him to deliver some color guns to his place. Chase delivers the color guns, and meets with Vinnie. Vinnie wants Chase to steal the Bell Pepper Emerald from the LEGO City Bank, so he goes to do just that. After doing so, he gets a call from Chan about stealing a moon buggy from the Apollo Island Space Centre. After stealing the moon buggy, Chase gets a call about Blackwell being held hostage on top of a building in Downtown, so he goes to rescue him. He then gets a call from Natalia, who is being held hostage at Chan's Scrapyard. Chase rescues her, and then is sent to deal with smaller issues with the Sheriff.
After rounding up some pigs at Hayes Farm, Chase is sent on a job by Vinnie to steal a T-Rex skeleton from the museum. He takes it to the LEGO City Airport, and then is sent to steal a boat from the LEGO City Fire Department. Chase takes the boat to Vinnie, and then gets a call from Natalia who has been captured by some sentinels. Chase rescues her, and she thanks him. Chase returns to Pappalardo's Ice Cream Parlor, where Moe De Luca tells him about Vinnie's meeting with his "private buyer". Chase goes to the meetings and finds out that Vinnie is indeed working for Rex. Vinnie is tired of working for Rex, so he tells Chase to rob Blackwell's Mansion just for them. Chase is caught by Blackwell's security and runs out of the mansion without stealing anything. In response of Vinnie deciding to stop working for him, Rex sends some of his goons to lock him in a freezer. Chase rescues him, and they interrogate Jimmy Grossman, one of Rex's goons, about a job to steal a crane at the construction site. Jimmy says Chase can take his place during the job. Chase goes to the construction site, and helps the goons steal the crane, which they take to the observatory. They steal the telescope, and then go to Rex's Secret Base. At the base, Chase overhears Rex talking to his boss about getting all of the stuff. After sneaking through the base, Chase finds Professor Kowalski, Natalia's father, being held captive by Rex and Rex's boss, Blackwell, who needed some of his inventions. Blackwell also had Natalia hostage. Chase rescues the professor and they both go to Blackwell's mansion to investigate there. They find a model of Blackwell's Moon Base, which is using the professor's phased polarity exclusion field which lets you breath in space. Chase realizes that Blackwell can't fit all of his goons in a rocket on Apollo Island, and realizes that the rocket in the module is Blackwell Tower. Chase goes to the professor's lab to gather some machines which can set up a force field. Chase sets up the force field around Blackwell Tower, so during liftoff, it doesn't burn everything within 10 blocks. Chase then uses a shuttle on Apollo Island to reach Blackwell's Moon Base. There, Chase goes to defeat Blackwell and Rex, and to save Natalia. Rex turned the T-Rex skeleton from the museum into a mech, which he fights Chase with. Chase knocks him into the energy tanks which run Blackwell's Moon Base. The rocket explodes, and Chase and Rex fight a bit more. Chase gets into the command module which Natalia is in and activates the breaks. They touch down in LEGO City where they are greeted by the mayor, the chief, Frank, and Ellie. Rex crashes through someone's roof and is arrested by some officers.
