B1 Battle Droids were created by the Trade Federation and made up the bulk of their invading forces. B1 Battle Droids were designed to overwhelm their enemy through sheer numbers, rather than one-on-one combat. This is part due to their flimsy build and occasional glitches that often lead to unique personality quirks.
