Arctic World is the tenth hero level in the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Batman: The Videogame. It is the fifth and final hero level of Power-Crazed Penguin.

Story

Upon arriving at the Arctic World, they find the Penguin's secret cave, guarded by many Penguin Goons. The duo defeat the goons and enter the cave. They spend time infiltrating the base until they find the Penguin and Catwoman, with the Penguin Minions machine already in operation. The Penguin sends Catwoman and several goons in an attempt to stop the heroes, but ends up failing. The dynamic duo manage to get the diamond out of the machine, causing it to explode and destroy all of the Penguin Minions. Arresting the Penguin, Catwoman uses her whip to retrieve the diamond from the duo and attempts to escape. However, Batman uses his batwhip to trip Catwoman and retrieve the diamond. Catwoman ends up imprisoned again with the Penguin in Arkham Asylum.

Walkthrough

You start at the entrance to the Penguin's secret cave. Two Penguin Goons will attack you. Defeat them and two more Penguin Goons will come from the ledge above. Defeat them too and the gates will open. Enter the cave to reach the next area.

In the next area, two Penguin Goons will jump off the right ledge and attack you. Defeat them and destroy a gray box on the left to build a suit swapper. Use it with Batman to put on the Demolition Suit. With the Demolition Suit, place a detonator near a red box on the right and detonate it to destroy the box and build a tightrope. Walk the tightrope with Robin to cross the water. On the other side of the water, build a button on the wall and press it to raise two platforms for Batman. Have both characters step on two buttons to build another tightrope. Walk along it with Robin, build another button on the wall and press it to raise two more platforms for Batman. Use Batman to destroy a red lock and pull a lever to lower the bars on the right. Destroy a red box on the right with Batman to build a grapple point and use it to reach the platform above. On that platform, build a lever and pull it to lower the bars into the river below. Wait for a moving platform to pass, jump onto it, then jump onto the next non-moving platform. Then, wait for another platform to rise, jump onto it and then onto the ledge on the right. On that ledge, pull a handle to raise the bars back into the river and stop a moving platform for the second character. Wait for the second character to arrive and have both of them step on a large button to lower the bars in front. Go through the newly opened passage to reach the next area.

In the next area, use Batman to destroy a red and black box on the right and build a platform. When you do this, two Penguin Goons will come from the path you crossed. Defeat them, jump across the platforms and use Batman's Batarang or Robin's Birdarang to hit two glowing red targets and turn them green. This will drop a gray box to the right, allowing you to build a tightrope. Walk the tightrope with Robin and destroy a stack of white boxes on the right to build a button. Step on it to reveal pieces on the left ledge. Walk the tightrope again and use the revealed pieces to build a grapple point. This grapple point will allow Batman to reach the right side of the river. With Batman on the right side, drop down from the ledge and destroy a red box to build a lever. Pull it to raise a large platform in the middle of the river. Jump onto that platform and have both characters press two buttons to make a series of moving platforms appear ahead. Jump onto the nearest moving platform to reach the final area.

In the final area, jump to the ledge on the right and head north. You will find the diamond inside the Penguin Minions machine. The Penguin will be on a ledge that you can't reach and he will send Catwoman to attack you. Hit Catwoman until you take away three hearts from her. By removing three hearts, Catwoman will return to the high left ledge and you can build a hatch on the right. Defeat two Penguin Goons and build the hatch on the right side. Enter it with Robin, build a button and step on it to deactivate the right barrier. Switch to Batman and destroy a red and black generator so that the right green light turns red. Catwoman will attack you again. Take away another three hearts from her and she will jump to the high left ledge once again. Defeat two more Penguin Goons, build another hatch to the left and enter it with Robin. Build another button and step on it to deactivate the left barrier. Destroy another red and black generator with Batman to make the left green light turn red. When both green lights turn red, the barrier protecting the two glowing red targets will be deactivated. Hit targets with Batman's Batarang or Robin's Birdarang to turn them green and open the machine with the diamond. Build a grapple point in the middle and use it with Batman to get the diamond out of the machine. Then, go towards the diamond to finish the level.

Collectables

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

• Minikit Canisters
  1. (S) Find three Riddler tokens throughout the level to get this minikit:
     1. In the first area, use a small character to enter a hatch in the upper right corner and destroy a stack of white boxes to reveal this Riddler token.
     2. At the far right of the second area, destroy a stack of white boxes in the lower right corner to reveal this Riddler token.
     3. On the left side of the third area, destroy a penguin statue to the left of the entrance to reveal this Riddler token.
  2. (S) In the first area, build a grapple point on the southwest side and use a character with grappling hook on it to reach a high ledge. On that ledge, use an explosive character to destroy a red box and reveal this minikit. It is possible to obtain this minikit in Story Mode by putting on the Demolition Suit in the second area and then going back through the passage to return to the first area.
  3. (F) On the platform with the lever near the end of the second area, use a glide character to glide to the right and reach the platform with this minikit.
  4. (F) On the right side of the third area, use a character with super strength to pull a pair of golden handles and destroy a wall. Then, use an immune to cold character to build this minikit into a freezing smoke.
  5. (S) In the final area, destroy a white box in the lower left corner to reveal this minikit.

• Score x6 Red Power Brick
  • (F) Note: This Red Power Brick can also be obtained on the villain side of this level. In the first area, use a high-jumper character to reach the left ledge and use a character with super strength to pull a pair of golden handles and reveal a red box. Destroy it with an explosive character to build a grapple point and use it with a character with grappling hook to reach the higher ledge. On that ledge, quickly press four buttons from left to right to open the bars with this Red Power Brick.

• Catwoman Joker Card
  • (F) In the third area, use a character with gun to turn three dark red targets green and reveal this Joker Card on the left side:
    1. The first dark target is on the left side, to the right of the entrance.
    2. The second dark target is on the left side, behind the red and black box.
    3. On the right side, destroy a penguin statue next to the golden handles to build the third dark target.

Unlockables

After completing the level, you unlock a Penguin Goon. In Arkham Asylum you will be able to start Power-Crazed Penguin on the villain side (only if you completed Gotham Streets (Villain)). After collecting the Red Power Brick, you can purchase Score x6.
