- Boromir: Warning? I ask only for the strength to defend my people! [Angry, he throws the collected firewood on the ground] If you would but lend me the Ring...
- Frodo: No. [He takes a step back]

Story[]
The devastated Fellowship arrives Lothlórien, ruled by the Elf-queen Galadriel, who privately informs Frodo that only he can complete the quest and that one of the Fellowship will attempt to take the Ring. She also shows him a vision of the future in which Sauron manages to enslave Middle-earth, including the Shire. Meanwhile, Saruman gathers an army of Uruk-hai in Isengard to find and kill the Fellowship.
The Fellowship travels by river to Parth Galen. Frodo walks away and confronts Boromir, who, as Lady Galadriel had warned, attempts to take the Ring. The Uruk-hai scouts then ambush the Fellowship, attempting to kidnap the Hobbits. Boromir breaks free of the Ring's magic and protects Merry and Pippin, but the Uruk-hai leader, Lurtz, mortally wounds Boromir while they kidnap the Hobbits. Aragorn arrives and kills Lurtz before comforting Boromir as he dies, promising to aid the people of Gondor in the coming conflict. Fearing that the Ring will corrupt his friends, Frodo decides to travel alone to Mordor, but allows Sam to accompany him, remembering his promise to Gandalf to take care of him. While Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli set out to rescue Merry and Pippin, Frodo and Sam descend the Emyn Muil Pass, traveling towards Mordor.
Walkthrough[]
Level Prelude[]
After finishing the previous level, you will appear near the entrance to the Mines of Moria. Follow the path of studs and head to the stairs marked with an arrow to play a cutscene.
When the scene ends, Frodo will receive a Phial of Light, Sam will receive an Elven Rope, and Legolas will receive a new bow. You will be rowing on Rowing Boats. Just keep pressing the attack button and the rowing boat will keep moving forward. Follow the path of studs and paddle towards the arrow to start the level.
Level Walkthrough[]
The first area will be divided by two perspectives. From Frodo's perspective, you will have to trick Boromir, similar to how you tricked Ringwraith in The Black Rider level. Although Frodo is invisible, he can still be noticed if you stand in a bush next to Boromir. Pick up the stone on the right and throw it at the highlighted bush so that Boromir moves away and makes way for you. To avoid the next obstacle, enter a hatch and push down a pillar. When Boromir runs up the stairs, build stairs from the remains of the pillar and use them to go around him. Break a rock to the left to receive a small stone and throw it at the stone hand at the background. Use some twilight bricks to build stairs that will take you to the rock ledge above. On the rock ledge, hit the statue in front of you to drop three statues and make Boromir go to the right. At the next obstacle, destroy everything around you to collect enough twilight bricks and build a catapult. After building the catapult, hit the stand to shoot a large rock and drop the head of a large statue, carrying Boromir further. At the next obstacle, pick up a rock to the left of the path and throw it at another highlighted bush to push Boromir away to the right. Hit the small rock next to your feet and you will get a small rock. Then use it to knock down a branch to the left and get some twilight bricks. Use them to build a ladder and use it to push down a large pillar and drop two pillars which will push Boromir away. Near the end of the perspective, use a hatch to reach the opposite rock ledge, break a rock to the right and grab a small rock. Throw the stone at the top of the entrance and the rubble will fall and hit Boromir, making him flee. Go up to the end of the hill and the Eye of Sauron will try to take the Ring. Press the action button several times until the Eye of Sauron disappears, ending the perspective.
From Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas' perspective, destroy some pallets on the right, near the Rowing Boat, to get a torch. Light it on fire from a campfire on the left side of the place and use it to burn the logs blocking your path. Switch to Legolas, jump as high as possible to reach the highest platform and follow the vines to the tree branch. From its highest point, shoot at a target, knocking down a bird's nest. With the remaining bricks, build a trampoline thanks to which the whole team can reach higher. A little further on, use Gimli's axe to create a passage. You will find a difficult puzzle. Go to a broken slab on the ground to the left with Gimli, jump and press the attack button just in time to destroy it and build a platform. To the right, grab Gimli with Aragorn or Legolas and throw him at a broken tile on a pillar to destroy it. Climb the broken statue with Legolas, shoot an arrow into a gap to create a handhold that will take you to the platform above. There, push a pillar down to create another platform. Then push both platforms so you can jump from the smaller one to the larger one from there to the rock ledge at the background. Once again, use Gimli's axe to destroy two broken tiles. The second tile will require you to cast Gimli. Destroy the remains of the rubble, use the bricks to build a hole, and shoot an arrow with Legolas to create a handhold. Use Legolas to grab the handhold from the log and reach the other side. There, build a small pillar with the bricks from the rubble and push it down so the other characters can join the Elf. Take Frodo's sword with Aragorn and trace the footprints on the ground to locate the hobbit. You'll know you're close when Aragorn starts searching on his knees. You'll know you've found it when Aragorn begins digging in the ground, ending the prospect. You'll move on to the next area when you're done with both perspectives.
In the next area, take out all the Uruk-hai, especially the ones on the pillars since they use bows. Defeat them either by destroying the pillars they stand on or by attacking with Legolas' bow. Clean the place and do the same in the next one. At the last place, throw Gimli onto a broken slab to open a path to the three Uruk-hai with shields. Defeat all of the remaining Uruk-hai to proceed to the final area.
In the final area, you will fight Lurtz. Since you don't have ranged characters, you'll have to use what you have left. Switch to Merry or Pippin, enter the hatch and attack Lurtz to remove a heart. Lurtz will throw the hobbit to the ground and the Uruk-hai will block the hatch with stones. If any of the Uruk-hai manage to grab a hobbit, switch to another character and hit the enemy to make him let go. Defeat the Uruk-hai, destroy the rocks, enter the hatch with Merry or Pippin, and hit Lurtz to remove another heart. Unfortunately, the hatch will be locked again. However, a group of Uruk-hai will knock down a tree on the right side of the area. Use its remains to build a trampoline, use it to reach Lurtz and hit him to remove his last heart and end this phase of the boss fight.
In the second phase of the fight, Merry and Pippin will be replaced by Aragorn. This phase is even easier than the previous one, as you will only have to dodge Lurtz's attacks and wits to make the angry enemy throw his shield. When he jumps to retrieve his equipment, hit him to remove a heart. After two hits, Lurtz will decide to fight you directly, nothing could be easier for experienced warriors. If he manages to grab one of your characters, switch to the other and attack him. Repeat this three times to finish the level.
Collectables[]
S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.
- Minikit Chests
- (F) Hit six statues in both perspectives of the first area to reveal this minikit. Note: To hit the first two targets, you will need to have a bow like the Mithril Cluster Bow in your inventory, since you cannot switch characters from Frodo's perspective.
- Next to the first stairs from Frodo's perspective.
- On the right side of the place where you have to build a catapult.
- When you enter the second hatch with Frodo, you will find this statue on the right side of the rock ledge.
- On the left side of the starting place from the perspective of Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas.
- From Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas' perspective, after destroying the first cracked slab with an axe-wielding character, you will find this statue to the left of the path.
- At the end of Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas' perspective, you will find this statue in the north.
- (S) After breaking the stone hand to get some twilight bricks, destroy it to reveal this minikit behind it.
- (F) A little further ahead with the catapult, after fooling Boromir for fourth time, shoot a target with a bow like Mithril Cluster Bow. This will cause a rock to roll out and stop near the catapult. Return to the catapult and rebuild it. Then, hit the stand to shoot the rock and destroy it to reveal this minikit.
- (F) At the beginning of Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas' perspective in the first area, use a character with an Elven Rope to snag the hook on a pillar to the right, next to another pillar. This will cause the pillar you hooked to fall. Use a character with magic to build a statue identical to the one on the right. The two statues will rotate and this minikit will appear.
- (F) From the perspective of Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas in the first area, use a character capable of breaking Morgul objects to destroy four Morgul pillars and reveal this minikit:
- On the right side of the starting place, behind the Rowing Boats.
- On the left side of the starting place, near the chest where the ghost sits. You will need a character with super strength to reach it.
- On the platform containing a pillar you must push it down.
- At the end of the path, in the lower right corner of the ruins.
- (S) From Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas' perspective in the first area, instead of placing the pillars on the left side, place them on the right and jump over them with a high-jumper character to find this minikit behind a rock.
- (F) At the end of the hill from Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas' perspective in the first area, where the hook is, is a dark cave. Light it up with a character that can light up and destroy the stone inside to get this minikit. But be careful, there will be an Orc in that cave.
- (F) In the upper left corner of the third spot in the second area, you will find a spot where you can place a plant. Use a gardener character to place a plant that will take you this minikit.
- (F) In the second area, in the third place, go to the lower right corner and you will find a passage that will take you to a silver door. Destroy it with the Berserker's bombs to enter a special area. In that special area, use a character with an Elven Rope to attach the rope to a grappling hook and climb onto the platform. There, use an archer character to shoot a target and build another platform. Use a high-jumper character to jump to the new platform and then to the next ledge. Grab the handholds and jump to the top where you can use Sam to light a campfire. This will burn the plants blocking a hatch. Enter into it using a small character and then bounce off the mushroom with a high-jumper character to reach this minikit.
- (F) On the right side of the final area, use a character with an Elven Rope to snag a grappling hook. This will cause six targets to appear around the area. Hit them with an archer character to get this minikit. Here are the locations of the targets:
- At the far right of the area, on a structure.
- A little to the left of the grappling hook, on a branch.
- At the top right of Lurtz's place.
- At the top left of Lurtz's place.
- At the far left of the area, on a ledge.
- At the top left of the hatch, on a structure.
- (F) Hit six statues in both perspectives of the first area to reveal this minikit. Note: To hit the first two targets, you will need to have a bow like the Mithril Cluster Bow in your inventory, since you cannot switch characters from Frodo's perspective.
- Treasures
- Stop Wand
- (F) Near the end of Frodo's perspective in the first area, after tricking Boromir one last time, equip a rope (like Mithril Rope), stand where Boromir was previously, and press the action button to reach the top. When you're up there, move a little from the middle to change your weapon to an axe (like Mithril Shockwave Axe). Jump on the broken tile and press the attack button at that time to destroy it and reveal this treasure. Store it in your inventory.
- Arrow Helmet
- (F) At the beginning of Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas' perspective in the first area, use a character with an Elven Rope to reach the pillar to the left of the entrance. Then, hit a plant to get a tomato. On the far right side of the place, behind the Rowing Boats, use a digger character to dig up an egg. At the far left of the place, use a character with super strength to pull an orange handle and find a ghost begging for food. A little to the right of him, use a digger character to dig up a fish. Once you have all the ingredients, combine them in Sam's frying pan, go to the campfire and put the frying pan on so that the ghost will leave and allow you to store this treasure in your inventory.
- Uruk Sword
- (F) In the second area, to the left of the second spot, you will find two silver pillars. Destroy them with the Berserker's bombs to store this treasure in your inventory.
- Stop Wand
- Blacksmith Design
- Mithril Rope
- (S) On the right side of Lurtz's place, hit a statue to drop this Blacksmith Design.
