Marcus Brody is a museum curator who's good friends with Indiana Jones and is often the motivation for his adventures, wanting an artifact for his museum or needing Indy's help. Although he's very book smart, he tends to be clumsy and even got lost in his own museum. During The Last Crusade he was unable to speak any local languages and couldn't tell he was being led into an obvious trap.
