Biplane Blast is the twelfth villain level of LEGO Batman: The Videogame. It is the second villain level of The Joker's Return.

Opening Dialogue[]

"When will that caped goon learn to LIGHTEN

UP?"

"I do love an evening flight over the city.

Don't you, Scarecrow?"

"So many obstacles to send Batman crashing to

the ground. I'm... I'm so EXCITED!"

Story[]

After the Mad Hatter is taken to prison and Harley Quinn is put in a Police Van, the Joker tries to get to the cathedral with the Scarecrow. They scare a policeman while they are in their air vehicles. The cops come to stop them. The villains destroy a Police Battle Helicopter gunship and then mess with two people as a couple. When the man proposes to his girlfriend, she notices the Scarecrow and the Joker coming. The woman hides under the table to avoid being caught. The Scarecrow grabs the man and leaves him on the highest point of a building.

Walkthrough[]

At the start of the level, destroy a crystal object to reveal a floating mine station. Switch to the Joker's Helicopter to grab the mine with a hook. Take it to a silver object to destroy some fans. Switch to the Scarecrow's Biplane to grab torpedoes from a station, then shoot a turret to destroy a barrier. Go into the next area.

In the next area, simply shoot a clock tower to destroy it and move on. Switch to the Joker's Helicopter to grab a mine with a hook. Take it to a silver wall to destroy it and enter the final area.

In the final area, you will come face to face with a Police Battle Helicopter. Destroy some billboard poles to bring them down, then take out a mine with the Joker's Helicopter to destroy a silver object and reveal a turret. Switch to the Scarecrow's Biplane to fire a torpedo at a turret. The turret will shoot at the helicopter and deal damage. Do the same with another turret and the helicopter can take damage from shots. Shoot the helicopter until it runs out of health to finish the level.

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

Minikit Canisters
1. (S) Use a vehicle that can use a grappling hook to knock over a spiky tower and get this minikit.
2. (F) Use Bat torpedoes to destroy giant fences, then shoot four red lights to turn green and reveal a button. Use a hook-able vehicle to pull the button and reveal this minikit.
3. (S) Carries a mine with a vehicle that can use hook to destroy a silver window and reveal 3 balloons. Destroy all 3 balloons to get this minikit.
4. (S) Take a mine with a vehicle that can use hook to destroy a silver object and get this minikit.
5. (S) Flip 3 Joker billboards in the second area, then destroy the minikit in front of each one to get this minikit:
  1. Close to the beginning of the area.
  2. Shortly after destroying the clock tower.
  3. Near the second billboard.
6. (S) Use Bat torpedoes or Scarecrow torpedoes to destroy a Scarecrow banner. The minikit will be in the bottom right corner.
7. (F) Use bat torpedoes to destroy a heavy object, then use a vehicle that can use a hook to move the crane and get this minikit.
8. (F) Destroy 10 water towers throughout the level to receive this minikit:
  1. Near the beginning of the level.
  2. Near a Bat torpedoes station.
  3. Near the first minikit.
  4. Near the barriers.
  5. Near the fourth minikit.
  6. Near the third police helicopter.
  7. Near the last two Joker billboards.
  8. Near the fifth police helicopter.
  9. Near a Fear torpedoes station.
  10. Use Bat torpedoes to destroy some giant fences to find this water tower.
9. (F) Use Bat torpedoes to destroy a crane and burn a train, then use a vehicle that can use hook to destroy a silver object with a mine and get this minikit.
10. (F) Use a vehicle that can use a hook to take a mine to the place where you meet the tenth water tower to destroy a silver object and get this minikit.

Immune To Freeze Red Brick
- (S) Destroy 5 police helicopters to get this red brick:
  1. Near the beginning of the level.
  2. Near the barriers.
  3. Near a water tower in the second area.
  4. Near the clock tower.
  5. Near a Joker billboard.

Unlockables[]

The minikit model in this level is a Batwing. After completing the level, you unlock The Joker's Helicopter and The Scarecrow's Biplane. In the Batcave or Arkham Asylum you can buy a Police Helicopter and a Goon Helicopter. You will also be able to continue to The Joker's Masterpiece. After collecting the Red Brick, you can purchase Immune To Freeze.
