Batwing Chase is the thirteenth hero level in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Batman: The Videogame. It is the third hero level of The Joker's Last Laugh.

Story[]

The duo return to their air vehicles and pursue the Joker and Scarecrow, who attempt to reach Gotham Cathedral in the latter's biplane. The Joker notices the heroes and asks Scarecrow to fly away quickly. Batman successfully shoots the biplane with a missile, causing it to begin falling.

Walkthrough[]

You start off automatically flying through the skies of Gotham. Your objective will be to reach the Scarecrow. Try to avoid all the obstacles and building you see on your way, as crashing into them can slow down your Batwing. You will also encounter Goon Helicopters and Zeppelins on your way, which will shoot bullets at you. Dodge the bullets and shoot at the Goon Helicopters and Zeppelins to destroy them. Make sure to press the A button to use turbo so you can quickly get to the Scarecrow. Be careful of crashing into obstacles, as they can take away your hearts. If the Scarecrow reaches the end before you can catch him, no problem, he'll stay there until you catch him and can continue the level normally. You will see several large water tanks to dodge. Dodge at least seven large water tanks. It is recommended to press the down arrow on the D-Pad to slow down and dodge the large water tanks easily. After dodging the large water tanks, you'll face Scarecrow's Biplane in a boss fight. It has 10 hearts, but if you reached it before reaching the end, you could have taken some from it. Dodge the bullets it throws at you and shoot it continuously until you remove its hearts to finish the level.

Collectables[]

Since it is a level that cannot be played in Free Play, all collectibles can only be obtained in Story.

  • Minikit Canisters
    1. Destroy five Goon Helicopters to obtain this minikit.
    2. Find three Riddler tokens throughout the level to get this minikit:
      1. When you start the level, keep on the right side to find this Riddler token.
      2. Just after the studs that form the Batwing symbol, keep on the right side to find this Riddler token.
      3. A little before the end, keep a little to the left to find this Riddler token.
    3. When you reach the third junction, go to the path on the right to find this minikit.
    4. A little after the Red Power Brick, keep in the middle to find this minikit on top of a building.
    5. In the large water tanks part, fly over seven buttons without missing any to get this minikit:
      1. The first button is in the center, a little after the start.
      2. The second button is on the left side, a little after the previous one.
      3. The third button is on the right side, to the right of a Goon Zeppelin.
      4. The fourth button is in the center, a little after the previous one.
      5. The fifth button is on the right side, to the right of another Goon Zeppelin.
      6. The sixth button is on the left side, to the left of one more Goon Zeppelin.
      7. The seventh button is in the center, a little after the previous one.
  • Blue Key Red Power Brick
    • Note: This Red Power Brick can also be obtained on the villain side of this level. A little after the third turn, you'll find three buttons on the right. Fly through them without missing any to get this Red Power Brick.
  • The Batwing Joker Card
    • Reach Scarecrow's Biplane before it reaches the end and remove at least four hearts to get this Joker Card. It is recommended to grab boost power ups to increase your turbo.

Unlockables[]

In the Batcave you will be able to continue to The Art Gallery. After collecting the Red Power Brick, you can purchase Blue Key.
