A Jinxed Broom is the third level of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4. It is the third level of The Sorcerer's Stone.

Level Prelude[]

Hogwarts[]

You start in the entrance hall. Follow Nearly Headless Nick to Charms class.

Lumos[]

Main article: Lumos Lesson

Hogwarts Class Lobby[]

Unlock the passage to Lessons Hallway by using the Lumos spell on Devil's Snare. Use it one more time to open the door leading to the Potions Classroom.

Potions Classroom[]

Hogwarts (Again)[]

Exit the room and head towards the Main Room, from where you will reach the Corridor. To unlock the passage, jump onto the two brick ledges, on which you will find a chest with some chicken. Place it on the animal's tongue with Wingardium Leviosa and you will reveal the passage.

Go through the Fountain Courtyard using the Lumos on the Devil's Snare to open the passage.

Hogwarts Greenhouse[]

Main article: Lumos Solem Lesson

Exit the classroom and head to the Quidditch Grounds.

Broomsticks[]

Main article: Flying Lesson

Follow the ghost to Hagrid's Hut.

Hogwarts (Again)[]

Unlock the passage using Lumos Solem. You will come to a small square, where you will have to prepare a Strengthening Potion and complete the pieces of a mechanism that you will use to destroy the door. Destroy all three Devil's Snare using the Lumos Solem detachment and then assemble the mechanism with Wingardium Leviosa. Put it on the hooks. You'll find the ingredients for the Strengthening Potion in the bushes - aim to cast a spell on them. Drink the potion and pull the chain to destroy the barricade and move on.

Use the broom to fly over the broken bridge (if you prefer, you can use Wingardium Leviosa to rebuild the bridge and get others across, but this is optional). Head down the path towards the Quidditch Gate.

You will start this level by entering the tent.

Level Walkthrough[]

The Quidditch Stands[]

You start on a platform in front of some stairs. Go downstairs and use Wingardium Leviosa on the wall to unlock the passage. The farthest part of the map will eventually collapse - jump on the broom and fly over the hole. Go right until you come to a broken pipe. Put it back together with Wingardium Leviosa by placing the right items in the right places. Switch to Ron, use Scabbers and enter the pipe. Scare the student next to the chest - the spheres will fly out and break a part of the map. Go back to the knocked down bricks. You have to arrange them correctly (as shown in the in-game image) using the Wingardium Leviosa spell. Go upstairs, make a shelf out of the bricks with Wingardium Leviosa and use Hermione to read it. Push the plates in the order shown on the screen. After unlocking the passage, continue to the right. Shoot cover twice - the character will pull a lever and open a trapdoor below the student on the floor above. Lay the bricks with Wingardium Leviosa so you can climb the stairs. Climb the ladder to proceed to the next area.

In the next area, approach the shelf and read the signs using Hermione. Use the bricks on the left and fix a ladder with Wingardium Leviosa; use the bricks obtained from the shelf and fix them with Wingardium Leviosa to the wall, thus creating more stairs. Jump to the top and destroy the chests on the left, which will unlock a passage. Pass the passage to finish the level.

  • House Crests
    • Gryffindor
      • (S) You will find 7 flagpoles throughout the first area of ​​the level. Use Wingardium Leviosa on each one to raise the flags and get this crest. They are really hard to miss.
        1. Near the place where you start the level.
        2. Near the stairs.
        3. Near the gap at the beginning of the level.
        4. Near the broken pipe.
        5. At the end of the broken pipe.
        6. Above the previous flag pole.
        7. Near the bricks at the end of the first area.
    • Slytherin
      • (S) Once you have to place the bricks to move forward, place them the other way round so you can jump to the second part of the ridge.
    • Hufflepuff
      • (F) After going up the brick stairs, you will find a blockage that you can destroy with Reducto. On the left, you will find pixies holding a chest - use Immobulus to drive them away and get this crest.
    • Ravenclaw
      • (F) After opening the trapdoor, before going up the ladder, jump to the door on the left (sideways) and use Dark Magic on the barrel at the end to get this crest.
  • Student in Peril
    • (F) Right after the tunnel and up the brick stairs you will find a blockage which you can destroy with Reducto to save this student.
  • Tokens
    • Fred (Quidditch)
      • (F) You will find a chest right next to the tube. Use Reducto to destroy the silver lock and get this character token.
    • Harry (Girl Disguise)
      • (S) After reaching the trapdoor, switch to Ron and use Scabbers. The token is under the stairs - it's covered.
    • Marcus Flint
      • (F) Immediately after creating the staircase from bricks, you will find a closet on the left - use Dark Magic on it to get this character token.

Unlockables[]

Fred (Quidditch), Harry (Girl Disguise), and Marcus Flint can be purchased from Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions in Diagon Alley after collecting their Character Tokens. You will also be able to continue to The Restricted Section.
