Steal a Prison Truck and Get Moe Out of Jail

[Upon receiving a message from Chan]

Chan Chuang: What did you find in my office, driver?

Chase McCain: Oh, nothing. I think an animal got in and set the alarm off. Some sort of stubborn mule.

Chan Chuang: Not again?! THIS IS WHY I TOLD YOU NOT TO STORE CARROTS IN THERE! IDIOT!

Chase McCain: So don't worry, no one knows you're working for Vinnie Pappalardo.

Chan Chuang: Excellen- WHAT?! YOU LOOKED AT MY RECORDS!

Chase McCain: Sorry, I... I couldn't help it. But wow, Vinnie Pappalardo is one heck of a criminal.

Chan Chuang: Maybe so, but unlike me, Vinnie Pappalardo has quite a temper. WHAT!? I AM VERY MILD-MANNERED! YOU'RE FIRED! Also, he doesn't trust anyone. Not since Moe, his right-hand man, got arrested. [Chuckles]

Chase McCain: Huh... Vinnie would probably be really grateful to anyone who could help with that...

Chan Chuang: Oh yeah, you could just steal a Prison Truck and then pick him up outside the courthouse where he's being sentenced today! Wait a minute! You're not thinking about joining his crew are you? You're my driver! [He cuts the call]

Chase McCain: Not for much longer. If I can get Moe out of jail, that could be my way into Vinnie's gang and get me one step closer to Rex...

Go Meet Chuck

[Upon receiving a message from Ellie]

Ellie Phillips: Hey Chase! Whatcha need?

Chase McCain: What can you tell me about Vinnie Pappalardo's right-hand man?

Ellie Phillips: Moe De Luca? He's not actually a criminal. He's just Vinnie's cousin.

Chase McCain: So why's he being sentenced?

Ellie Phillips: Uh, lemme check... Haha! Wow! Four hundred and twelve unpaid parking violations!

Chase McCain: Parking tickets? So... I suppose it won't really matter if he doesn't go to jail?

Ellie Phillips: What are you up to, Chase?

Chase McCain: Chan is working for Vinnie and I'm pretty sure Vinnie is working for Rex. But to get in with Vinnie... I'll need him to trust me.

Ellie Phillips: By busting out Moe De Luca? That doesn't sound very by the book.

Chase McCain: It's the only lead I've got. Does the department have a Prison Transport truck I can borrow?

Ellie Phillips: Maybe. Try Chuck, he's outside the back of the station. I'll tell him you're coming. [She cuts the call]

Meeting Chuck

[When heading towards Chuck]

Chuck Morrison: Hey there, Officer McCain! I been expectin' you.

Chase McCain: Great - so do you have a Prison Transport I can use?

Chuck Morrison: I sure do, but I could get into a lot of trouble for lendin' it out...

Chase McCain: Then maybe there's something I could -

Chuck Morrison: Perfect! You read my mind! [He grabs a remote control and uses it to open a garage door next to him] Grab that box and follow me!

Building a Motorcycle

[When grabbing the nearby box]

Chuck Morrison: Dump the box down over here. It's a bike I mail-ordered.

[When placing the box on the green pad]

Chuck Morrison: Oh man! They didn't include the wheels! Think you can find some spares?

[When attaching the first wheel to the motorcycle]

Chuck Morrison: That's one. Find another! It ain't a unicycle!

Built Motorcycle

[When attaching the second wheel to the motorcycle]

Chuck Morrison: That's two, find anoth - oh, wait - I'm thinkin' of tricycles! Well, it looks real nice! I wonder if it's safe to ride? I guess there's only one way I'm gonna find out! You should take it out for a spin. Jus' once round Cherry Tree Hills and Auburn Docks should do.

Time Trial Won

[When winning the Time Trial]

Chuck Morrison: Hey! That was pretty speedy! And it's still in one piece! [He opens a garage door with the prison transport truck] A deal is a deal. You'll find the Prison Transport truck in there.

Deceiving Pat

[As Moe talks, people take photos of him]

Moe De Luca: This ain't the last you've seen of Moe De Luca! I can do this sentence standing on my head thanks to my circus training!

[The Police Guards take Moe to the prison transport truck driven by Chase]

Pat Patterson: [on screen] There's the paperwork. [He hands the paperwork to Chase; off-screen] We won't be seeing Moe De Luca back on the street for at least eight years.

[A Police Guard closes the rear doors of the police transport truck]

Pat Patterson: Thanks to those parking tickets! [He knocks on the left door of Chase's police transport truck, before another one arrives] Another job done and the final day of my 36 year long career finished... and all without a single blemish!

Driver: [off-screen] Hey, Pat! [on screen] I'm here for Moe De Luca!

[Pat realizes that the prison transport truck he put Moe in was not the right one. Then an off-screen pigeon poops on him]

Carrying Moe

Chase McCain: Hey! You okay back there, Mr. De Luca?

Moe De Luca: I ain't talkin' to you. Just shut up an' take me ta Albatross.

Chase McCain: If you insist, but I don't really work for the prison, so we can go somewhere else if you like...

Moe De Luca: Whaa? Ah man! I knew Vinnie'd come through for me! What's your name, kid?

Chase McCain: Chase.

Moe De Luca: Don't know ya, don't care. Take me to the usual hideout.

Chase McCain: Aaaactually, I work for Chan Chuang, but I'm sick of it. I arranged this escape because I want to work for a real criminal.

Moe De Luca: Haha! Shows ya got guts, Chase. Cedar Street. That's where the hideout is.

Chase McCain: Looks like they figured out what I'm up to. This might get bumpy.

Moe De Luca: If it gets me out of an eight-year-stretch you can make it as bumpy as ya like!

[Upon reaching Bright Lights Plaza]

Moe De Luca: Y'know, this is making me all nostalgic for the time Jimmy Square Legs stuffed me in his trunk and drove me over the border. Happy days.

[Upon reaching Crosstown Tunnel]

Moe De Luca: We're gettin' close. So, d'you really want to jump ship to Vinnie's crew?

Chase McCain: Yeah.

Moe De Luca: Huh... I might be able to swing something. I mean you're good with me, kid, but Vinnie, he's another case altogether. You're gonna have to do something really special to get in with him.

Chase McCain: Whatever it takes, Mr. De Luca.

Arrival at the Hideout

Moe De Luca: Come round the back and let me out!

[Chase gets out of his prison transport truck and takes Moe out of there]

Moe De Luca: Thanks!

Vinnie Goon: Moe! You escaped! We was just formulatin a plan to bust you outta Albatross for Vinnie!

Moe De Luca: Too late - this kid beat you to it... Now get rid of that truck! Thanks, Chase. I'll be in touch.

[The Chan Goon on the left gets into the police transport truck and drives it to an unknown location]

Wait for Me in the Park South of The Airport

[Upon receiving a message from Moe]

Moe De Luca: Hey Chase! I think I've found your "in" with my cousin, Vinnie.

Chase McCain: That was fast! What is it?

Moe De Luca: My brother-in-law works at the airport. Said they got some shipment of fancy high-tech gizmos in from a security company out east. I know for a fact that Vinnie would really like to get his hands on them.

Chase McCain: And how do I get my hands on them in the first place?

Moe De Luca: Aah... Ok, I don't usually like to do jobs myself - but you did me a real solid back at the courthouse so I'll help you out this once. Meet me in the car park south of the airport.

Chase McCain: I'll get right over there. [He cuts the call]

Stop that Truck!

Chase McCain: I hope Moe doesn't take long...

Moe De Luca: Hey Chase! Hope I didn't keep ya waitin'!

Chase McCain: Not at all.

Moe De Luca: This car is for you. It belongs to my brother... ...who I don't get on with. So feel free to damage it.

Chase McCain: Don't worry - with my driving, that's a guarantee!

Moe De Luca: [Moe points to a delivery truck] Whoa! And that's the truck you gotta stop! Get in the car!

[When getting into the car]

Moe De Luca: Great! Now floor it!

Truck Stopped!

[When stopping the truck]

Driver: I'm outta here! I was long overdue a career change, anyway! So thanks very much, you're actually doing me a favor - I was stuck in a rut at that place! I'm going to pursue my dream of becoming an accountant! ...Is.

[Getting into the truck, Chase receives a message from Moe]

Moe De Luca: Nice drivin', Chase! I think you're gonna be a real asset to the crew. Now get the truck to Vinnie's restaurant. He might not know ya, but trust me, that shipment will smooth it over nicely. [He cuts the call]

Delivering the Truck

[Upon receiving a message from Ellie]

Ellie Phillips: I've been speaking with the Mayor's office and she says you can do whatever you need to and charge any costs to the department. Whatever it takes to catch Rex Fury.

Chase McCain: Your timing couldn't be better. I just took a delivery truck without permission.

Ellie Phillips: Don't worry, I already started a tab for you after Frank told me about the car you took for Chan.

Chase McCain: Frank actually passed that on? I'm impressed.

Ellie Phillips: Well, he was going to try asking Santa... ...but he checked with me first. I think he's starting to learn from his mistakes... I kinda feel proud of him.

Chase McCain: I'll keep you updated if I have to take anything else, Ellie. [He cuts the call]

Meeting Vinnie

Chase McCain: [off-screen] Vinnie Pappalardo ran the biggest gang in LEGO City, and now he wanted to see me. [on screen; first person view] His ice cream parlor was a gathering place for local hoodlums. There was Tony One-Time. So-called because he said everything once.

Tony One-Time: Hey!

Chase McCain: Paulie Blindfolds.

Paulie Blindfolds: No, tell him I can't see him today.

Chase McCain: Lucky Pete.

Lucky Pete: Good to see you! Whoa! [He falls down the stairs] Hey! I found a penny!

Chase McCain: The Crayfish Twins.

[A Waitress places a plate of dead crab on a table used by The Crayfish Twins]

Waitress: Sorry, wrong table! [She grabs the plate again]

Chase McCain: And Mikey Spoilers.

Mikey Spoilers: [He gets up from the chair] Check it out... When you get to the Space Center, you can knock down a planet from the ceiling to get a secret item. [He silences Chase]

[Chase opens a door that leads to Vinnie's office]

Vinnie Pappalardo: So, what? I amuse you? You think I'm here to make you laugh? You think I'm funny? Funny, how?

Vinnie Goon: Uh, er, I'm sorry boss, I didn't mean to...

Vinnie Pappalardo: GET OUTTA' HERE AND UNLOAD THE TRUCK!

Vinnie Goon: Waah! [He goes out to unload the truck]

[Chase coughs to greet Vinnie]

Vinnie Pappalardo: [He turns his chair; on screen] H-h-heey! You must be Chase! You come highly recommended! [off-screen] I won't forget what you did for my cousin. [He gets up from his chair; on screen] Oh, ignore the clothes kid, it's my boy's birthday! I wanted to give him a nice surprise, you know? [off-screen] I've been looking forward to getting my hands on the stuff you got me for some time. [Inside the locker room, he takes out his clown suit]

[A video of the Color Gun appears on the screen]

Vinnie Pappalardo: [off-screen] They're called "color guns", and they're of particular benefit to the less-than-legitimate fraternity. [The video ends; on screen] You know, us guys! Now, I need someone to see if these things really work by stealing the Bell Pepper Emerald from the LEGO City Bank in Downtown. [A small scene of the Bell Pepper Emerald appears] You wanna put one through its paces?

Chase McCain: Well, I've come this far...

Vinnie Pappalardo: That's right! And don't worry about how to use it, I'll have a read through these instructions and phone them through to you. [He places his clown nose on his own nose] Good luck, Chasey!

How to Enter the Bank

[Upon receiving a message from Ellie]

Chase McCain: Ellie, I'll have another thing for the tab soon. I'm about to break into a bank vault.

Ellie Phillips: Which one?

Chase McCain: LEGO City bank in Downtown.

Ellie Phillips: No problem. You need any help getting in?

Chase McCain: Sure!

Ellie Phillips: Oh... Right, there's an entrance to the sewer in the gardens opposite the bank.

Chase McCain: Whoa, wait - sewer? I can't just walk in the front door?

Ellie Phillips: It's a bank vault. The only way in is via a ventilation hatch on top of it. And the only way to that is via the sewer. Did you expect a red carpet?

Chase McCain: No. Fiiine. Thanks, Ellie... [He cuts the call]

Arrival at the Sewers

[Chase goes down the stairs that lead to the sewers]

Chase McCain: Ew... I am going to have to shower for a week after this...

[A squirrel riding a fish jumps over the water]

Squirrel: Yee-haw!

Find a Color Swapper

[Upon receiving a message from Vinnie]

Vinnie Pappalardo: Hey, Chase! You in the bank?

Chase McCain: I'm in a sewer.

Vinnie Pappalardo: Wow, did you take a wrong turn! Ah, I'm kiddin'... I've been readin' the instructions for the color gun.

Chase McCain: Yeah?

Vinnie Pappalardo: Yeah, you're gonna need to fill it from a "color swapper".

Chase McCain: That sounds like an unusual thing to find in a sewer.

Vinnie Pappalardo: I agree. I just have this weird feeling there'll be one down there. [He cuts the call]

Swimming in the Sewers

[If the player swims on the left side]

Chase McCain: I hope the LEGO City PD gets discounts from a dry cleaner...

[If the player swims on the right side]

Chase McCain: Prppf! Why couldn't I learn to swin backstroke?!

Key in the Sewers?

[When grabbing the key hidden in a hatch]

Chase McCain: I really don't want to know how this key ended up in a sewer.

[When opening the door on the right side]

Chase McCain: But I do want to know how come it fits this lock.

Strange Things in the Sewers

[When approaching the first red panel of the level]

Chase McCain: What a significant looking red panel that is.

[When approaching the pipes that leak gas]

Chase McCain: Ew! It smells like these pipes are used to carry sprouts!

Color Swapper Found

[When finding the first Color Swapper of the level]

Chase McCain: I guess that's a color swapper, then.

[When changing the color of the Color Gun from purple to green and receiving a message from Vinnie]

Chase McCain: The gun's got some kinda green stuff in it now.

Vinnie Pappalardo: Great! Now if you see any electrical panels which are glowin' red, you can shoot 'em with that thing to turn 'em on.

Chase McCain: Ooh! I saw one back there over a gate!

Vinnie Pappalardo: Y'know, I've always wanted to see this Bell Pepper Emerald. They say it's as big as yer head. Used to belong to some royal dame, but she sold it because wearin' it as a brooch gave her back trouble. I'll be in touch. [He cuts the call]

Find another Color Swapper

[Upon receiving a message from Vinnie]

Vinnie Pappalardo: Chase! I just read some more - keep a look out for a red color swapper.

Chase McCain: Right. Red color swapper.

Vinnie Pappalardo: Oh, this emerald - it's meant to be the most flawless one in the world. Not like those useless lumps of crystal they get outta the Bluebell Mine. I mean, they're valuable, but this thing - whoa! [He cuts the call]

Raft in the Sewers?

[When building the raft]

Chase McCain: What?! Who tries flushing an air mattress down the toilet?!

Another Color Swapper Found

[When finding the second Color Swapper of the level and receiving a message from Vinnie]

Chase McCain: Found that color swapper...

Vinnie Pappalardo: Once you've filled the color gun with red, you can use it to turn off electrical stuff by shooting any green electrical panels. Ya know, this is actually kinda like the old days when I used to rob banks myself. 'cept I ain't the one who's risking his neck this time. I'll read up some more. [He cuts the call]

That Emerald Will Make Me Lucky

[Upon receiving a message from Vinnie]

Vinnie Pappalardo: Aw, I can almost taste that big ol' gemstone! The Bell Pepper Emerald is gonna make me a fortune.

Chase McCain: You know someone that can handle the sale?

Vinnie Pappalardo: No need! We're stealin' it to order - I've been doin' some work for a private buyer and he wants it real bad. So, don't mess up! The last guy who messed up... Aw man, that was a real shame.

Chase McCain: What happened?

Vinnie Pappalardo: I couldn't justify employin' him anymore so he's sleepin' with the fishes now.

Chase McCain: What?

Vinnie Pappalardo: Yeah, he's a night watchman at the aquarium. I'll be in touch. [He cuts the call]

Silver Color to Deflect Lasers

Chase McCain: I better find the emerald and get outta here before someone catches me.

[Upon receiving a message from Vinnie]

Vinnie Pappalardo: Hey Chase! I've got to the really good part of the manual - you can use the color gun to turn things silver!

Chase McCain: That kinda defeats the point of me robbing a bank, doesn't it?

Vinnie Pappalardo: S'not real silver! But it's close enough to make stuff all shiny and reflective. Useful if there are laser beams around, capice?

Chase McCain: Yeah, that might be handy in this place.

Vinnie Pappalardo: Great! Just fill it with silver color if you see a swapper. And keep a look out for the Bell Pepper Emerald. Call me when you get outta the vault! [He cuts the call]

Searching for the Emerald

[When opening a safe in the fourth area]

Chase McCain: Huh. Well the emerald wasn't in there...

[When opening a second safe in the fourth area]

Chase McCain: Not in there, either.

[When opening a third safe in the fourth area]

Chase McCain: Aw, c'mon! It's almost like they don't want anyone to take the emerald!

Alarm Activated Accidentally

[Chase looks at the Bell Pepper Emerald, but when he tries to grab it, he sets off an alarm that attracts two guards who emerge from a door]

Chase McCain: Now that is a jewel!

Phil: Whoever's in here - you are breaking the law!

Security Police: I think they probably already know that, Phil.

Chase McCain: I guess I'm not getting out of here undetected then...

Defeated Guards

[When arresting one of the two Security Police]

Security Police: Well this is just undignified.

Part of a Combination?

[When constructing one of the two paintings with a Roman numeral]

Chase McCain: Hmm, a number... Maybe it's part of a combination.

Escaping from the Bank

[If the player climbs onto the vacuum cleaner in the lower left corner]

Chase McCain: Well, it only seems fair I do something nice for the bank, too.

Building a Relocator

[If the player approaches the Super Build in the final area with less than 30,000 bricks]

Chase McCain: Hmm... Do I have enough bricks for that Super Build? I think I might...

[If the player approaches the Super Build in the final area with more than 30,000 bricks]

Chase McCain: Ooh, I could use that Super Build. Those things are awesome!

Built Relocator

[When building the Relocator]

Chase McCain: Alright! A jet-powered snow plow!

Stolen Bank Robbery

[Verne waits for the right moment to rob the bank, but realizes it's too late because Chase already robbed it]

Verne: Hey! I was about to rob this place!

Chase McCain: Sorry!

Verne: I'm meant to have this place on Tuesdays! But, do people listen to me? No! And they call this "organized" crime...

[The level ends]

Escaping with the Emerald

[Upon receiving a message from Vinnie]

Chase McCain: I've got the emerald.

Vinnie Pappalardo: Hey! Good work, Chasey-boy! I'll send you the location of the drop-off. And if I get any other jobs, I'll give you a call.

Chase McCain: Thanks, Vinnie. [He cuts the call]

Successful Escape

[Chase goes down the ramp to reach the other side of the tunnel]

Chase McCain: There you go, one ridiculously massive emerald.

Lucky Pete: You're welcome! [He gets into the armored truck and heads to Vinnie's restaurant]

Chase McCain: Huh... Not bad for my first bank job. Uh! I mean only bank job. Hehe... Don't get sucked in by the glamor of the lifestyle, Chase!

Your Undercover Job is Going to Ruin Us!

[Upon receiving a message from Dunby]

Marion Dunby: McCain!

Chase McCain: Chief?!

Marion Dunby: So far you've cost this department an expensive sports car, a prison transport and a delivery truck full of electronics. Am I missing anything?

Chase McCain: The Bell Pepper Emerald?

Marion Dunby: What?! That thing's worth hundreds of thousands! You're going to bankrupt us! Why did you do that?!

Chase McCain: To get in with Vinnie Pappalardo's gang. Chan was working for him.

Marion Dunby: You got into Pappalardo's gang? We've been trying to pin a crime on him for years... So you don't need Chan anymore... ...Ok, I've got a job for you. You're going to get me photographic evidence against Chan's key gang members. Then we're going to arrest them and with a bit of luck one of them will give us something against Chan.

Chase McCain: I'll need to buy a camera then...

Marion Dunby: You've cost us enough! Just use your communicator's camera! If you can't figure it out, you can call officer Phillips for help. [He cuts the call]

Updated Communicator

[Upon receiving a message from Ellie]

Chase McCain: Hey Ellie. The Chief said you could help me figure out the camera on my communicator. I didn't even know it had one!

Ellie Phillips: Huh, that's odd... Lemme check your device remotely... Ah, there's your problem. You're running old software. I'll update it. [She tries to update Chase's communicator] There you go! I even stuck on some new ringtones for you.

[Dramatic and loud music is heard]

Ellie Phillips: See?

Chase McCain: Thanks. I need to get some evidence against the key players in Chan's outfit.

Ellie Phillips: Easily done. Just get in a good position to observe them and follow the instructions on the camera. It's foolproof.

Frank Honey: [off-screen] Ellie! All I got were photos of my face instead of the suspect's.

Chase McCain: [chuckles]

Ellie Phillips: But not Frank-proof. [She cuts the call]

Listening to the Gang's Plans

[When unlocking the Surveillance Camera]

Chase McCain: Before I get some photos I'd better find out what deals are going down today. If I stake out the noodle bar opposite Chan's scrapyard... ...I might get lucky and overhear their plans during lunch.

[Upon reaching the top of the tower with the Audio Scan point, two Chan Goons leave the junkyard and enter a food store]

Chase McCain: Yes! It looks like my hunch was right!

[When trying to listen to the voice recorder of the two Chan Goons]

Chan Goon: Okay, gang, it's that time of the week again! We've gotta pay off all the guys we've been having steal cars for us, so listen up. Ping, you're meeting Ray on the balcony of the pharmacy. Li, Bobby is waiting for you in the alley next to Chan's. And Feng, you're gonna take delivery of a rare car from Blake at the Limo place. If you understand your jobs then remain perfectly silent.

Chan Goon 2: Excellent! Off you go!

Chan Goon 1: Y'know, we'd make a lot more profit if we just stole cars ourselves...

Chase McCain: Proof of three crimes in three different locations! How on earth am I going to get photographic evidence against all of them? Wait... What if I wasn't on earth? If I get on top of the pagoda in the park I can see all of those meeting points!

Taking Photos to Commit Crimes

[When using the first point of Surveillance Camera]

Chase McCain: Let's see if Ping's got to the pharmacy yet...

[After taking the first photo]

Chase McCain: And picture number one is uploaded! Nice - I really got his bad side! Now we can trace that boat theft back yo you, Ping. Next up - Li in the alleyway.

[After taking the second photo]

Chase McCain: Caught in the act, Li. Naughty boy! I just need a shot of Feng receiving that stolen car and I'm done!

[After taking the third photo]

Chase McCain: Aw, fuzzy-wuzzle! That's Feng, but the car's obscured. I need to get a closer shot.

[After taking the fourth photo]

Chase McCain: That is definitely the stolen car.

[Hai Chen notices Chase]

Hai Chen: Hey! You! Stop that!

Gang Members Being Arrested

[Upon receiving a message from Dunby]

Marion Dunby: McCain!

Chase McCain: Chief?

Marion Dunby: I'm looking at the pictures you just uploaded. I don't think anyone's gonna pay you to photograph their wedding. ...but they'll just about do as evidence.

Chase McCain: That was almost a compliment...

Marion Dunby: Anyway, I've got undercover officers arresting the other gang members you photographed. So if Chan calls you, you know nothing. I don't want anything spooking him until we can get one of his gang members to testify against him.

Chase McCain: Yes, Chief. [He cuts the call]

[The chapter ends]

Story

After letting it slip that Chase had observed the empty money bags from Pappalardo's, Chan reveals that Vinnie's right-hand man, Moe De Luca is being sentenced to imprisonment and that Vinnie would be happy with anyone who could help keep Moe out of prison.

Borrowing a prison transport truck from the police station, Chase picks up Moe from the courthouse and drives him to a hideout after evading the police. Thankful for the help, Moe mentions that a shipment of color guns have come into LEGO City and that Vinnie wants to get his hands on the shipment, so he sends Chase on a mission to steal the truck and deliver it to Vinnie.

Chase enters the Pappalardo's ice cream parlor, meeting with the mob boss who was grateful for the color guns stolen. Nicknaming him 'Chasey', Vinnie sends him to the LEGO City bank to steal the Bell Pepper Emerald as a test for said color guns.

Dunby meanwhile starts to get impatient, complaining about how much Chase's undercover work is costing the station, although he admits that Chase was able to get in with Vinnie's gang, something none of the other officers were able to do for years. Dunby sends Chase to get photographic evidence of Chan's key gang members in the process of committing crimes.

After doing so, these gang members are arrested, leaving Chan with only one person left that he trusts to help him: Chase McCain.

Walkthrough

LEGO City

After completing the previous chapter, you will be at the Pagoda Pier listening to a message from Chan. When you finish listening to the message, you will hear another one, this time from Ellie. When you finish listening to this message, take someone else's vehicle and head to Cherry Tree Hills. Upon arriving in Cherry Tree Hills, go to the designated place on the east side of the Police Station. A door will open leading to the back of the station. Head towards Chuck Morrison, which is marked with a green arrow. When you finish talking to him, he will open a garage door for you, where you will find a broken down motorcycle. Grab a box next to you and place it on a green pad next to the motorcycle. However, you will need two wheels. You will find the first wheel at the Cherry Tree Hills dock. There, build a fishing rod and use it to play a minigame. In said minigame, press the action button several times until the bar above the button fills to fish the wheel. Once the minigame is over, grab the wheel, go up the stairs to return to the back of the station, and place the wheel on the broken down motorcycle. You will find the second wheel in the small room with large windows at the back of the station. Use the Robber suit to open the door to the room and destroy a cage on the left side to build a ladder. Go to the right side of the small scaffolding and destroy a yellow support to grab the wheel. Before carrying it, you can grab a small Super Brick next to you to increase your brick count by 1,000. After grabbing that Super Brick, grab the wheel, exit the room and place it on the motorcycle.

With the motorcycle built, a Time Trial will appear. Get on the motorcycle and go to the designated place to play the Time Trial. In the Time Trial, what you have to do is follow the path of ghost studs and pass through checkpoints to complete the race on time. Normally you have 35 seconds, but the time will be delayed by 5 seconds for each checkpoint you pass. You will travel through Cherry Tree Hills and Auburn during the Time Trial. If the motorcycle is destroyed by losing its four hearts or you run out of time, you will have to restart the race. The best thing you can do is focus on the checkpoints, being careful not to crash into anything. You will win the race when you cross the finish line, which is right at the entrance to the back of the station. By winning the Time Trial, Chuck will open another garage door for you, which will have a prison transport truck. You'll also unlock Time Trials, which you can start by boarding vehicles hidden throughout LEGO City.

Get on the prison transport truck and follow the path of ghost studs to the Courthouse at Kings Court. The prison transport truck has four hearts, so don't crash or you'll lose one. If you lose them all, you will have to restart the journey. Fortunately, this time there will be no time limit. When you reach the designated spot in Kings Court, a cutscene will play. When the cutscene ends, you'll take Moe to his hideout in Uptown. At first, the journey appears to be safe. Follow the path of ghost studs and make sure not to crash to avoid losing hearts. When you reach Festival Square, police cars will appear chasing you, making the journey difficult. The best thing you can do is use turbo to escape faster and be careful not to hit any cars, especially police cars. When you reach Moe's hideout in Uptown, park in the designated spot to play a cutscene.

When the cutscene ends, you'll hear a message from Moe, telling you to meet him at the LEGO City Airport. Take someone else's vehicle and follow the path of ghost studs until you reach the designated place at the LEGO City Airport. When you get there, you will see a cutscene where Moe will ask you to get in your new car to stop a delivery truck. Get in your new car, chase the delivery truck and crash into it to remove a heart. It has four hearts, which will mean you will have to crash into it four times. When you take away its four hearts, the truck will not be destroyed, but will stop and the driver will flee. Get on the truck and you will hear a message from Moe, telling you to deliver the truck to Vinnie's restaurant, which is located in Fresco. As you follow the path of ghost studs, police cars will chase you along the way. Don't let them ram the truck or it will lose a heart. The truck recovers its four hearts and if you lose them all it will be destroyed, restarting the police chase. When you reach Fresco, park the truck in the designated spot near Vinnie's restaurant, playing a cutscene.

When the scene ends, you will be outside Vinnie's restaurant. You'll unlock the Color Gun, a weapon that allows the Robber suit to shoot paint to paint things. You will hear a message from Ellie, telling you that the only way to enter the Downtown bank is through a ventilation shaft that is accessed through a sewer. Take someone else's vehicle and follow the path of ghost studs until you reach the designated place in Downtown. A green arrow will appear over a manhole cover, telling you that this manhole is the only way to enter the bank. Approach it and use the Robber suit to open it. Then, enter the sewer to start the fifth level: Dirty Work.

Special Assignment 5: Dirty Work

You start in the sewers of LEGO City. You will hear a message from Vinnie about using the Color Gun. When you're done listening to it, go down the ladder, destroy a green barrel to the left of the ladder, and use the Robber suit to open a barred door. There you will find a green valve in a small room. Grab it, place it on a green mechanism, and turn it to open a hatch. You will find a key inside that hatch. Grab it, place it on a lock on the right side, and turn it to open the door next to it. In the next room, you'll see a red panel that you can't press, along with leaking gas pipes to the right. Use a small white and blue walkway to cross to the other side and you will see two Janitors attack you. Fight them and arrest them. After defeating them, use the Miner suit to destroy a pile of black rocks next to the third gas tube and pull a lever to close the tube. Use the Robber suit to open a door next to the second gas pipe and pull another lever to close the pipe. Finally, pull a lever next to the first gas tube to close the tube, clearing the path. Go to the place where you fought the two Janitors and turn a crank to reveal a color swapper with the color green. Use it to change the color of your Color Gun from purple to green and you will hear a message from Vinnie, telling you that you can use your Color Gun to turn any red panel to green. Return to the vicinity of the door and use the Color Gun to change the color of the electrical panel from red to green (you'll need to target it by holding down the attack button). This will open a door leading to a small room with a box. Grab the box and take it to the green pad on the other side. Use the white and blue pieces from the box to rebuild a white and blue wall and climb up it. Grab onto a handhold, move to the platform on the right, and use the Robber suit to open a door that will take you to the next area.

In the next area, you will hear another message from Vinnie, telling you to go find a color swapper with the color red. Get off the platform, then go down the stairs and fight and arrest two Janitors below you. After defeating those two Janitors, go up the stairs and destroy a green barrel to reveal a question mark scanner symbol. Use the Undercover suit on it to find a hidden safe, where you will find a dynamite. Grab it with the Miner suit and place it in a barrel next to a silver pipe to the north. Move away from the dynamite and it will explode, destroying the silver tube and revealing pink pieces. Use them to build a raft in the water. Get on the raft and follow the path of studs to cross the chemicals that are on the right side of the water. Exit the raft when you reach the ledge on the right side, go up the stairs, and fight and arrest a Janitor who is waiting for you. After defeating the Janitor, go left, slide under some bars and use the Robber suit to open a barred door. Behind that door, you will find a green valve. Grab it, go back to the right, place the valve on a green mechanism and turn it to reveal a stream of water. Use it to reach the upper floor and destroy a pile of black rocks with the Miner suit to reveal a green panel. Since your Color Gun is still green, go left and destroy a red barrel next to a silver barred door to reveal dynamite. Use the Miner suit to grab it and place it in a barrel next to the silver barred door. Move away from the dynamite and it will explode, destroying the silver-barred door and revealing a red-colored sweeper. You will receive another message from Vinnie, telling you that you can use the color red to change any green panel to red. Use the newly revealed color swapper to change the color of your Color Gun from green to red and go back to the right. Use your Color Gun to change the color of the electrical panel from green to red. This will lower a platform to the right. Move along some white and blue drain pipes to reach the ledge on the right and climb a ladder to reach the next area.

In the next area, destroy three brown boxes on the right side to build a gray box on the chess floor. Push the gray box a little to the left and use the Undercover suit to remove a grate. Jump to the walkway above and you'll find a dynamite between three cones to the right. Grab it with the Miner suit and place it in a barrel along with some silver objects in the upper right corner. Move away from the dynamite and it will explode, destroying the silver objects. Use the Robber suit to open the grate of a ventilation shaft that will take you to the next area.

In the next area, use the Robber suit to open the first safe on the right side and reveal some bricks. Suddenly, you'll hear a message from Vinnie, telling you that you can change the color of things to silver to deflect lasers. Use the newly received bricks to build a color swapper with the color silver. Use it to change the color of your Color Gun from red to silver and shoot the object in the middle to change its color from light brown to silver. Push it towards the laser beam ahead, which will cause the laser to deflect forward. Go around the right side and use the Undercover suit to pull a similar object on the left, which will cause it to move to the right and deflect the laser beam to the left. The laser beam will burn a gold box to destruction, revealing a toolbox and also disabling the laser beam. Grab the toolbox and place it on a green pad in the upper right corner to build a color swapper with the color blue. Use the newly built color swapper to change the color of your Color Gun from silver to blue and shoot the white wall in the upper left corner to change its color from white to blue and white. Climb that wall to reach the upper floor and use a computer to open the bars on the right, revealing a safe. Use the Robber suit to open it and reveal some bricks. Use them to build another color swapper with the color green. Use it to change the color of your Color Gun from blue to green and shoot the red panel on the left to change it to green and open three bars with valves. Grab the first green valve, place it on the first green mechanism and turn it until you see a green light above the large valve. Repeat this with the other two valves and when the three lights above the valves are green, the safe with the Bell Pepper Emerald will open. Go back to the lower floor and go to the Bell Pepper Emerald. You'll see a cutscene where Chase goes to grab it, but before he can grab it, he accidentally sets off an alarm that attracts two guards, who emerge from a door on the upper floor. Climb back up the blue and white wall on the left to return to the upper floor, and fight and arrest the two guards attacking you. Once both are defeated, go through the door where they came out to reach the final area.

In the final area, you will see three security guards who will attack you. Fight them and arrest them. After defeating them, go to the center of the area to find a Super Build, which will ask you for 30,000 bricks to build a Relocator. If you don't have the necessary bricks, go look for Super Bricks. First, use the Undercover suit to knock down two paintings in the upper left corner and rebuild them, this time with Roman numerals. The green painting will have a number seven (VII), while the blue painting will have a number three (III). Then, go left and you will see a red tapestry with the number ten in Roman (X). On the left wall, you will see three machines with Roman numerals, which you can turn by turning one of the three green valves. Make them fit in this order: X, III, VII. As you do this, the small green valve door in the middle will open, revealing a key. Grab the key, place it in a lock in the upper left corner, and turn it to open the door next to it. Go through that door to reach a room where you will find a large Super Brick and a dynamite vending machine. Grab the large Super Brick to get 10,000 bricks and use the Miner suit on the dynamite vending machine to reveal a dynamite. Grab the dynamite and place it in a barrel next to a golden statue in the upper right corner. Move away from the dynamite and it will explode, destroying the golden statue and causing the large ball to roll until it crashes into a wall protecting a reception. Head towards the newly opened reception and you will find two safes. Use the Robber suit to open them and find two large Super Bricks, increasing your bricks to 20,000. With those three Super Bricks obtained, you should have over 30,000 bricks. Go to the multicolored pad and use the 30,000 bricks to build the Relocator. Chase will automatically get on it and the level will end.

LEGO City (Again)

Upon returning to LEGO City, you will be using the Relocator to escape from the police. You will hear a message from Vinnie, telling you that he will send you the location of the drop-off location to take the Bell Pepper Emerald to safety. Follow the path of ghost studs while avoiding the police cars that come to attack you. Your Relocator has five hearts and if you lose them all, it will be destroyed and you will have to restart the chase. You also have 3 minutes to get to the drop-off location before it's too late. If you run out of those 3 minutes, you will have to restart the chase. Your Relocator also has a very large turbo, which you can use to get away faster. The best thing for this chase is to concentrate on the path of ghost studs and use turbo when a police car comes or you see a blockade. Be careful when you get to Auburn, because that's when police trucks start coming out, which are stronger than the cars. It is best to run away from them while following the path of ghost studs. Upon reaching the Auburn Bay Bridge, where there are two blockades, go to the tunnel below to avoid the first blockade and then make sure you have too much speed so that your Recolator makes a big jump on the next ramp to avoid the second blockade. Upon crossing the second blockade, Chase will go down to the other side of the tunnel, where Lucky Pete will take the Bell Pepper Emerald to Vinnie's restaurant. Suddenly, you'll hear a message from Dunby, saying that your Undercover work is costing the station and sending you to get photographic evidence of key members of Chan's gang to commit crimes.

After listening to this message, you will receive another message, this time from Ellie. She will tell you that she will upgrade your communicator so you have a camera. After hearing this message, follow the path of ghost studs until you reach the designated place in Pagoda. There, you will unlock Surveillance Camera, which will allow you to take photos to commit crimes. You'll see an Audio Scan point appear on top of a tower opposite the entrance to Chan's gang headquarters. To get there, use the Robber suit to enter the white shop west of the entrance and you will find a color swapper with the color red. Before changing the color of your Color Gun, you can grab a small Super Brick from behind the table to get 1,000 bricks. Use the newly revealed color swapper to change the color of your Color Gun from purple to red, exit the store, go up the small stairs on the left, jump across a green awning, and grab a handhold to reach the white awning. There, use your Color Gun to change the color of a panel from green to red, turning off two fans blocking your way through. Then, use a catapult to reach the top of the tower with the Audio Scan point. You will see a cutscene where two Chan Goons leave the junkyard and enter a food store. Use the Undercover suit at the Audio Scan point to listen to a voice recorder of the two Goons.

When you finish listening to the voice recorder, a Surveillance Camera point will appear on top of the pagoda in the park. Go to Pagoda Park and there, use the Undercover suit to get on the roof of the pagoda. Then, climb the ladder to reach the top of the pagoda, where you will have to use a Surveillance Camera point to take a photo of Ping and a Chan Goon on the balcony of the red building opposite. After taking the photo, another Surveillance Camera point will appear. Use it to take a photo of Li and another Chan Goon in the alleyway. After taking the photo, another Surveillance Camera point will appear. Use it to take a photo of Feng and five Chan Goons stealing a car. After taking the photo, you will need to take another photo of Feng and five Chan Goons stealing a car, but closer up. Use a zipline to the right to descend from the pagoda and reach the entrance to the Chan's Limo Company parking lot. There, use one more Surveillance Camera point to take a closer photo of Feng and five Chan Goons stealing a car. However, when you do this, the five goons will attack you. Fight them and arrest them quickly. After defeating these Goons, you'll hear a message from Dunby, telling you that other officers in cover have been arresting members of other gangs. When you finish listening to this message, you will unlock Camera, which allows you to photograph anywhere you want. After trying the Camera mode a little, the chapter will be complete, starting the seventh chapter: One Small Job for Chan.
